Kaylum shot Seren a glare, but nothing more. Timing was important here. His muscles where tensed, but he didn’t know when to let them propel him into motion. Perhaps he should let this be a test. See what happens.
“He decided to be a cowardly little son of a b*tch,” he shrugged.

His gaze fell on the whip. In a moment, he shifted, his draconic form taking up a more significant portion of space in the tent. Taking a few steps, he swatted the guard who was holding Nikolas away, then shoved the human prince underneath him, and crouched so he could protect him with his body.

Nik couldn't help the faint sound of pain that escaped him at the shove, staring up at Kaylum and Seren. Seren straightened, glaring at Kaylum. "Prince Kaylum." he said slowly. "Just what do you think you are doing?"

@Tired-but-passionate

Kaylum rolled his eyes. "I'm not going to dignify that with an answer."
If he was being honest, he didn't think he would make it this far, so he absolutely had no idea what he would do beyond this point.

Kaylum blinked. A thought had entered his brain. He was about to be very reckless, but no better alternatives came to mind. He bent down to Nikolas was hiding underneath him. “Sorry,” he said, and picked him up by the neck of his clothes. Then, he booked it out of the tent, wings flapping above him.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Nik went stiff when Kaylum grabbed his clothes. The fabric made a few snapping sounds in protest, the clothing very much not designed to take Nikolas's weight. He did his best to hold onto the dragon shifter, knowing that if Kaylum dropped him it could ruin everything.

Seren and the guards chased after, the guards raising the alarm.

If Kaylum had a sibling, and they liked to chase each other around, he imagined that this is what it would feel like. Terrifying and fun.
He wanted to fly so bad. His wings flapped desperately as he ran, and sometimes he jumped in the air, only to get a little bit of lift and glide before he descended to the ground. He wasn’t even sure where he was going. He really hoped he wouldn’t let go of Nikolas.

@ElderGod-Icefire

The whole camp was soon after them in some fashion, doing their best to bring the princes back. Nikolas, for his part, could only cling to Kaylum and pray that this worked out for them both. If Kaylum dropped him…well, if Kaylum dropped him, then nik could only hope that the shifter prince would escape, rather than come back for him.
