Suni licked his muzzle as he sat up and gazed over at Kyro. He tilted his russet head, wondering how he'd teach a wolf to shift when, usually, a kitsune would be able to shift naturally at very young age. He shifted, about to reply when Kyro asked a completely different question, one he wasn't prepared for. He closed his mouth and glanced away shyly. "I've never been in love. It's a different thing for kitsune than it is for mortal creatures. Once we find someone, if we do, it's a love that'll last forever. If the partner of the kitsune cheats or falls in love with another, the kitsune could die of heart break." He explained softly gaze flickering up to Kyro's. "Why do you ask?"
" I.. it's the same for wolves..just we pair for life. And not knowing who my father is I'll never know how long I actually have… " he said. He could feel the heat in his cheeks. Kyro rubbed at his scar, trying to find the best answer for Suni. " I.. fuck me.. how to say this.." he sighed and looked to suni "I asked b..becausee I think.. I think your really sweet.. and I can't get enough of being close.." he rambled on
Suni blushed as he slowly settled beside Kyro. "You're sure this isn't because if this?" He asked softly, pointing to Kyto's wound. There was no tease or dismissal in his voice. Suni knew all to well just how fragile his heart could be. Just one wrong decision, no matter how his heart fluttered and how many beautiful futures he could imagine, if he wasn't giving his heart to another understanding kitsune, Suni knew he'd die within a few years. "Give me time." He murmured softly, gently resting his head against Kyro's arm. "Let me get my clan to safety, make sure your clan doesn't come after us again. Let me talk yoy sister and make sure you can stay. Then we can try whatever this is."
Kyro nodded " I'm okay with that." He said softly and wrapped his arm around suni. He scratched behind sunis ears softly. " We could probably start heading back. I doubt they'll come after me now that they've disowned me. " He said softly
Suni hesitantly nuzzled into Kyro's side, letting himself relax into his warmth. "You have anew home. If you so choose. My sister is strict but I'm sure I can convince her to make an acception for you." He tilted his head into Kyro's hand. "Yeah, let's go back." He gently pressed a kiss to kyro's cheek before standing
Kyro flustered a bit " I'm sure we could try and convince her" he said with a chuckle. He stood up and followed behind Suni.
"Saskia is the stubborn type. She doesn't bend easily, even to my charms." He laughed softly and shook his head "she's tough but fair. If she thinks you can help the clan and keep them safe then she'll probably let you stay."
Kyro nodded. " So, just asking, is there any way where I can hold you again tonight. It was nice, holding you like that." He said softly and smiled warmly " I promise we can wake up early so the clan doesn't see," he continues
Suni grinned as he glanced over his shoulder "I wouldn't mind that at. It was really nice yesterday." He replied. "You think I care if my clan sees their leader sleeping with someone? I'll deal with them if anyone has a problem with it."
" sounds good to me. " He said with a chuckle. After the walk back. Kryo sat by the tree, still avoiding the medic. While he'd always be thankful for them, but kyro never really enjoyed being treated like he was dying. Even If he was.
Sunil broke away from kyro once they got back to the clan. He checked on a few on the clan members that had concerned him before. He also sent his healer Sasha over to Kyro to finally properly see to his wound.
"So you're the wolf pup who took a bullet for Suni." She greeted, walking over to kyro with her medical kit and kneeling down in front of him
Kyro gave a soft growl, knowing exactly who had sent the healer " I swear to the fox looking gods.." he mumbled as he held his arm out. He whined when ever the healer touched it, " lemme guess suni sent ya over? And I'm fine.." he said " and don't call me pup. It's fine when your a child but it's insulting to an adult "
"I'd be careful with what you swear to our ancestors, pup." Sasha murmured, trying her best to gentle as she pulled off the wrappings and cleaning the wound. "He's the resilient type. Won't stop until everyone is taken care of even if it means putting himself last." She breathed a laugh and added stronger antibiotics before wrapping his upper shoulder with medical gauze. "Take care of our fox."
" I will " he said with a faint blush. Kyro sighed as she left. Once Suni came back he swore he'd wrap him in his arms and squeeze him. Payback for bringing the medic over. Kyro looked around for the other, feeling the need to have some kind of comfort
Sasha gave a small smile and gently patted the Kyro's arm. "On behalf of the clan, thank you. For both saving our dear Suni and for caring for him like no one else had." She stood and nodded her head. "I'll let him know you're alright." She promised, shifting and trotting off to find Suni
Kyro nodded and relaxed against his tree. He kept thinking of himself shifting uno a wolf. " Com'on!" He mumbled to himself. Everything at the camp was distracting him from completely focusing
"Something wrong?" Suni asked, having immediately gone over once Sasha has gotten him from where he was checking in on Harrow and Kona. "Sasha told me you doing well." He said, gently touching Kyro's arm.
Kyro jumped a bit, shook out of his thought " oh! Sorry no I'm fine.." he said softy and pulled Suni down to be in his arms " I'm cuddling you a little early. Sorry not sorry. You sicked your medic on me and now you pay." He said softly. He made the same satisfied groan as most dogs and wolves did when they were happy or relaxed
Suni released a sigh before yelping out in surprise as Kyro yanked him close. "Did you expect me not to? I'm a lot of things but professional medic is not one of them dear. Besides, I wasn't risking a wound that serious to be left unchecked." He pouted softly, making sure not to put so much of his weight on Kyro's injured arm. He sighed with a content smile and settled against his form.
Kyro sighed " you care a lot about me and Im grateful. Thanks " he said and nuzzled Suni. " Your so easy to talk to.." he said and smiled
"you're welcome." He hummed, huffing and ebarrased sigh as he closed his eyes momentarily. "As discussed you're comfortable to be around. I don't always have to be kitsune leader around you." He mumbled, slowly letting himself relax against Kyro until he was curled up
" comfortable?" He asked softly. He didn't think nothing of the clan until he looked around, the same small fox that had argued against kyros stay had seemed to be glaring at the two now "…?" Kyro tilted his head.
Suni's eyes fluttered open,"mhm, you're warm." He mumbled, glancing up at kyro, then following his gaze to the young fix from before. He bared his teeth in wanting before turning on his side, back facing them.
Kyro sight happily, kissing sunis cheek softly. " And protective.." he said nuzzling into the others crook of his neck. Kyro reached for his blanket and wrapped his around them, " your so fluffy as well.."
Sunil blushed and burried his nose onto Kyro's hair. "Of course I'm protective." He muttered, blushing even more when Kyro tugged him close. He gave an involuntary whine as he snuggled close to Kyro, reveling in their shared warmth.
Kyro smiled " how bout a nap and then you can get back to your leadership. I wanna spend some time with you before you get too busy." He said softly
"hm, that sounds great right now." He mumbled, shifting into a fox nudging into Kyro's embrace. He trilled softly as he plopped his head down and slowly closed his eyes, letting the noise from the rest of the clan fade away
Kyro rubbed sunis back until he drifted to sleep. He felt the others breathing on his chest and he loved it, though kyro also never though he'd find someone
Suni fell into a realxing sleep after a while, head resting on Kyro's shoulder and paws against his chest, feeling the wolf's heartbeat and breathing beneath his pads. While he had never needed the warmth of another, considering he had his own flame to keep him and others warm, he hadn't known how much he had wanted another's comforting warmth and presence by his side until now.
Kyro had always longed for this kinda closeness. He loved any affection. And this was no different. Kyro nuzzled suni softly and kept himself wrapped around the other protectively as the sun fell.
