“Only if you want to.” he assured as they started walking towards the big ride. “Once the ride starts, you can't get off until it's over.” he warned gently.

"I know I'll be fine I promise." She said giving his hand a reassuring squeeze

“Alright.” he nodded, smiling back as he rubbed his thumb across the back of her hand.

That made her blush it normally did as she smiled back at him

Marc chuckled a little at her cute blush as they stood in the fortunately fast-moving line. It wasn't very fast, since there was a wait between loading and unloading while the ride was in motion, but a decent enough pace that people didn't get irritable or impatient for their turn.

She was getting a little anxious the more she wait she couldn't really help it she was nervous she hadn't even noticed she was squeezing Marcus's hand

“It’ll be ok.” he encouraged, rubbing the back of her hand again. He didn't mind her grip. “But we can still get out of the line if you don't want to get on.”

"Huh oh no it's okay I'm just a little nervous. " she smiled up at him as the line moved up

“Alright.” he nodded, smiling back at her. “And I'm going to be with you the whole time.” he assured as they approached the ride.

"You better be. " she said laughing nervously her British accent a little more noticeable now

“I will. Look at the seats.” he laughed with her, gesturing to the carriage with the safety bars and seat belts. “I'm right at your side.”

She nodded her head with a smile "right here… " she echoed

“You ready?” he asked when it was their turn to get on. Most of the other passengers were already boarding and having their safety equipment double checked.

"Yeah I think so. " she said talking a deep breath as they stepped into the ride

Marcus smiled encouragingly and slid into the cart next to her.

“Make sure your seatbelt is tight and hang on to the safety bar in front of you.” the employee reminded as they lowered the bar into place.

Maria did as the employee told her to do fastening her seat belt and gripping the bar in front of her until her knuckles turned white gripping it like her life depended on doing so but she tried to look excited so she didn't worry Marcus

Marcus wasn't fooled by her act as he tightened his seatbelt. He gently put his hand on top of hers before the ride gave a small jolt to start moving.

She jumped a little at the movement she was an absolute mess and the ride hadn't even started yet

“It's ok.” he assured her as the ride climbed the rail. “It'll be over before you know it and you can pick what we do next.”

She nodded her head and before she had the chance to say anything the ride rushed down the railing causing Maria to help and cling onto Marcus

Marcus had been more focused on her than on the ride so he ended up letting out a bit surprised yelp too when they reached the drop. But he didn't mind her holding on to him.

Maria held onto Marcus for what felt like hours with her face covered by his shoulder

Marcus was still having fun, but he felt bad for terrifying Maria with this. The ride didn't really take more than 15 minutes but he was relieved for her sake when the ride ended.

Maria herself was beyond relived when the ride was over and she felt incredibly awkward once she noticed how tight she was holding Marcus they got out of the ride and she rubbed the back of her neck "sorry.. "

“No. I'm sorry.” he shook his head. “I should have known that this might be a little too much for you.” he apologized as he lifted the bar out of the way.

"I don't blame you I agreed to it Marcus. "

“Still…” he sighed as he climbed out of the ride. “Did you enjoy it at all?”

She climbed out after him "I mean it was the most horrible thing I've ever done it wasn't just… New. "

“I’m sorry. Did you say it was or wasn't?” he asked just to clarify since he didn't quite catch that part of what she said.

"It wasn't. " she said with a soft smile
