"Well then don't call it nothing," she closed her eyes, "That is damage and the mental damage is so much worse."she let out a shaky breath "There was a time when I though I was fine because I did not wear my scars I would be fine. That it really was nothing," She traced invisible lines on her wrists, "It wasn't the beatings that almost killed me, but the memories and fear."
"Why would your costume be made of silver?" Inima asked him, "It would make sense if I did it, but I don't understand why you would."
Murdock nodded. "That's what the therapist says. Says I should talk about it instead of ignoring it. And I kinda wanna try talking about it, but every time I do people don't believe me. Or they think I'm even weirder than before," he said, pressing his face into his knees
Tsuki sat on the floor, wrapping a piece of gauze on her newest wound to stop it from bleeding.
"Well, 'cause…" He waved his hands around vaguely. "Because electricity is kind of silver if you think about it! Come on, think about it. It was a terrible idea, but it could have worked."
(oof I keep trying to figure out a way to get everyone to like…be one large friend group and it's not working lol)
"Gold would have worked better," Inima pointed out, "It has a higher conductivity rate."
"Give me your phone," She held you her hand for the phone, "What kind of friend would I be if I did not listen? Just don't tell Ikuko about my history."
(Hold on, @Nerd, I'll try to steer things a little to get some interaction time with Tsuki."
Andrei, a bit caught up in that could-have-been costume and the way 'Nima had taken so well to the idea of friendship, nearly tripped on the girl bandaging herself. "Hey, be a little careful, yeah?" was what came out of his mouth in his surprise. "Of course, by which I mean I need to be more careful. That was on me. I didn't step on you, right?"
She could still remember the ripping pain as her bones cracked under her skin and poked out of her flesh, pushing into the hood of a car as she saved a small child from being run over
“What? No.” Tsuki attempted a smile. “I’m fine.”
(I've gtg, so pretended Inima is standing there quietly watching or something.)
(Yep! Of course! Take care, Shade, thanks for playing with me!)
Fine, fine, why is everyone here just 'fine'? Why not 'a little out of sorts,' or 'bleeding to death, actually,' or 'having a hard time coping with my inner demons at the moment'? Andrei bit his tongue right before speaking, though - a first, and probably a last, too. "If you're sure," he told her, eyeing the spots of blood on the bandages. "I'm Andrei. Andrei Hawkins. I haven't met you yet, don't think."
(oof I keep trying to figure out a way to get everyone to like…be one large friend group and it's not working lol)
(Oh, man, I know. andrei didn't want to be sensitive and stay with murdock and it just got harder to keep people together. they'll come together eventually, i'm sure)
Murdock patted his pockets for a moment, trying to find his phone. He handed it to Yuuka sheepishly
(o u c h an ant bit me on the lip. i love summer)
“You haven’t.” Tsuki nodded at him and started bandaging her arm. “Nice to meet you, Andrei.” she smiled.
(lol yeah. maybe when we move on to some of the later stuff like when they get paired to fight each other everyone will get along a little better)
(o u c h an ant bit me on the lip. i love summer)
(oh my god that sounds horrible)
"Likewise." It wasn't that he'd never seen blood before; it was something in the way she was so casual about it that made him crouch down and gesture toward her injuries. "I can help you with that, if you'd like. It'd be no problem, actually."
"Call or text any time," she said wile putting in her contact information and sending a message to herself, "Even is it's 3 am." Yuuka passed the phone back to Murdock.
“Really?” she handed him a roll of gauze. “If you could bandage my thigh, it’d be nice. Then, I can work on my stomach.” Tsuki rolled up her shorts, showing off a deep, bloody wound that exposed some bone.
Murdock smiled softly. "Thank you. But fair warning, I might actually text you at 2 am or something. I have a really weird sleep schedule," he chuckled
(brb for like half an hour)
"You've told me," She smiled, "And if needed to I might barrow some of your energy the next day tho." She gets up from the bench, "Now lets go see what our friends are up to."
"Gross," Andrei commented. "Cool gross. Here, if you could stretch your leg out for me, I could reach it a bit easier." Winding the roll around her thigh, he raised both eyebrows. "What were you even doing?"
“It’s my quirk,” Tsuki explained, “It’s what causes all of the holes and blood.”
"Can you… I dunno, can you turn it off? Not that it doesn't look super rad, but I feel like it would be really unpleasant. And messy. Like, I can never wear my brand new white shirt messy." Andrei glanced up at her with a questioning look in his eyes.
(might head out in a bit because sleep is a thing that happens occasionally)
