Markus scoffed. "Yeah, that's bullshit." he said, crossing his arms and arching an eyebrow at the older woman. "I'm not a fuckin' witch. They aren't real, and I'm going to head home. I've got more important shit to do than…whatever the hell this is." he waved a hand vaguely.

@EtherealDreamer

Clementine drew her brows together angrily.
"realms of service?" She asked "Witches Of Elements?" She added briskly.

She re-crossed her arms over her chest.
"How do we find out what element we are?" She asked curiously, her face softening slightly.

Ash couldn’t help but chuckle softly at the varied reactions the other all had to the news. Honestly, she was less skeptical about the situation. “I… may have dabbled a little in rune magic and in alchemy but I'm not familiar with elemental magic.” she admitted, keeping her comment about the only male present potentially being the one to use fire because of his apparently hot-headed demeanor.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(tbh Markus would almost be a better fire witch than air bc of the personality, but he'll be a great air witch as well definitely won't figure out how to kill anyone with it lmao)

@CWPoofToxicRush

((Yes but imagine:

Antagonist: ah, he's an air witch, he will be calm and easy to take out

Markus: is out for fucking blood

Antagonist: ah, we have fucked up))

@ElderGod-Icefire

(yes I love that!! ghkbsdfdgbk antagonist just,,, assuming that the fire witch is gonna be the hardest one to take out, meanwhile Markus ready to Fuck Shit Up lmao)

Farah almost held her hand up to silence the barrage of questions, but since it was all knew, she figured that she would give them a day apart from her normal methods of interacting with her students.

To begin, she inclined her head toward Ash momentarily. "I know," she said simply. "And you're quite good. I trust you will bring those interests and techniques you've previously learned with you into your training here, and it will be able to grow into a worthy skill."

Next, she addressed Clementine. "You were born with your elemental abilities, whether you've realized it or not yet. Tomorrow, you will use the Vessel to access your magic and learn for yourselves which elemental witch you are. And as for those of you who don't believe in silly things that couldn't possibly be real, like witches…"

Farah snapped her fingers and murmured something under her breath. A droplet of water appeared in the air above the company's heads. She murmured something else before the water droplet fell to the floor, but instead of splattering water, it burst into flame. It lingered, burning for a moment longer before Farah whispered her third incantation, and a swift wind came from nowhere to extinguish the fire completely. Then, where the fire had been, a small bundle of daisies began to grow from a small, barely noticeable crack in the floor.

"Think again."

@CWPoofToxicRush

Crimson watched the fire disappear before her, awe clear on her face. "Holy shit…" She whispered softly, before looking back up at the woman. "Who are you?"

@emilyevewrites group

Farah lifted her chin in a demonstration of pure confidence and authority. "My name is Farah Dowling. Please try and forget my first name immediately. Mentors don't have first names. You all are to call me Ms. Dowling, and as I previously stated, you four will be learning your magic under my mentorship."

(Also, I added a bit more to the last post to include examples of all the elements)

@EtherealDreamer

"Ms. Dowling" Clementine whispered aloud, testing out the name.
"When do we start?" She asked excitedly. She wasn't all to surprised magic was real, after all she grew up on Harry Potter.

She had always hoped the books had given her insight to a world that actually did exist. She always imagined going to Hogwarts.

"This isn't Hogwarts but its cool nonetheless." She commented quickly, with a small smirk to herself.

Ash smiled almost shyly, blushing, at the compliment towards her current skill in magic. “Thank you, ma’am. I will.” she promised, since she had already put the necessary equipment for both practices in her trunk.

She watched the display in wide-eyed amazement. This magic was so different from what she was used to and she was eager to learn it. And to know which of those four elements she would be able to master. “I’m looking forward to being one of your students, Ms. Dowling.” she said breathlessly, though still with respect. “My name is Ash. Ash Slymare.” she introduced herself to both her new teacher and the others who had arrived with her.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Markus's gaze followed the display of magic, but skepticism was still clear in his gaze. "Nice trick." he commented, rolling his shoulders back just a little bit. "But I'm afraid that I'm not quite that gullible." could it be real? Sure. Was it? Not likely. Couldn't be, after all. If this was one of the Roses' tricks, he was going to be pissed.

@CWPoofToxicRush

"Right. Um, quick question, you came to the conclusion that we could do this… how, exactly?" Crimson asked, looking around at the mismatched group. "Because I know damn well the closest I've ever gotten to magic was card tricks in middle school. And I wasn't even good at them."

@EtherealDreamer

Clementine nodded in agreement.
"I mean I always hoped the wizarding world was real and magic was a daily thing…" she said wildly "but I always thought I'd be spending my time in the world of magic at Hogwarts" she added quickly, looking around.

(hello darlings! I'm back! I'm so sorry I've been gone for so long and disappeared without any warning. My life has kind of been in a downward spiral recently, but I'm going to be on more often now. I have a lot of rps to respond to, so if it takes me a while to respond to a rp I'm in with you, I'm sorry! I'll do my best to catch up tonight. <3)

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

(😃 welcome back Camie! I'm sorry to hear that things weren't going too good for you for a while but I believe that I can say we're all glad to have you back and that you're doing better! There's no rush to respond. Just concerned friends.)

@emilyevewrites group

"Hogwarts?" Farah asked, arching an eyebrow at Clementine. "Please. Alfea is a much more prestigious school than Hogwarts. But your lessons will begin tomorrow, so I suggest you get yourselves settled tonight and as soon as possible."

Farah inclined her head to acknowledge Ash's remarks. "Hello, Ash. I'm looking forward to teaching you as well."

After a sharp inhale to prepare herself, Farah faced the only male in the group. "I didn't think you would be, Markus." She studied him briefly before arching her eyebrows at him. "But that will change soon enough. Clearly, for you, seeing isn't believing."

Finally, the woman turned to address Crimson, but before she could, another woman – about 8 inches shorter than Farah with dark hair – suddenly rounded the corner looking down at a scroll in her hand. "Farah, I don't know where Callum got these runes from, but they're all wrong. Could you–" The woman instantly stopped talking when she saw the four other people in the room with Farah. "I wasn't aware they'd be arriving today," she muttered.

Farah pursed her lips briefly. "I'll fix his mistakes," she remarked simply before turning back to the group. "An introduction may be in order here. "Ash, Clementine, Markus, and Crimson, this is Tissaia de Vries. She'll be helping you along in your lessons as well."

Tissaia offered a fleeting smile to the students.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Markus's gaze was flat as he looked at Farah. "You'd have to be a bit thick in the head to think that just because you saw it, it's real." he replied, knowing that this attitude might not win him any friends. But he didn't need friends to succeed here.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Ash almost rolled her eyes at the other's comments about magic, though she had to admit that she shared… Crimson’s curiosity regarding how the older woman knew they were capable of this elemental magic. But she believed that the question could have been phrased a little bit better.

Once again, the blonde felt herself blush at her new teacher’s acknowledgment and listened to how she addressed everyone else's comments. When she was interrupted, however, Ash watched the other woman cautiously as she heard the soft-spoken comment about their arrival. At least until Ms. Dowling introduced her as another teacher, smiling softly back.

@emilyevewrites group

Farah parted her lips to reply to Markus, but Tissaia interjected before the former woman had the chance to speak. "If you think you're so smart, then do explain to us why it is that you're here, hm? You're not in your world anymore. You're in ours. In our world, you need to believe in the magic that surrounds us. Without belief you won't be able to do anything. If seeing it first is what you need, so be it. But even if you've seen and don't believe, gods help you."

With that, Tissaia pivoted and walked back down the hall from which she came, leaving Farah by herself again to do whatever damage control there might be.

"I suggest you all get to your rooms now," Ms. Dowling remarked. "If you collect your trunks, I'll lead you. You'll get your formal tour of the grounds tomorrow."
