Avrey sat up, quickly putting on some clothes and walking to the door. “Shit…”

Max smirked. “I was just wondering if you whores could keep it down in here. Some people are trying to study.”

Kenji's face flushed, " sure.." he said shakely

Max stepped forward. “Hmm… how do I know you’re gonna promise that, huh?” He looked over at Avrey

Avrey got in between the two of them. “He said he would, alright?”

kenji looked up but quickly converted to looking at the ground. " im sorry, we'll keep it down.."

Max laughed. “I don’t believe you.” He said wryly, approaching Kenji. “I think we need to separate you two.”
Avrey forcefully put a hand to Max’s chest. “You need to leave.”

kenjis eyes teared, " why, tell me why you want us apart.."

Max snarled. “Because, Kenji, you’re supposed to be mine.”
Avrey tensed, ready to take him down

" how, you never said or did anything to show compassion! you were a jerk!" kenji raised his voice, taking a step forwards

Max glared. "I tried! I tired my best to be a good teammate, I tried me best to help you whenever the hell you needed it!" He gestured to Avrey. "What has this idiot ever done for you??"

kenji didn't hesitate " hes helped me realize my talent. hes boosted my courage. he made me feel proud to be who i was and proud of my own damn body!" he snapped. " did ya know i could play violin. did you know i only ever tried being like everyone else because i hated myself. no. no you didn't. but avrey did."

Avrey teared up, smiling as he stood closer to Kenji. "And Im not letting you do anything else to him."

Max huffed, ready to hit Avrey when one of the school officials tapped him on the shoulder. "Max Anderson? Right? Come with me." He lowered his eyes, walking off with the official

Avrey hugged Kenji tightly, chuckling softly. "Y-you really meant that?"

"yes!" he said and latched onto avrey, shaking harshly

Avrey held him closer, kissing him on the head and shutting the door. "Youve… you've done the same for me. A-and more."

" i thought i was going to shit bricks standing up to him.." he said softly

Avrey laughed, sniffling. "But.. but you didn't. And he's gone now."

" yeah.." he said softly. he gave a kiss to avreys neck " i wasnt meant for anyone but you.." ( dude, what if we did a polly)

Avrey grinned, kissing him back. "And I was lost until I found you." (ope…. what if…)

kenji smiled " we should go out tonight, hows about a drink?"

Avrey blushed. "A drink?" He cleared his throat. Its fine! You're with your boyfriend, and you've never done this type of stuff before. "Uh, yeah! Yeah I'd love to."

" okay! get ready!"

Avrey grinned, changing into a nicer shirt, ripped black jeans, and his trademark corduroy jacket. He took a minute to fix his wildly unruly hair

kenji changed into a crop top and his skinny jeans. he pulled his hair back.

Avrey blushed at his outfit as he entered the main room, grabbing his phone and airpods - just in case. "So um… where are we going?"

" to a bar i know," he said and held out his hand " come on!"

Avrey smiled and took it, excitedly heading after Kenji

once they got where they were going, kenji sat down and ordered his usual drinks

Avrey sat next to him, tapping his fingers and looking around. It wasn't as scary as he thought it was going to be

kenji pasted avrey a drink " here, try it." he said with a soft smile ( so you add one or me?)

(Idk DX ive never written something like this before so if youre ok with it. I can try tho)
Avrey smiled, sipping at it. "Damn… this is really good."
