O'Hara paced back over and stood in front of Ravelynn. "You think you can wave off what just happened that easily?"
O'Hara paced back over and stood in front of Ravelynn. "You think you can wave off what just happened that easily?"
"i don't wanna talk about it alright!"
O'Hara scoffed. "So you'd rather have stayed asleep then?"
ravelynn looked away, " dont." she said through the new spring of tears
O'Hara sighed. "Look, I don't mean to pry, but have you received any kind of treatment?"
" i dont need it." she said solemnly
O'Hara scoffed lightly. "That's laughable. What if I hadn't been here?"
" i would have bared through it."
"Right," O'Hara muttered, rolling her eyes. "And you could've hurt yourself."
" i thought you didn't care," she said, her baby blues looking to the woman in front of her.
O'Hara inhaled sharply and lifted her chin. "I never said I didn't care. I have a heart, you know."
" so what the hell do you want me to do about it?"
O'Hara turned back to her patient and began to fix the IV line again. "Nothing," she muttered. "I haven't expected you to do anything, and yet somehow, I've still felt disappointed."
" how so? You smoke and I have night terrors. "
At that, the doctor couldn't help but laugh shortly. "What is your problem with my smoking habit, hm? Why is it such a big deal to you?"
" it's how my mother died."
O'Hara's expression turned guarded quickly. "Oh."
" it's alright it was a few years ago.." she said and tried to get comfy again
O'Hara nodded, not looking up at Ravelynn. "I'm sorry."
" don't see why, you didn't know, no one does."
"Well, I'm still sorry," O'Hara remarked, jotting a few notes down about the patient's blood pressure and heart rate. "My mother is dead as well."
" may I ask why?"
"No," O'Hara replied shortly. "You may not."
" alright." She said and sighed
O'Hara spared a glance up. "Don't you have anywhere else to be?"
" nopw, not unless your taking me home. "
The doctor scoffed. "You don't have a car? Is your shift even over?"
" I have my truck, my shift it over and I don't wanna go home to a drunk dumbass I call loverboy."
O'Hara had yet to look up. "Ah, the wonders of romance," she remarked half-heartedly.
" yeah. There's no love there. Just a bottle of whiskey"
