Inima fiddled with her collar again. Self destructive quirks, not for her.
"Right." self destructive. Was that what her gift was? Probably. Her mother had loved her quirk, making her do it again and again. Tsuki had never spent a day without bleeding in her childhood.
This girl had no idea, my parents use me as a boxing bag, because the damage could be transferred to the the oak tree in the yard. All the times I was called demon and forced to take the damage, the burns, cuts, and any other stupid thing that plagued my family Yuuka let out a sharp breath and backed away letting the girl take care of her self. She moved over to Ikuko doing her best to contain her anger. She has no idea how hard it is for me to be nice
(wait can Yuuka read minds?)
(also her parents are dead)
(and what's with the oak tree?)
(who was called demon? Tsuki wasn't called a demon)
"Hey, what's wrong?" Fase asked Yuuka and put a hand on her shoulder.
(or is she talking about herself)
(Herself, she just really dislikes it when people refuse help. And after Yuuka lost her original colors her family, (Mostly mom) Started believing she was a demon who killed her child and took her place. Also used that as an excuse to hit and cut Yuuka. She can transfer damage to plants as well and trees can take a lot of damage. That tree save her life more than once.)
"She didn't want my help," Yuuka said through her teeth, "I was only trying to help."
(thanks for clarifying and ouch! sad backstory)
Tsuki wondered what would be on the menu for dinner today. Leftover donuts from the dumpster or week old pizza from the trashcan? Maybe one of the shop owners would take pity on her poor, homeless self.
Inima looked at her, "And that's bad why?"
"Hey, it's ok, some people are just stubborn," Fuse assured.
"I can hear you." Tsuki announced, turning to look at them.
"It's just so…" Yuuka lets out a breath, "it's just… I wanted to help. No one ever lets me help," Everyone sees me the same way, red eyed demon. "I want to prove I'm a good person." She whispered barely audible.
Holy crap, now I've done it. "I am so sorry. I'm just used to being alone. Maybe we can talk about being partners later?" Tsuki put her arm on the girl's shoulder.
Inima looked down at the ground. This was a stupid idea. Me, a hero? Never could work. I should just leave before I do more damage. I'll always be a villain.
(GAH SO MUCH SELF-HATE WHY CAN'T WE JUST BE FLUFFY LITTLE BUNDLES OF ICE)
Yuuka just shifts out from under her touch, "Um, no offense, but that hurt, you touching my back, I have a bad bruise." She whispered, "and it might be best not to touch me until get my emotions back under control. I'd hate to accidentally hurt you."
(Because all super heroes have tragic back story. it's like want to become a superhero. Step 1: have a horrible childhood. Step 2: chose good over bad.)
"Okey-dokey." Tsuki stepped back, taking her arm away.
"I'm sorry if what I said earlier offended you," she wrapped her arms around herself. "I didn't mean to act like you didn't know what you were doing, I just the the mistake a lot, thinking that changing the bandages often would help, but I just kept reopening the wounds."
"If you don't reapply the bandages, your wound could get infected." Tsuki countered, remembering that time she had gotten a wound infected. She hadn't been able to afford going to a doctor's for that, so she'd laid in pain in her makeshift bed, located in an alleyway.
"But not right after original application. removing it would also remove the blood platelets that have been working to close the wound." Yuuka replied with out any real emotion as though she were just reciting a piece of memorized information.
"True, but old habits die hard."
Inima slowly backed away from the group, maybe she should just leave.
(NO)
"Where are you going?" Tsuki asked the girl, head tilted.
(Hey, guys, I'm back! Sorry, sorry)
Andrei looked with some surprise at Murdock's surprise. "Yeah," he answered, "my quirk's electrical. An electrostatic forcefield, to be precise. It doesn't make me stronger or faster, but it's a foolproof shield, so as long as I've got it activated, you can't touch me. Hold on." He closed his eyes for a half-second, and a haze of crackling electricity burst over his entire frame, flickering like cold-toned firelight. "See? It looks rad, I think. I still can't extend it past my own body, yet, though - I'm working on it." He considered, brightening. "Yeah, Murdock, your quirk would work really well with mine, actually. That's pretty rad, man."
Inima was shocked someone noticed her, "i-uh. I don't know."
"Well you shouldn't go somewhere without knowing where, right?" Tsuki smiled at her, "If you want to be a hero, you have to stay and work hard."
"I guess," Inima shrugged. She said quietly to herself, "Can I even be a true hero?"
