"Okay okay, here me out alright." He leaned forward while turning the car. "You know how a bunch of birds was stolen by the government. Especially pigeons. That's why they don't wable when they walk. What if they're not robots but like people turned into pigeons. Have you ever thought about that? It's possible too. I mean you can shapeshift, I can shapeshift, a lot of other people can shapeshift. Come on, it's pretty convincing. Just look at the signs you know?" Connor leaned back in the chair switching his gaze from the road to Jas. "I think I make a very compelling argument. Wait you ate birds before? Like you hunted and then ate the bird you shot out of the sky?" Connor imagined Jas shooting birds down with a hunting rifle or a bow and arrow. Then he quickly erased his thoughts when he found he was clutching Jas's leg a bit too hard. Not because he thought it was bad, but because of another reason.

He made the contact and passed Suni's phone back to him. "I sent you a text saying it's me. I'll make sure to keep that in mind. Is Sasha your friend or sibling?" He asked opening the door for Suni. "She sounds like quite the bundle of joy." He adjusted the cuffs of his coat and prepares his hand for the cold winds. Even though it was summer he still found the winds at night to be chilling. Damion always got cold easily. Whether he was just coming out of the pool or a rainstorm on a sunny day. He always had some type of layer on.

Jas stared at Connor with a look of complete disbelief on his face as he listened to his beloved about his conspiracy. "Sweetest of creatures, the love of my lives, and my heart and soul, know that I would never judge you for your beliefs. But this a bit ridiculous." He tried his best not to laugh. "While I can admit, I do see, somewhat, your view, I don't think the government took bird to disguise them as people or vice versa. I can't tell you where people like us come from though, it's just been something we've known since forever I guess." He thought for a few more moments before shrugging and tilting his head towards the wind coming in through the window, breathing in the fresh smell if the tropics. "I did indeed, though not the way you're describing." He glancing down at his leg and at Connor's hand with a slight arch if an eyebrow. "I hunted as a cat in many of my lives, mostly for survival until I could find a safe home and meal."

Suni smiled and immediately made Damion into a contact into his phone, naming the contact. "Damion the cute guy I like"
"Sasha is our sister. Oldest one out of the three siblings." He explained with a proud smile as he walked through the door. "Oh she is, but she has dad's reckless that makes her all the more loveable. I got more of mom and Jas is a combination of both. The three of us are a rag tag group of mischief maker sibkings but I wouldn't want it any other way. I love them all."

"It makes perfect sense. Pigeons are watching our every move. I'm being serious with you." Although his words sounded like he was being serious, his giggles and laughs in between words didn't make it very convincing. "One hundred percent facts, truthful statements I'm making here, okay?" He stopped at the red light and gasped. "Aww, that's so cute! I can imagine your little paws and everything. Even if you were a big cat that's still cute, I would be able to hug you, lay on you, and snuggle with you. Even though I would probably have cat hair everywhere I know, that doesn't matter! I wish I could've seen you then." He leaned over the center consul and kissed Jas on the lips. It was quick because the light turned green shortly after.

His apartment building was easy to leave. He followed Suni so he would know which ways to turn. It was a good thing that Suni lived in the direction of where he wanted to go. He listened to Suni talk about his sister and his other siblings. "Your family sound fun. I hope I can meet them at some point in time. Not any time soon, of course, but you know…" He trailed off, clutching the hand warmer in his pocket. "Are you okay being in the cold? Do you want my jacket, or we could always stop at a cafe for a bit and then continue walking? Of course, it's just a suggestion if you need it. I don't want your family worrying about you because you came home later than usual.

Jas just shook his head with an amused smile plastered on his face. "Very well, I believe that you believe there are bird people made by the goverent sent here to watch over us. That's not to say what you believe is right though." He shrugged shyly, "I still do hunt from time to time. My form hasn't really changed for lives now so you're not missing out on much." He pecked Connor on the lips sweetly, a laugh bubbling up. It felt nice, really nice to talk nonsense with Connor. "You're more than welcome to cuddle with me, human or cat form, anytime you wish, dear."

Suni blushed but nodded. "Yeah, I'm sure they'd love to meet you. And I'd love for you to meet them. Has Connor told you about them after Jas took him to meet them?" He asked curiously, leaning against Damion for warmth. "I'm okay, still warmth from the shower." He reassured, shaking his head. "Keep the jacket, you seem to need more athan me." He chuckled lightly and tilted his head curiously. "Is this our attempt to prolong out date?" He asked, looping his arm with Damion's.

"It's definitely possible, though." He thoughts for a moment. "Well, if you have a big firm that's way bigger than me, it would be so warm, and your heartbeat would be so loud. It would feel amazing. Of course, you probably can't do that." He noticed the sign they passed and got off the exit of the highway they were on. "Here we are." He leaned forward and put to hands on the wheel. He had to drive slow even though there were no signs there were always kids playing soccer and tackling each other. After all, he used to be one of those kids. He continued to drive through the same down that had dirt roads.
There wasn't enough money to have actual concrete roads, so they had dirt ones instead. "We're going to have a buy a change of clothes and towels, so let's go to the store first. I should've brought them with us, but this was a short-term decision." He parked next to the shop and kissed Jas on the lips before leaving the car. "I'll be back in just a second," Connor spoke to the cashier in Spanish as he pointed to towels and some other clothes. He gave a half bow and waved, jogging out of the shop. "Alright, alright, I got the stuff, now we can go to the place. You probably already know what it is. It's not fancy like the one at the hotel, but it was special to me as a kid, so here we are." Connor hopped back into the jeep and started the car.

"That sounds wonderful." He grinned and looked ahead. The place where he wanted to go was coming up soon. He smiled when Suni linked their arms together. He looked in the other direction slowly. "What…I don't know what you're talking about….tch I would never…mmm yeah, I was, but hey, the more important this is that you're warm. They had walked closer and looked dark, so the surprise wasn't up just yet. He turned towards Suni taking his hands. He turned him away from the surprise and "Okay, okay, we're here, but I have to cover your eyes. Is that okay?" He didn't want just suddenly to block his eyesight.

"I'll be sure to let you know first if I ever become a giant cuddoy cat." He laughed, flicking his gaze towards the sign. He tilted his head curiously as he rolled up the windows to keep the dust from getting into the car. "You grew up around here?" He asked softly, nodding when Connor said they'd stop by the store for a moment. He kissed Connor sweetly before looking up at the small store front. It felt nice, to know that Connor grew up here, clearly happy despite what he had mentioned about his family. He stared up att he sky and watched as children ran by with a ball, some pausing by the jeep to stare at him and his ears in awe. He turned when Connor came back and went to point out the kids to him but they had already ran off giggling and tossing the ball between them. "It's more lively around here, I like it." He decided, peeking at what Connor had bought. "I'm assuming another beach? I don't mind if it's fancy or not. If it's something that's important to you then that's all that matters."

Suni laughed when Damion started to ramble and stutter. "It's alright," he reassured "I don't want it to end either." He rested his head against Damion's shoulder for a moment. "I'm warm, probably more than you right now." He looked up a bit startled before he realized what Damion was doing. He cocked his head slightly, scanning the area a bit. He didn't like being alone in the dark, not after far too many close calls with dangerous people. But he trusted Damion. Or at least he really wanted to. Shoving down the instinct to turn and run, he nodded slowly. "Y-yeah. It's okay." He sucked in a deep breath and closed his eyes just so he wouldn't be at risk for ruining the surprise himself

"Yes, I did grow up here. It's small and not that rich, but it's felt more like home than any family I've been a part of." He hummed, giving a questionable look to Jas. "Well, it's not exactly a beach perse." He smirked and pulled into a more green part of the little town. Trees and very healthy grass filled this part. He drove for a little longer before parking. It wasn't parking because the road wasn't a road. He got out of the car and tucked the key into his bag. "Alright, ready?" He moved to the other side of the jeep where Jas was sitting. "We just have to walk a bit more before reaching the place."

"Okay…don't be scared. I'm not going to hurt you or anything like that." He places his hands over Suni's eyes. He walked Suni forward, and the light winds stopped. He took his hand off Suni's eyes, but it was still dark around them. There was water running next to them, and the breeze from outside shook the leaves on the vines surrounding them. I know it might be a little hard to see me, but I'm right here." Damion held Suni's hands gently. "They should be coming on in 3, 2, 1." Just like that, the lights came on, and the fountain they were standing next to started to create a beautiful shape as it poured from layer to layer. The yellow fairy lights shined on the many different types of flowers. The space was more open than it felt. The moon and starlight reflected in the fountain's water gave it the sparkle needed. There was much more to this city garden, but this is what Damion wanted to show Suni right now. "I know it might be small and insignificant, but I always thought surprising someone like this would be nice. Not many people get to see this place. It's not one of the main gardens in the city, but it should be. So what do you think?"

Jas' eyes softly slightly in sadness when Connor mentioned not feeling as if he had a family in any of his past lives. "Well I'm glad in this life you found someplace to call home." He gently laced their hands together and pressed a soft kiss to the back of Connor's before letting him for drive. He watched out his window as the small villages merged into forest and fields of wild grasses, the sweet smell of a recent rain filling his senses. He glanced over when they finally parked and tilted his head curiously but said nothing as he got out of the car."I'm ready." He replied, taking Connor's hand and looking at him. "You're enjoying this, aren't you sweetheart?" He teased, pressing a kiss to the corner of Connor's mouth.

"I'm not sca-" despite his protest, suni still stiffened slightly when Damion's hands cover his eyes. he willed his legs to move forwards, ears always flicking about to catch any sound that might be a threat. Instead of sensing another person, suni soon heard the soft trickle of water. He chewed his lip nervously when he felt Damion's hand fall away, thinking for a moment he had left before he felt his warm hand in his. Suni gently squeezed back before slowly opening his eyes. "Oh…" He breathed, slowly taking in the his surounding, the beautiful park, the spring fountain now illuminated by twinkling lightly. He knew the heavens were real, after all that's where his mother temporarily resided, but he honestly couldn't think of anything more beautiful than this. This is gorgeous," he finally managed out after a few moments of stunned silence, a delerious, joyfilled laugh escaping him. "how did you find a place like this?" He asked, tearing his attention away from the fountain to look at Damion.

"Yes, I am enjoying this very much." He leaned against the car and pulled Jas close to him by his collar. "You cannot just kiss the corner of my mouth and walk away like that. Not fair; I won't tolerate it." His hand slid around Jas's neck. Connor was feeling bold today, maybe because he was in his hometown. Either way, he vowed he would never be this bold again. It was way too embarrassing for him. "Besides, we have all the time in the world….sort of." He laughed and pressed his forehead to Jas's. Connor smirked and kissed the lips he missed so much back at the hotel. He held the body of the person he longed for the most. He felt so warm; letting go didn't seem like an option.

"Funny story, I was running from one of Connor's villains. They knew that I was close to him, and they tried to chase me, so I turned down an alleyway and found this place. It was dark for a while because it was daytime, and honestly, this place was such a maze. I couldn't tell where I was going until the lights turned on, and I almost fell into the fountain. I promised myself that one day I would bring someone here. I wanted to share this place with someone else. The owner who takes care of this place is also lovely. He's old, but he said I could look after the garden since I often come here. Either way, it was still a lucky find. I'm glad you like it. Honestly, it was a bit nerve-wracking bringing you here. I felt like you would think it's lame, or maybe you weren't a plant person. You know? I wanted it to be good enough. Is it good enough?" He chewed on his lower lip to touch one of the flowers next to him to distract his sightline.

Jas arched an eyebrow and grinned. "I'm glad." He murmured, one hand braced against the side of the car next to Connor's head while the other restes at his waist. His smirk only grew to pure amusement as Connor pulled him in. "And exactly what are you going to do about if I continue being intolerable?" He purred, voice dropped down to a low whisper as leaned in. His lips brushed over Connor's features, teasing and taunting until he met his lips in passionate and tender kiss. He broke away momentarily to breath "no 'Sort ofs.' we'll have eternity together. Whether that is one more life or many more lives together." He smiled adoringly at Connor and crushed their lips together in bruising kiss before pulling Connor completely away from the car into his embrace, the hand against the car now tangling into Connor's hair, desperate to have the one he loved so dearly close to him and nowhere else.

Suni's eyes widened slightly in horror. He knew some people that'd be willing to go after anyone with close to their target just to instill fear and encourage compliance in exchange for the person's safety. He knew them, but he didn't agree with the tactic. "I'm glad your safe." He said, truely relieved that nothing happened to Damion. He hugged a small laugh, trying his best relieve tention in his chest that had built up. Suni brushed his thumb against Damion's hand and gently squeezed it. "And I love the fountain. It's truely beautiful. It's more than enough." He smiled and rested his head against Damion's shoulder.

Connor could barely get a squeak out before his lips became preoccupied. He felt the same feeling back at the hotel—the underlying desire to stay like this forever and let Jas consume him. That feeling was the most satisfying thing in the world to him. The way Jas's finger delicately moved up the arch of his back. The way a particular kiss would trigger the turn of a head. All these sensations combined into one was like a dream he could never reach, but he did, and it felt amazing. He pulls away from Jas, catching his lips in a small kiss before pulling away. He breathed a laugh, chewing on his lip. He felt like speaking now would ruin everything, but the interaction was needed to continue their time together. "Well…" Connor neatly patted down Jas's shirt while clearing his throat. "When I get home tonight, I hope you are still awake so we can do that again. Also, the way you look at me is cute."

He squeaked when Suni rested his head. Damion didn't want to worry Suni by saying that sort of that thing happened all of the time, so he kept quiet for now."You do not know just how happy it makes me feel to hear those words." He places his chin on top of Suni's head. He started to sway them both back in forth to a song playing in his head. "If you ever want to see me and you don't have your phone, you can come here. I'll be watering the plants and taking care of them every day. So, if you're ever not sure where I am, primarily, I'm here or at work. You can come to my job as long as you don't have a criminal record; otherwise, that is a whole other story." He sighed. Damion held Suni's waist; the urge to tickle him was strong, but he left it alone. For now.

Jas chuckled softly, gently pulling back when Connor broke away. He lightly brushed his thumb along Connor's rosy cheeks. "Is that your way of complimenting me?" Jas teased lightly, lacing their hands together as he started to walk." I swear to you my love, I'll be at the hotel when you return. Especially if you promise something as tempting as that." He grinned and pressed kiss to Connor's hand and wrist. "I must say my heart, seeing you at a loss for words after such a fiery kiss is extremely amusing."

Suni nuzzled into Damion's shoulder, a soft huff leaving his lips. "Good to know, thank you. It'll definitely give me more insentive to come back, nor that the place alone isn't enough but if you're here then I can find an excise to stay longer." He chuckled lightly "I may not be in the institute's good graces. I haven't done anything, at least not that they can prove but I did help get Jas out of the cell earlier than they all wanted. I doubt the institute is very fond of me." He shrugged slightly and gave into Damion's embrace, heart thudding against his chest. "We're not great but I don't think we deserve that much hatred."

"I am fully capable of forming sentences, and I don't know what to say. After something like that…enough of that, it's time for the surprise." He hummed and tugged Connor deeper into the woods. "Well, so what if that is my way of complimenting you. I like the way you look at me. So full of love and passion that my eyes don't give nearly enough the validation you deserve. It makes me feel loved even without telling me you love me." He giggled. "Well, what can I say? I'm a tempting human being." He moved passed the dangling leaves to see a lake with a rope hanging from a tree. "I told you it's not a beach or something. Much more natural than that. "Come on; we got some swinging to do!"

"They might not like you, but they can't stop you from entering because you defended in court. If that were the case, then I guess every lawyer that stepped foot into hat building is now under suspicion." He was joking. No lawyer had been arrested for helping a villain. It wasn't how they did things. "Well then, as long as you're clear, you should be able to walk in. It's open to the public, and no one goes there. So if you ever want to see me in action, you know where to find me now, in two places." Damion was so close to kissing Suni. He wanted to, ever since he saw him. However, Damion shouldn't do something like that on a first date. Who kisses a guy they just met? That wasn't the way Damion wanted to do things.

“Thats all I could hope for, dear. That I don’t have to say that I love for you to understand that my heart is yours.” Jas ducked under the low-hanging branches and grinned. “You are very tempting.” He agreed, gasping softly when they came upon the lake. Its water crystal clear, so much so, you could nearly see the rocks at the bottom. Jas gazed out at the horizon, sun high in the sky, making the water sparkle. A cooling breeze swept over him from the water’s shore. “This is beautiful my love.” He glanced over at Connor and laughed softly. “Ah so that’s what the extra clothes were for.“ He stepped up to the water’s edge and bent down, dipping his hand into the cool water and shivering in delight. May he was a water loving cat after all.

“”That is very true,” Suni agreed though was still unconvinced. He laughed softly and glanced up at Damion, now highly aware of how close they were. “Yeah but I’m pretty sure not every lawyer can say that they’ve successfully gotten their client out.” He looked away towards the fountain, letting his head drop back down to rest on Damion’s chest. “In action huh? Who knows, I might take you up on the offer.” He mused, taking a deep breath before reluctantly pulling away but he still kept their hands intertwined together. “It’s getting late. I would hate for you to get caught out here alone. We should be heading back.” He said, taking one more longing look at the gardens before taking the lead and tugging Damion into a walk back to his home. “I’ll definitely be coming back here. It’s beautiful. Thank you for showing me.”

"I know you said beaches were not the best experience for you, so I thought this would be a nice change. It's not vast, but it has the same sense of natural water rather than chlorine. This water is technically drinkable, and I know the townspeople keep it clean not only for the animals but also for the kids who come here and play. So, I hope you're up for it. Otherwise, you're going to be pretty sad there watching me swim." He shrugged and began to take off his shirt, followed by his shoes and pants. Connor dipped his feet in the water, causing him to shiver slightly. "The contrast between warm and cold is far too much."

"Ah, you're right. Come on, let's get you home. Don't mention it. I'm just glad you enjoyed it as much as I did." Damion walked SUni home even up to his front door and paused. "Well, I think this is your stop." He stuck his hands into his pocket. Damion pursed his lips together and held his shoulders close to each other. "I'll be alright on my way home. Even if I do get lost, I'll have my phone. I should leave you to go to your family now. I'll see you again sometime?" He chewed his lip, picking at it with his teeth.

"I don't know, I'm pretty happy watching you right now and neither us are in the water." Jas replied, unabashadly watching as Connor pull of his shirt. He purred a laugh before doing the same and turning towards the water. "This was your idea, sweetheart." Jas reminded, taking a few steps back, shifted into a cat, and started bounding towards the water, a yowl of surprise came from him when he was met with the cold water. Jas dove under water, shifted back to normal and broke the surface with an exhilerated laugh. "Come on love, the water is great!"

Suni walked happily with Damion, glad that no one seemed to be out on the streets tonight. He hadn't expected the walk to seem so short but it did. He almost wished it was longer so he could spend more time with Damion instead of now needing to face his whole family. "You're sure? I can always call some to drive you back if you're not comfortable walking alone. Dad will probably be more than happy to drive you home." Suni's ears flicked up when he heard the jungling of car keys inside the house. If noring that he sighed softly and gently squeezed Damion's hand. "Let me know if you change your mind." He smiled shyly but nodded. "Yeah I think you will. I look forwarss to our next date. Let me know if you ever want to hang or anything. You have my number." He hesitated only for a moment before reaching up and pressing a kiss to Damion's cheek. "Have a good night, Damion." He said with a smile, digging out his keys and opening the door to his cizy home, almost immediately met with grins of excitement and a million questions from his family.

Connor looked away, covering his mouth. Who can look amazing in water but never like to go in it. His smile makes it even harder to look. Connor cleared his throat before sauntering into the water. "I know, I'm coming, just…give me a minute. It's cold." He gritted his teeth behind his toothless smile. However, even though he was walking very carefully into the lake, he tripped on a rock and soon splashed into the lake. He came up to the surface, smoothing his back, so it wasn't in his face. "You didn't see that, okay. I was so graceful going into the water. Just erase that from your mind." He laughed, holding onto Jas's shoulders.

"Awesome." He walked back down the stairs, giving Suni and his family a small gift. He put in his headphones and made his way back home. The music he was listening to was quite said, which didn't fit his mood, but it made him happy to hear soft voices. Damion smiled, thinking about their night together, looking up at the stars for some guidance on what he should do next. "I guess I could call or text him tomorrow." Once he was out of sight, he began to skip down the streets, humming to the music he was listening to. He even started playing the notes on his imaginary violin. He knew the letters, having learned them and sounding beautiful on such a fine instrument. Just like that, their date was over.

Jas laughed softly, shaking the water from his hair and ears. He welcomed the cold water, despite his adversion to being submerged, he still enjoyed swimming on occasion.
"Just like a cologn model at the beach." Jas agreed with a grin, wrapping an arm around Connor's waist and hooking his legs around his waist so he'd struggle less in the water. He waded around in the water for a bit, watching as the water flowed and rippled around them both. "This really is beautiful,"

It took suni nearly two hours to finally get away from his father and sister's interrogation about his date with Damion. He flopped onto his bed, barely having the energy to do much else. He pulled out his phone when he realized he still had Damion's jacket on. He pulled it off and balled it up into a pillow before flopping back down onto the bed and taking a quick picture and sending it to Damion with the text underneath reading "Still have your jacket, looks like our next date will be sooner than I thought. Have a good night and thanks again." He bit his lip before sending a heart right after and then promptly tossing his phone to the side. He shifted and snuggled into the jacket, his smaller frame barely visible in the puffy jacket

Connor chuckled, flinching when Jas touched his bare waist. "I'm glad you think so. If you didn't, then I would've been unfortunate." Connor pushed his fingers into Jas's wet hair. "It's a shame you don't like water. You look….very amazing. It makes me sad that I don't shower with you." He grins, thinking about splashing Jas in the face with water. For now, he refrained from it since they were having a conversation. He figured it was rude, so he would do it after Jas finished his sentence. Connor laid his head on Jas's shoulder. His shoulder started shivering because that was the only thing above the water.

Damion checked his phone partially because his music turned down when he got the notification but also because he had to do something else on his phone. He figured it must have been Connor, so he prepared himself to explain the date. However, the notification read Suni's name with the heart emoji that Suni put next to it. He frantically opened the text as a warm smile spread across his lips. He was shocked to see a heart soon appear on his screen. It was big and red. He never thought he would say that he liked those two words in the same sentence. I guess so; I can't wait! he replied with his heart emoji and grinned as he struggled to find which key to open his apartment Like he did every time he needed to get into something. He had so many keys for his job he had trouble finding which one was for his front door. However, once he finally got it, he hit the sheets and fell asleep within two seconds of laying down.

Jas lightened his hold a bit, hoping he hadn't bothered Connor's scar too much. He purred proudly as he leaned his head into Connor's hands. "It's not that don't like it. I'm just not fond of being fully submerged. But you're more than welcome to join after today, if you'd like if you'd like." He waded around a bit in the water, tilting his head with a smile of his own. "What that grin for, dear? I've know you long enough to recognize that particular smile never means anything good." He teased, slowly moving towards the deeper end of the lake. He pressed a kiss to Connor's head. "Thank you, for bringing me here. Both to lobepyntown you grew up in and the lake. I love both."

Suni snickered happily when he heard the ping of a message from his phone. He managed to read the message but decided to answer in the morning when he had apposable thumbs and wasn't so exhausted. In the morning, Sunibwas woken up by the smell of cinnamon and chocolate. For a moment, Suni thought back to his and Damion's date. He lifted his head and yawned widly, showing canines. "I've never seen you so adorably in love. This one's here to stay huh?." Sasha teased, ruffling her brother's hair and settling beside him. Suni shifted and tugged on the jacket, gladly excepting the mug of chocolate and taking a sip. "I hope he is," suni replied, swatting playfully at her.
Sasha nodded slightly and laybed down. "Following your sibling's footsteps huh? So strong and indepemt yet the moment you fall in love, you're all soft and cuddly?"
Suni laughed and lied beside her. "Yeah, I guess so."

"I'm glad you like it." He took floated away from Jas and acted innocent. "I like that you like it, but you know what's even more fun?" He sent a wave toward Jas using his strength thanks to his powers. It seemed like only a tiny splash to him, but it was much bigger than he intended in reality. He couldn't help but laugh, keeping his sleep floating in the water by kicking his legs. "I'm sorry, I have been thinking about it since we arrived here. Your face, I can't!" He covered his stomach, trying his best to silence his laughing. "I would say I'm sorry, but honestly, I'm not."

Jas tilted his head in silent question but let Connor go, taking to swimimg about a bit. He looked up and barely had time to shift and duck underneath the water so as to not take the full impact of the water but that still didn't prevent jas being tubled about under water and drinking in the water. . After a few seconds he emerged in human form, coughing and drenched. He pushed his hair from his face and gulped in breath. "Please don't ever do that again," he managed out, wading to the shallower end of the water to catch his breath. He blinked the water from his eyes and headed back towards the shore to calm his heartbeat. A whisper of a smile ghosted his features when he heard Connor laughing, knowing he was having a good time and also knowing he meant well but was couldn't find it innhumseof to laugh along, not when he had re-experienced something so close one if his deaths in past lives. He sat by the edge of the water, letting it lap at his feet while he rested

Connor laughed to himself and swam over to the shallow end. "Are you alright? I didn't mean to scare you." He rubbed Jas's back, hoping he didn't do something wrong. "I didn't think it would be that. Just when I get excited, I forget I have powers. You know." He sat down next to Jas and leaned on his shoulder. "Hey, talk to me. What happened that made you fear vast spaces of water hm? I feel like you would've splashed me back with the same amount of force otherwise. " He kissed Jas's jaw, holding him close. "Do you want me to get the towel and warm you up a bit?"

Jas purred weakly and nuzzled Connor's cheek. "I'm alright, heart." He murmured, shaking his head and gentoy tugging Connor close to side. "It's not the water that scares me." He started slowly, gazing out onto the lake. "It's being trapped underneath it, without a way out that scares me." His lips twitched into a frown, his haze growing distant. A few lives ago, I died by drowning. It was the youngest death I'd had. Some kids from a school I was attending thought it funny to see if a cat could actually swim." He shrugged slightly and have a bitter laugh. "I guess they found out real quick cats can't swim if they tied up." He sucked in a breath and glamced back towards Connor. "That's why I don't like being in water too much, but I figured this be alright since it's not like the beach with it's waves." He offered a small smile and pressed his lips to Connor's brow. "But someone seems to want to prove me wrong." Jas teased. "But I know you meant well, dear. And you're right, the face I probably made was funny." He pulled Connor into his lap and peppered him in kisses. "Next time you want to spash me with water, maybe remember you have powers and try not to drown me, okay?"

Connor felt bad for splashing him the way he did. He was deep in his thoughts about what he should say. He felt responsible for bringing Jas back to such an unhappy memory. However, he was cut off by Jas's pecks, which tickled his skin. "Okay, okay, I promise." He manages to laugh out his words. "But," He captured Jas's face in his hands. "I'm sorry that I made you remember something and make you feel that way. I know you said that it's okay, but it's really not, and I just want you to know that I'm sorry. You better appreciate me saying that because I bet you can't even remember when the last time I said sorry in front of you. All that aside, you're hot, and I love you." He flicked water in Jas's face, giving him a warm smile. "God, I would kiss you if your mouth didn't taste like lake water."

Jas continued his rumbly little pur as Connor took his face in his hands. "I very much appreciate your apology love, even if it really isn't necessary. I know you wouldn't harm me. At least I hope." he laughed softly and pressed a kiss to Connor's hands. "and you're beautiful, and I adore you." He replied, meowing softly when he was sprinkled with more water. "Oh please, that won't stop you or me from kissing. Consider it a small consequence for plunging me into the water before. He tugged Connor close and pressed a kiss to Connor's mouth, slightly adjusting his hd before deepening it.

"You wouldn't-" Jas's lips cut him off. Connor pushed his hands against his chest, trying to pull Jas away. However, the kiss seems to have made him weak. Even though he did taste like lake water. Connor wrapped his hand around Jas like a panda on bamboo. Despite the taste, he still loves how Jas fits perfectly with him. How did it take him an eternity to realize it? His eyes shut completely as his whole body relaxed into his cold touch. Being out of the water with no sun for this long is making him a bit chilly. Connor pulled away to catch his breath. "You are so lucky that I love you." He shook his head, resting it in the crook of Jas's neck.

"yes, I am." Jas said, once he pulled away, hugging in a breath but with a pleased smile on his lips. He hugged Connor close, reaching behind him for the towel Connor had bought, and wrapped the both around Connor's body. He pressed a kiss to Connor's temple and hair, gazing out onto the lake as the sun began to set. "It's time to go, love." He murmured softly, kissing Connor's brow once more before scooping him up, gathering their clothes, and heading back to the car. He put Connor in the passenger side and climbed into the driver's side beside him, reluctantly putting in the address to the hotel before pulling out back onto the dirt roads

"I can drive, you know." He dried himself with the towel and pulled on the change of clothes. He yawned as he started to dry his hair with the towel. It went from slick back to frizzy within a matter of minutes. He looked at his watch and realized he might be late if they didn't arrive on time. It's not a good image to be late to a mission. "Nevermind, you can drive." Connor leaned his head on Jas's shoulder as he drove. Every time he went swimming, he was always a little tired afterward. Of course, he then had to shower and go on a mission, and only then could he lay down. "Now, I don't want to go on this mission. I'd rather fall asleep with you instead."
