(Those'll take you a while. If there hard at least.)
(Yeah… Im in accelerated English and I have a project due tomorrow for a book we read.)
(Welp, good luck with that.)
"You're not!" Darren looked up in surprise
"Not yet," the principle looks down at Darren, "I don't want to suspend our star quarterback."
Darren smiled smugly… "Are you going to at least talk to Alek about his bullying problems?"
"If that is what really happened," he thinks for a second, "then possibly."
"Can we go then…" Darren turned his attention to the door. "Not to be pushy but we have theater practice!"
Lillian nodded.
The principle sighed, "Very well. I hope I don't see ANY of you here again." He looked at Lillian. She stuck her tongue out and saluted him while leaving. He sighed a little louder.
"That was-…Fun!" Darren said to the group "I should show up there more often when im told to!"
"Or you could go with me when I bother him for more funds," Lillian said.
"It's weird that you guys have to beg for that kind of stuff… The football team is what I would call "Over-funded"!"
"That was stressful… and I didn't even have to be there!"
"Nah, I had fun" Darren had a cheesy smile plastered onto his face.
(Is @camiestrange still here?)
"Just a regular old school," Lillian sighed, "Over funded sports, and under funded music and theater."
"Yeah guess I never noticed that"
"It's easy to notice if your in band, choir, orchestra, or theater," Lillian shrugged.
"Until recently I was non of the above…" Darren's smile had faded to more of a light smirk, the kind of smile that didn't even reach his eyes.
"Yeah, and I'm in two," Lillian sighed. It wasn't fair, the jocks never had to worry about anything, while they had to constantly fight to keep the program running. She had even heard rumors that the school was cutting both full time band directors to part time.
"At least I can scratch Going to the principals office off my bucket list!" Darren smile suddenly returned as he laughed at his own joke.
"Yeah, I'd never have that on my bucket list. What even is a bucket list? Is that something you silly humans like to make?"
"Yeah you can," Lillian rolled her eyes.
"Alek is one step away from starting a war though, seriously, next time I might kill him!" Darren's face turned tense with anger like it had before in the class room.
"I have a trombone slide that is calling his name," Lillian cracked her knuckles.
"It's all fun and games until Lillian hits people with large chunks of metal!" Darren laughed again.
"Hitting someone with a trombone is a terrible, horrible incredibly stupid idea," Darren went on "Let's try it and see what happens…"
"Wouldn't be the first time I've done it though," Lillian told him.
"I'll remember that next time I need to beat some one up!"
