Lucy. Lucy Lucy Lucy Lucy Lucy Lucy Lucy I’m so so so sorry—
A pain that was worse than anything she had felt since that fateful day seized her by throat and pierced her dead heart. She shut her eyes and let out a sharp wail, unable to stop herself.
“DO NOT EVER SPEAK THAT NAME. LEAVE THIS PLACE AND LEAVE THE DEAD AMONG THE DEAD,” she screamed at him, not planning to leave the tree even for instant.

"Ah. You're not that slutty ditz, are you then?" he said, face falling to a bored, flat expression. "Really, three suitors?" he added, laughing to himself a bit. "But really, who are you if not… oh. Oh. Miss Murray, I take it?" he said. "How did that happen then? The vampirism?"

(Scene idea: Dorian finds Mina crying over Jonathan, and comforts her. Not because he legitimately cares for her, not yet, but to be more comforting than loneliness is to gain control and ability to manipulate a person.)

Mina could not bear this any longer. She leaped down from the tree, shifted into a wolf, and disappeared into woods. Immediately trying to bury everything again, she found the pack’s scent and followed it, wanting to make sure they were all alright.

Dorian, after the fact, realized he could have stood to be nicer about things. He didn't regret anything, though. Hurting people was an indulgence for him, and frankly, he'd find other ways to get this woman by his side. He walked up to the castle, managing to scale the walls and enter through an open window. He might as well explore where this monster lived.

Soon, the scent of the pack started reeking of blood. Small puddles and drops were littered everywhere Mina walked. After walking for some time, a few she-wolves came, having heard her wail from earlier. They whimpered in concern, but she dismissed them with a flick of her tail. They fell in on either side of her as she walked on.
The pack had stopped at the foot of a small hill. Everyone, whether they were injured or not, was gathered around the dead body. It was bloody from the slashes, with eyes closed. Mina let out a soft, low whine at the sight. They joined the rest, and sat in silence until the the leader of the pack sent one to clean the wolf’s wounds and cover it with dead leaves. The pack dispersed, and Mina transformed into a human.
“I’m sorry, Gri,” she whispered, then went off to help extract the bullets from the wolves’ wounds.

Dorian took his sweet time exploring the castle, first finding the dungeon and when dissatisfied with a distinct lack of torture weapons, moved on to the North Wing of the place, which looked the most lived-in, like Mina spent most of her time there. He then found her bedroom, rifled through her belongings, and then when he found nothing he could use against her went to sleep. Immortals needed their beauty rest, and Dorian felt lucky he rarely dreamed. Some immortals, he knew, would go mad with the dreams they had.

After extracting the bullets, Mina went and found some herbs that would help heal the wounds. Over the years, she had learned how to identify and use those herbs for medical purposes, and for occasions like this it was particularly useful. When she was done, a wave of worry came over her. Though she wanted to visit her love, she did not know what became of the human. She had to take care of him first. Bidding the pack farewell, she shifted again and ran in the direction of the castle.

It was quiet. She stood in the entrance hall, looking up the stairs that led to the next floor and the North Wing. Raising her muzzle, she sniffed the air. His scent was everywhere. Mina shuddered. Transforming into a human again, she made her way to her room.
It was an interesting kind of rage to experience, seeing the way her privacy had been invaded. Her eyes burned red again, but that was her only show of emotion. Walking up to the bed, she shifted again and snapped her jaws around his torso. She pulled him off of the bed as if he were a rag doll, then carried him out of the room, planning to get him to the dungeons.

Dorian woke up, a bit sleep-drunk and stupid. He swatted at Mina's face, escaping her grasp and rolling onto the floor, the marks from her teeth healing quickly as he stood up, facing her down with a knife now in hand. "I don't do games that I'm set to lose, Mina, darling." he said, slowly backing up. He wasn't scared, but he didn't want to get stuck here and have to deal with this crazy vampire lady and her wolf posse.

Mina stared at him, and in that moment just gave up. He was too slippery to be made into a meal. Well, it wasn’t like she had much practice with live prey. Most of her victims were either asleep, already dead, or in some rare cases, chose freeze instead of fight or flight.
She transformed into a human. “Don’t call me that,” she said.

"What, darling? Is that really so… offensive?" somehow he'd slipped up behind Mina while she'd transformed, knife digging into her throat just enough for blood to bead at the surface. He then removed the knife, and allowed himself to recline back on her bed. "Listen, Fangs, I was just curious. You didn't have to get your knickers in a twist all over some human. I don't even think I'd count as a person at this point. So why the drama? It isn't a good image."

@Tired-but-passionate

“You don’t know me.” Her voice was monotonous, and her eyes had returned to their green color as emotions left her. She barely noticed the knife, or the slice it made healing up.
“Don’t call me that either,” she said, turning around to face him. Then some emotion leaked back in, and her eyes began to water. “You don’t know me,” she said again.

Dorian noticed an in. "Oh, I know what this is about. I understand. I've lost people too. A man named Basil Hallward, probably the only man I every really loved. A bit older than me, but so sweet, and meant all too well in the end. He…" Dorian tried to think back to when the man was alive, and this made his eyes tear up a bit with the strain on his limited mind, which after decades of memories was having a hard time recalling. It did give the illusion of loss, of memory, of anguish at what could have been, though. "ah, yes. I was too innocent in those days, and he too hopeful. His death, I admit, shattered me." well, he had murdered the man, but Mina didn't need to know that for now.

@Tired-but-passionate

Mina’s eyes narrowed with suspicion. Cautiously, she nodded. He’d guessed correctly, after all. She was quiet, though. There had never been anyone she could talk to about these subjects before; it was too complicated for the wolves to truly understand.

"Do you want to talk to me about who you've lost? I promise, I'll listen. I do love the sound of my own voice, but only to a certain extent." he said, voice turning from mocking to anguished to now with this statement gentle, as he patted his side on the giant bed, which must have been so lonely to not be sharing with someone you loved.
