“Why not?” Marcus asked, raising a brow slightly. “I thought you might enjoy it. Besides, it wasn't any trouble or anything.” he trailed off.

"I know but it was just…really the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me and I love this place it's like me coming here I can finally breathe, this is so new and exciting and I don't have that in London."/

Marcus gave a thoughtful nod, trying not to feel bad, or at least let it show that he felt bad, that someone like Maria wasn't treated like this more often. “Well, I'm glad that you like this so much.” he smiled sincerely. “But uh… Have you ever been on the Eye of London before? I think that's the name for it. It's the tallest Ferris Wheel in the world.”

Maria smiled back at him and nodded her head "I really am thank you, um.. well I can't say I have I didn't even know that was a thing… Maybe when I go back I could try it out but I can't promise that if I'm alone I will. " she said shrugging her shoulders

Marcus smiled warmly at the thanks and nodded at her explanation. “That's fair enough. It's probably a huge tourist attraction anyway.” he acknowledged. “Hey, maybe sometime I could visit London and we could see it together.”

"Yeah if bet it probably is, wait you'd actually do that?"

“Why not?” he shrugged. “I've never been to London and it sounds interesting. Plus, you probably know your way around better than I do so…” he smiled, trailing off.

"Well I mostly only know the area around me but I'm sure it would be fun to go and adventure around with you."

“That's fair enough.” he nodded. “You can show me around your neighborhood then we'll explore together. Sounds like an adventure to me.” he grinned.

"I think that sounds amazing ' she said with a smile on her face

Marcus smiled back with a light chuckle. “Obviously, we'll do it after you've finished your summer here. Any recommendations on which season is the best in London?”

"Well I would go out there in the spring that's when everything starts blooming like march through may I feel is the best time."

“Sounds good to me. I'll be sure to keep that in mind.” he smiled as the ride started to bring them back down.

Maria smiled and nodded "something tells me that London will be more fun with you there."

Marcus chuckled softly as he fought back another blush. “I… Thanks.” he said, hoping that her opinion of him would stay positive over the summer.

"Yeah of course." She said sweetly sitting up a little bit

Marcus smiled back, a little shyly, and nodded. “I hope that we'll have as good a time in London as you have here this summer.”

"I'm sure we will Marcus." She said laughing a little bit "so what do you want to do after this?"

“Oh. I was thinking, no carnival experience is complete without having a meal on a stick and some funnel cake.” he answered with a little shrug. “Then if they have fireworks, we'll find a good place to watch them before we leave.”

Maria smiled softly "oh that sounds fun Marcus! But um..I feel like I may have asked his before but food on a stick?"

“I don't think you did… But there are some American foods that come served on a stick, so you can keep your hands clean.” he answered. “At least, that's one reason. Anyway, I was thinking we could just have corn dogs. It's basically a hot dog that’s been battered and deep fried on a stick.”

She laughed a little " oh I see..that sounds like a very unhealthy food option but you can't knock it till you try it I guess, right?" She gave him a sweet little smile as she looked at him she looked almost as innocent as a child

“Yeah.” Marcus chuckled. “It's not… It's honestly a type of junk food, but it's also surprisingly good.” he smiled back as the ride slowly came to a stop to let them off.

Maria laughed and nodded "well then ill try it." She nodded before they sttod up and got out of tbe ride

“Alright.” Marc smiled back, climbing out of the ride with her. “I think I saw a couple of food vendors over that way.” he pointed out with a brief gesture.

"Oh okay lean the way then." She smiled softly and stepped aside because she was completely lost

“Sure.” Marc nodded with a gentle smile, offering his arm before walking in the right direction.

Maria giggled a little before locking arms with and and looked up at him with a small smile before they started walking

Marcus chuckled softly with her, smiling back, and walked away from the Ferris Wheel. “I really hope you like these.” he admitted as he lead the way to the food.

"Im sure i will." She said with a small laughvas they made their way through the now smaller crowds of people
