Eve, running late this morning, rushed into the cafe at 7:05 am. She made eye contact with Shrewbarry and hurried over to her. "Hi," she greeted, sounding breathless. Her hair was windblown, and while that would be a breaking factor for other women, it only made Eve look wild, alive, and beautiful. The wind had also risen a healthy pink blush to her cheeks.
Watches her, happy to see her again. But already nervous about the barista.
She is wearing a pretty "I slapped this on in two seconds" outfit.
Only Eve didn't go to the counter. She could feel the eyes of other patrons staring at her, but she didn't care. "How were your 'things' yesterday?" she asked.
She glanced up at Eve, slightly panicked, but calms a bit knowing it was Eve. Though the panic was still present.
"It was.. fine??" She eventually said
Eve nodded. "I think I've had an idea. For how to get most people to stop bothering me as much for now."
An exciting look painted Eve's face. "I use my cat. I could tie a key on a ribbon around her neck, and whoever is able to catch her and take the key from her is the one I will be with."
"Ohh, I think I saw your cat last night. She's sweet" Strew says, slowly getting over her small panic.
Eve arched her eyebrows, pretending to act surprised. "You did? That's interesting, I'm not sure how she got out."
(Fjfjfjjjjjjjj I didn't fall asleep until ~7am so sorry for late response)
"I didn't think she was supposed to be out. She didn't seem to used to the place" Strew didn't bring up Bladee.
“Yes, she can be a bit… sneaky sometimes,” Eve remarked, shaking her head slightly. “It’s hard to keep track of her on the days when she feels adventurous.”
"Aww, that's cute."
Strew looked down
"I don't like.. Most thing here, but cats are defiantly something I have a soft spot for.. Can I tell you a stupid secret?"
Eve’s eyes sparkled at the prospect, and she leaned closer curiously. “Of course.”
"Uhm.. It's stupid and I shouldn't have to keep it a secret. But I like to feed alley cats and stuff. I just know if I told someone, there would be so many rumors of me killing cats or something. I just.. like cats I dunno.." She said, embarrassed she even had to say it.
Eve laughed softly. “First off, that isn’t stupid. Second, there’s no reason to not like cats. I love cats. And third, why would I believe you would kill cats?”
"…Fair, I'm sorry I'm really quick to assume things of people.. Especially with a majority of people thinking the same thing" She laughed
"But for one, I must say your cat is so freaking cute!! The collar is super cute to! Is there a reason that she has it?" She questioned, clueless to what was actually going on.
(Sorry my responses are short, I’m away from my computer atm)
Eve nodded. “Yes, that’s part of my game. The key on her collar is a key to my cottage,” she revealed.
(It's alr dw)
"Oh, is that safe?" Strew questioned concerned.
Eve smiled. “It is, I guarantee it. No one could catch her if they tried to.”
"Huh, I mean she did jut walk up to me.." Strew tilted her head
"But did you catch her?" Eve asked, tilting her head to the side, her eyes sparkling.
"I mean, no. Not really. I didn't want to. I don't really.. Pick up cats" Strew responded, still quite confused about the whole ordeal.
Eve chuckled. "Exactly. If she knew you were trying to catch her, she wouldn't have just walked up to you. It's odd. She has a sort of… sense about people."
"Don't all cats?? They're so interesting.." She said, "Oh, I never got my drink actually, hold on, if this barista starts stuff I swear to god"
She walked up to him and ordered her thing.
When Strew got up and was out of earshot, Eve smirked and muttered to herself. "No, only certain ones." She glanced over her shoulder and saw a booth with four men sitting in it, all of them watching her. She quickly looked away, and her fingers trembled a bit. She hated the attention, and now it was time to draw it off her human form.
Strew got her drink and leaned against a wall for a moment, thinking. She eventually just threw the drink away, she didn't wanna waste, but it was better then confronting the wuss barista.
When Strew returned, Eve quirked an eyebrow at her. "What was that?"
"It was really nothing. Something I do a lot. When I'm unsure of myself, I always just do what I'm used to doing, like ordering something, then realize 'wait i dont want this', and I'd rather not speak to anyone who thinks of me as a monster right now" She admitted, barely thinking about the pure amount of information she was sharing.
Eve's expression softened. "Well, I don't think of you as a monster. I never have."
"Never? Not even your first thought?" Strew didn't believe that for a second.
