"Apparently not because I've had multiple drinks thrown in my face on multiple occasions over it." He sighed dramatically. "Such is the woeful story that is my life."

“Oh… You poor man. How could anyone treat you that way.” she said starting in an equally dramatic fashion but she couldn't help giggling towards the end. “I’m sorry. I couldn't resist. At least now you have me to be a bit of a buffer between your theatricality and everyone else.”

@Elder-God-Jacks347

"That will definitely be decreased with you here. People are fine with me being kicked out but they don't like having to kick innocent people with it. Especially ladies."

Charlotte giggled with him before her eyes widened at the sight of the market. She had been to a couple before but that had mostly been for business and this one was much bigger than the ones she'd seen.

@Elder-God-Jacks347

"You wanna find some stuff on your own and meet back or go through the whole thing together?" He offered. He knew things were exciting and wanted to give Charlotte as much freedom as he could.

“I wouldn't mind staying together. That way I can keep you out of trouble.” she admitted with another giggle. Though she was perhaps a little nervous about being around so many people at her size. It was an easy fix with the bracelet but…

"Alright then. Together it is then." Rodney hummed as he started down the aisles of stalls, looking through them with an eternally curious look on his face.

@Elder-God-Jacks347

Rodney picked up a few things he knew they would need but was mostly quiet, just letting Charlotte take in the market and see all there was to offer.

Charlotte was a little less quiet than her friend as they wandered. She would watch as he bought things and occasionally make suggestions about similar items or even fly down to get a better look at others. But she always flew back up to his shoulder before he moved on.

@Elder-God-Jacks347

Rodney just smiled at her constant tittering about, finding it rather adorable. He was mostly just glad she was having fun and getting into the spirit.

Charlotte was certainly having fun, making sure to be friendly and polite with the different vendors as they stopped by their stalls. She smiled back at Rodney when she noticed him looking at her, glad that he seemed to be enjoying himself as well.

@Elder-God-Jacks347

Rodney made sure to help her along, translating the few times that the vendors didn't speak their language and telling her about the different foods and items being sold that he figured she may not recognize.

Charlotte was very grateful every time Rodney was able to translate for her and whenever he pointed out new things. Apparently, her hometown was more sheltered than she thought. Though she resolved to learn different languages as they traveled. After all, if he was serious about her traveling on her own at some point then it would be better to understand the people and cultures they would come across.

@Elder-God-Jacks347

Rodney could tell that she wanted to learn her own set of languages, chuckling softly to himself. He loved learning languages, it's why he knew so many. He just hoped she'd learn ones different from his. Maybe they'd span all of them together.

Charlotte looked up at his laugh, raising a brow as she felt her face turn pink. She didn't know why but she certainly felt like he laughed at something she'd done. Though she couldn't think of what. “Are you reading me again?” she asked, a little jealous of that ability.

@Elder-God-Jacks347

He hummed slightly with a smile. "Maybe a little. I can see how much you want to be able to translate on your own which means learning languages. I don't blame you, I did too. Maybe together we can learn all of them."

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

“Oh, that would be interesting.” she nodded. “But there are a lot of different languages and I know that some people take quite a while to just learn one.” she pointed out, hoping that she wasn't one of them. Though in her defense she did know a little bit of the Pixie language, spoken and written.

@Elder-God-Jacks347

"Of course, of course. Not everyone picks up languages without a bit of magic. There are translation spells and language potions that make life easier for traveling nobility or just travelers themselves. I've made quite a few."
