Jas gave a soft chuckle "cheesecake is delicious, dear. Especially with the strawberry swirl throughout with the crunch of the graham cracker." His mouth watered at the thought of the ice cream flavor. He tilted his head curiously, setting aside his bowl of ice cream in favor of holding Connor close. "That would be very nice. We'll have to find a place to go then." He looked up in surprise when Connor mentioned not being a hero anymore. He thought about for a few moments before nodding and smiling softly "what would you do instead?" He asked, leaning heavily into Connor's hands, loudly purring as his hair was being petted. "Hm, yeah I'm ready." He murmured, pressing a kiss to Connor's wrists.
Suni flushed at Damion's comment. He had never really been with anyone even remotely interested in being with him. On the off chance he found some who was, they often ended up betraying him or leaving out of disinterest. Certainly never somome who wanted to cuddle and spend time with him for no other reason but to be by his side. "i'd like that." He replied softly, letting himself bask in the idea, even just for a moment. He breathed in the lingering scent of the jacket, finding that it smelled sweet, like vanilla. Suni flicked his gaze up, nearly tripping over himself. He took another look up at Damion when he regained his balance but found him looking away and asking something else. Suni smiled so himself before nodding. "Yeah, I'd really like that. Do you have any suggestions for first time btrak makers?"
He huffed a laugh as he felt the vibrations from Jas's purring run through his body. "I don't know. Maybe own a cafe of some sort. I'm not that good at cooking, but I can learn. Something laid back. I've had the same bsnk account for lives now, so I think my money stalk Is pretty big. Even so, It wouldn't feel fair to me if I just laid around in bed all day and did nothing, you know? I want to contribute somehow, just not something that risks my life in the process." He took a deep breath in, lost in his thoughts. "Maybe I can even get settled down with you. We're always over at each other houses to the point where you might as well move in. Even in our next life, I wouldn't mind a calm relaxing life—no serial killers with superhuman abilities to hunt down just you, me, and a house. Maybe a garden in the back or a pool, but I Like the garden idea a lot better. Someplace where we can see the stars at night, but also not away from everything you know?" he chuckled and stood up from the chair. "Sorry I was rambling. It seems like once I start, I can't stop." He took both of the ice cream bowls in his hand to bring inside. "Is it sleep and cuddle time now?"
"Well…" He thought for a moment. "Remember to put in yeast. Let's just say the first time I made bread. I forgot the yeast because when I swiped up on my iPad, I swiped too far and missed the yeast part. Let's say I spit it out, and now I have been scarred by the taste." Damion chuckled, stuffing his hand into the pockets of his jeans. "Here we are." He looked towards the big apartment building that didn't look cheap but didn't look expensive either. He used a key to get in and opened the door for Suni and followed him in. "I didn't want to ask before because I thought I might be intruding, but what happened to your mom? You seemed to use the past tense when you talked about her. If I completely read that wrong, please tell me, but I just didn't want to assume anything."
"a cafe huh. I can definitely see you as a cute barista." Jas murmured with a grin, eyes closed as he nuzzled into Connor's hand, still lightly purring. He blinked a few times and looked up at Connor. "You want me to move with you?" He breathed, lightly resting his hand on Connor's arm. Of course jas had thought of millions of scenarios where Connor and him were living together but, up until now, he znever really thought it a possibility. Just Connor, him, and a happy life together, the first of what he hoped to be many, many more together. "I really would love that, my heart." He murmured, gentoy brushing his hand along Connor's cheek. "Don't apologies, I could listen to you talk for hours." He reassured, whining softly when Connot moved away but reluctantly standing and helping putting away the cake. "As much as I want to stay up with you all night, i doubt I'd stay awake tomorrow if we didn't sleep now. But of course we can cuddle until then."
Suni hid a laugh behind his hand. "Then I remember to definately put in the yeast." He gave a sympathetic look and gently patted Damion's shoulder. "Even if the bread isn't so good, I won't spit it out." He promised, glancing up at the building they had stopped in front of mouth dropping open. "You live here? This is beautiful." He managed to give a nod in thanks as he cautiously entered. "I don't mind. I like talking about her. She's not dead or anything in case you were worried." He replied, gazing around the apartment. "She's just away for now. She's a nine-tailed kitsune. The highest rank of kitsune our kind has. They're rare, so are treated as respected guardians. When a kitsune gains their nine-tails, they ascend to the heavens to guard over us for a few decades. Mom visits every few years to check up on us kids and dad but she eventually has to go back to the heavens."
(Btw, this bit on kitsune lore is completely made up for the sake of the story. The actual lore on kitsune is completely different and really interesting if you ever want to look it up!)
(The fact that you made up kitsune lore on the spot is impressive)
"A cute barista?" he bumped Jas with his hip on purpose as he finished putting the ice cream away. "I bet you could come in every day and not even order anything. You would be there to see me. And you couldn't possibly listen to me talk for hours. I'm sure I would probably irritate you." He scoffed. "I was just-wait-" Connor blushed when he said he wanted to move in with him. It was just a suggestion that he didn't even think he would take it seriously. "O-Okay then, when we get back, I-I can h-help you m-move your things and-other stuff…" He trailed off, wrapping his arms around Jas's neck. He gave him a peck on the cheek and looked him in the eyes. "You want to move in with me? L-Like you're not joking around or anything?" Connor was holding his breath and even had to check a few times to make sure he was breathing correctly. Even if it wasn't, Connor was rarely confident Jas could hear his heart pounding in his chest, either from nervousness for his answer or just being so close to Jas.
"That takes some guts not to spit out food when it's bad. Sometimes I can't control it, normally why I don't like eating new things in public. My nose will scrunch up, and my face will look disgusted, you know." He chuckled from Suni's amazement. "Yeah, I've been living here for ages. So, I know the people, and they know me. The view is wonderful, though. The room is faced toward the sun, so I get to see the sunset and sunrise. I'm a bit of a morning person." Damion tugged Suni into the elevator as he talked about his mom. "That's good." He gave a relieved sigh. "I guess I learned something new, huh. Will, you eventually get nine tails, or is it just a birth thing?" he pressed the button that led to the 20th floor. Not the highest floor but not a low one since there were 25 floors in total.
(thanks!)
Jas smirked "you could never irritate me, sweetheart. And you're most likely right, I'd go solely for you. And maybe a ostry and coffee on occasion." He paused and turned away from the fridge, looking at Connor in slight confusion. "But of course I'm serious, love. Why would I joke about something like that when it's been the one thing I've wanted all these lives? A chance to be with you and be happy." He lightly cupped Connor's cheek and pressed a kiss to his brow, his other hand resting at his waist. "We'll take thing slow in this life. If you really want me to, I'll move in with you. We can both start looking for jobs to consider in our next if you want." He said, brushing aside Connor's hair and smiling encouragingly. "We can even look for places to live if you so please, But no matter what we do, there is no question that I want whatever we do to be together from now on. After all, I've been quite persistent all these lives, don't want all that effort to go to waste, do we?"
"So you'll be expecting some questions in the morning when you neighbors see little old me coming out of your apartment, huh?" He teased, trailing after Damion into the elevator. "That must be amazing, having a full view of the sun right from your window." He mused nodding his head in agreement. "Yeah, eventually. I'm four tailed kitsune. It'll take me a bit to get to nine and even then, I'll still have accept my position as a kitsune guardian. I don't think I'm ready to do that yet, especially with everything I still want or do here." He smiled softly, fidgeting with the sleeve of Damion's jacket.
"Yesh, yeah, I would like that…" Connor leaned into Jas's hand. "I never thought I would be planning my life and my next life with you. It feels nice." Connor tugged Jas towards the bed. "Honestly I didn't think you would say yes. I thought maybe you would think that I was moving too fast. I know we've known each other forever since before there were phones, I just thought that you wouldn't like the idea. It's stupid I know, but I would love to have my next life be with you and be calm and less at risk of losing each other. Maybe we can even-" He stopped himself, and tried to hide his growing blush. "No, no, no never mind. Let's just head to bed." He pulled the sheet back and climbed into bed. "Do you mind if I hold you while we sleep?" Connor played the blanket as he sat against the headboard. "Or you can hold me. It doesn't matter." He offered.
"It is very nice. I make a nice warm cup of coffee and sit at the edge of my bed and take in the scene." He sighed happily just think about it. The elevator stopped and it was time for Damion to open his apartment door. "It's nothing fancy, but it definitely is cozy." He opened the door and let Suni in first before closing and locking the door. The room was decorated like a lounge. Lights were hanging from the ceiling that wrapped around the room. There was a beanbag right in front of what looked like a gaming setup and then a couch a few inches behind that. The kitchen was not too far from there and his bedroom was down the hall. He tossed the keys in the tray and turned up the heat so Suni and mostly so he wouldn't be too cold. "You implying that you'll be sleeping over at my place?" He smirked. Of course, he would never do that so soon. After all they only just met, something like that takes time. They have plenty of it. "I hope it never comes to you leaving I mean, I love being around you. I wouldn't stop it, but I definitely wouldn't like it. I would 100% miss the hell out of you."
"honestly neither would I, sweetheart." He scoffed softoy as he followed Connor, "are you kidding me? I've been waiting lives for you to ask me to live with you. If anything, you moved to slow. But I am a patient kitty." Jas settled beside Connor, burying himself beneath the covers. Despite to pleasant heat coming from the outside, Jas still felt chilly both from the seaside breeze and from the ice cream. He tilted his head slightly, "darling you have to stop putting such beautiful fantasies in my head." He grinned and stretched his arms out. "Of course I don't mind. What would you prefer, me or a cat?"
"I definitely don't mind cozy. Believe me it beats out a cramped house with your sister and brother." He laughed and looked around, entranced by the lights. It made what would have been a typical apartment feel inviting and familiar. "Who said I'd stay until morning, hm?" He snickered as he stepped deeper into the apartment. "As much as I'd like to stay for as long as you'll have me, this is our first date." He reminded softly, standing in the middle of the room.
Connor chuckled and kissed Jas's lips slowly. "I'm glad you waited then. Otherwise, we wouldn't be here right now, would we? Since you very much like the idea, you can start moving your clothes and things over to my place or vice versa." Connor sent a playful glare to Jas. "What exactly we're you think because I can promise you it wasn't what I was thinking. Honestly, you're such a tease, but I love you." Connor wrapped his arms around Jas's waist and snuggled into his chest. "You, always and forever." Connor loved the warmth Jas seemed to give him. He didn't know how much he could always sleep if it were with Jas. Before they even got together, he had nightmares and often woke up shaking in the middle of the night. Now he doesn't get those anymore.
"I know it was only a joke. I could never ask you to stay here overnight; that's much too soon. Why are you just standing there? Come on; we have some bread to bake." He took Suni's hand a pulled him over to the kitchen. "I'll get the ingredients together; feel free to clean off the counter, so it's easier to set things down. It's a bit of a mess, but I cook a lot since I live alone."He needed to partially distract himself because he was still wearing his hoodie every time he looked at Suni. He saw him play with the ends of the sleeves, and he only sighed and said to himself how cute he was. He took out the flower first and set it on the counter. After that, he gathered dough, yeast, honey, salt, and butter. He then washed his hands and rolled up his sleeves.
"would it be too much if ibwere moving in with you? I don't think there's enough room in my apartment for the both of us." He said, hugging Connor close and pressing a kiss to his hair. "Hm, nothing more than wishful thinking heart. Wishful thinking that I hope will come true one day." He grinned and gave a dismissive shrug. He tugged the blankets over both their forms and curled up around Connor. "What would you say to coming back here in the future? Maybe not here exactly but some place like this. A nice beach, good food, a nice suite?" He asked aoftlu, trailing his fingers through Connor's hair.
Suni nodded shyly as he was tugged into the kitchen, a soft whine escaping him. "Waiting for you, slow poke." He retorted with a grin, watching Damion for a few heart beats too long before realizing he was supposed to be setting up the area. He tugged the hod on farther to hide his flush before washing his hands as well and finding bowls, measuring cups, and the stand-mixer.
"No, no, no, I don't mind." Connor was practically floating on cloud nine. Jas was moving in with him soon felt amazing; waking up to him, coming home to him, and everything in between. "I would love to go somewhere like this, just the two of us and without work. We'll do this again, I promise." He hummed. "I can see why you like me petting your hair. This feels nice…" He yawned let his eyes close. "Good night Jas." He managed to say before he finally slept for the first time since arriving. He made sure to wrap around Jas tightly, but not too tight so he couldn't breathe. He never wanted to leave this bed as long as Jas was in it with him.
"I'm slowpoke, huh. You'll eat your words." He laid out the flour on the counter and kneaded the dough. His hands were white from the flour as he carefully handled it. "Alright, first, you'll need to get it soft because it's been in the fridge you need to get it ready for adding in the rest of the ingredients." He grunted halfway through his sentence. The dough wasn't small, so it was a bit harder than he tried to make bread most of the other times. "Now you try. Considering you know how to cook, I'm sure you know how to knead the dough. Of course, you need help; I won't mind helping you while you do it." Damion stepped back from the dough to let Suni try. "Try to do it as carefully as possible; you don't want to rip the dough."
Jas nodded, slightly lost in though, “Yeah, me too. Maybe even as…” he trailed off as he watched Connor nod off to sleep, an adoring smile resting of his features. He pressed a soft kiss to Connor’s brow, laughing softly as he was squeezed into Connor’s embrace. “Good night, beautiful creature.” He murmured, moving his hands so one rested on Connor’s back and the other in his hair. He tangled their legs together, wanting Connor as close to him as possible before the inevitable Tim came for Connor to leave for his mission the next day. “get some well deserved rest, my hero.” He pressed his nose into Connor’s hair, breathing him and finally letting his exhaustion pull him into peaceful sleep.
Suni watched in anticipation as Damion unwrapped the bread dough and started to knead it. He scrunched up his nose, catching the yeasty scent of the dough. “Theres more going into this?” Suni asked, having assumed they’d start ff with something more simple. “Not that affect the bake?” He asked curiously, bouncing on his heals in excitement. He bit his lip but tentatively took up Damion’s spot. He poked the dough before lifting the now squishy blob of dough and promptly letting it drop back onto the counter, trying his best to get a feel for the dough before attempting to knead it. “Cooking and bread making are very different. Usually I have the stand mixer do all the work, then I just portion to little bread rolls. I’ve never done anything this big.” He admitted, stepping back to pull off the borrowed jacket, not wanting to cover it in flour or sticky dough. He rolled up his sleeves and started to knead the dough, ears back against his head in concentration as he tried to copy the movements he had seem Damion do. “How’s this?"

Connor's eyebrows furrowed as he opened them to light shining through the curtains. He hummed, realizing he wasn't at home but with Jas in Florida. He looked up and smiled, pulling a strand behind Jas's ear. "He looks so peaceful when he's asleep," he whispered to himself. He rubbed his eyes, yawned, and stretched as he spoke. "Should I order some food?" He asked himself. "I'll wait…" He rested his hand on Jas's cheek and kissed his forehead. He dug his head into the crick on Jas's neck. There wasn't much he could do until Jas woke up. He wanted to be there when he woke up, so Connor could pamper him with kisses. "You can't hear me right now because you're asleep, but I love you, you know that? Waking up to you is amazing. I get to know that you're still here, and I'm not in an insanely long coma." He chuckled. "God, I really hope you're asleep." He mumbled.
He's too cute.. He watched him bounce in excitement, making his smile even bigger. " Yes, there is more going into this. You want the bread to taste like bread, not like dry dough, you know. Otherwise, it would just be pizza crust." He gave a soft laugh as he watched his ears and his hands. "Are they? I figured they were the same. Maybe it's because I'm skilled in both." He tilted his head side to side. "It's more like this here." He stood behind him and put his hands over Suni's, and moved them slowly and softly, but at the same time, it was still rough. "Much better. No matter how big the dough, you still have to treat it with care. I think you get the gist of it." He poked Suni's nose, causing the flour to paint the tip of his nose white. He chuckled softly. "Next we uh…" He tried his best not to laugh while he spoke. He couldn't take Suni seriously. "We add in the…" The flour made him look more like a rabbit than a fox. "We add in yeast so we can…develop the bread." He cleared his throat.
Jas gave a soft mewling whine as he reluctantly blinked awake, breathing heavily as he took in his surroundings, as he took in Connor by his side. "Why were you hoping I was asleep, love?" He mumbled, yawning and lazily wrapping his around Connor's waist. "You weren't by any chance watching while I slept, were you?" He purred tiredly, still trying to shake the morning drowsiness that clung to his body. "Can't have you thinking I'm cute and innocent." He pressed a soft kiss to Connor's brow, burying both of them in the heavy blankets. "I love you too, sweetheart." He whispered, winking and nuzzling Connor's cheek. "How'd you sleep?" He asked, brushing his Thumb along Connor's cheek.
"I feel like your offending all breadmakers at this point but you're the expert here." He chuckled softly, still struggling with the dough. He immediately went rigid when Damion's arms came around him to help knead the bread dough. He didn't dare turn to look at Damion, scared that he'd see Suni's blush and be too close. He whined softly as he was booped, covering his nose with his hands. He glared playful and wiped off the flour from his nose, but not before Throwing a pinch of flour at Damion, covering his hair in the white powder. ""Careful, kitsune are known to get their revenge in humans who tease them." Suni warned with a smirk, ears flicking in amusement
Connor whipped his head up with a deep tone of red coming to his cheeks. "H-huh? Uh…it's nothing just um…nothing don't worry about it." He pecked his lips quickly, and Connor grinned. "I just woke up a couple of seconds ago, so maybe a little bit. Besides, you are cute, hardly innocent, but indeed very cute." He closed his eyes when Jas kissed him. "Morning kisses are the best kisses." his eyes grew wide as he hit Jas on the chest playfully. "So you were awake, you sly little cat!" He was laughing while he scolded Jas. "Don't act all clueless with you-" The nuzzles from jas shut up, soon leaning into his hand. "I-I…I slept well…" he growled. "That was so embarrassing; you know that, right? How much did you hear?" Connor covered his face with his hand and leaned into Jas's shoulder.
He shook his hair, but the flour didn't come out. He thought for a moment, stared at Suni, and pretended to think. "Oh yeah? I don't know; my hands are covered in flour. Whatever shall I do to get it off…" he smirked and looked at Suni. "I might just you know…" Damion grabbed a small handful of flour and threw it onto his clothes to distract Suni, then put the excess flour on his hands onto Suni's cheeks. "I'm sorry…uh, what's that about revenge. According to you, I thought Kitsune was supposed to be known for it." He teased and grinned. "I'm the king of revenge, and I will get you back ten times fold. It's why my personality is the best." He joked. "Do you really want to have a war with me right now?" He raised an eyebrow with a delightful grin plastered on his face, and his eyes narrowed in focus.
Jas gasped dramatically "I'm the sly one? When you're the one speaking so very sweetly in my ear knowing full well that I'm far too sleepy to respond correctly?" He shook his head in disbelief and sighed. "Any kisses with you are the best." He reached up and brushed a gentle kiss to Connor's lips. He chuckled softly and cradled Vonnor close to his chest, gentpy prying his hands away from his face. "Only that you love me, love waking up to me and glad that you're glad you're not in a coma." He replied softly, an adoring smile on his face and pressed kisses to Connor's face. "Was there anything else you said?" He asked, purring softly as he held Connor, completely content with staying with staying here with the one he loved so much.
Suni yelled out in surprise, trying to wriggle out of Damion's grasp. He growled and glared up at Damion, "oh poor angel," he cooed, breaking out into a coy smile and he lightly grasped Damion's wrists, pulling his arms away from his face even as he leaned in close. "You underestimate our ways." Suni tightened his grip on Damion's arms and shoved him back against the counter, pinning him against the table and his own body. Suni's face was mere inches away, his lips just barely hovering over Damion's. "Now look what we've gotten ourselves into, what were you saying before? You were the king if revenge?" He teased, barely whispering. "Now, I'm going to wash off all this flour while you decide what else to put into the bread." He flicked his gaze to the dough resting on the other end of the counter. "And then we're going to enjoy the rest of our lovely date." He smiled sweetly before slowly taking a step back and looking around to try and find the backroom
He leaned into his kisses. "You are a sly one Jas. If you heard everything, there's no reason to respond. You just heard me say a lot of things I never thought I could say to you while you were conscious." Connor shook his head rapidly, "No, no! you said it all. That's it!" He wined, hiding his face in Jas's shoulder. "No, you're not allowed to see how red I am.” he sat up and rolled onto Jas’s chest. “Do you want to go down for breakfast or order in? I don't mind either way.” Connor rested his hand on Jas’s cheek, his thumb moving back and forth. “I could get used to this, you know.” His face still nested in Jas’s neck, and his free hand rubbed Jas’s shoulder. “Waking up to You every morning. I think seeing your face in the morning is the best gift you can give me, kitty,” his voice was just above a whisper as he spoke.
Damion gulped as his eyes flickered from Suni's eyes to his lips and back again. In all his years, he's never been pinned anywhere for any reason. He gripped the counter as he slowly slid off the table. It took him a bit to grasp what happened, but he figured out the conclusion to all of it. Damion liked it, and he wanted Suni to do it again. He knew that wouldn't come unless he provoked him, and Damion didn't want to fuck his chance up so quickly, so he kept silent. He shook his head and focused back on Suni. "U-Uh… the the-the bathroom is down the…the hall and t-to-to the left." Damion pointed to the hallway he was talking about. "Y-You can wash up there if you'd like." He walked over to the dough and finished putting in the ingredients. He washed his hands in the kitchen sink and splashed water on his face. Focus Damion… "How can he pin me against the table and then give me the sweetest smile…nope, don't think about it…." he said to himself as he started to grab the dough and separate it into tiny pieces on the tray.
"I don't believe you~" jas sang and he combed through Connor's hair with his fingers. He chuckled lightly, adjusting his hold on Connor as he moved about. He leaned in the hand at his cheek, eyes fluttering shut as pressed a kiss to his wrist. "I could too, dear." He murmured, purring at the physical touch. "A gift, maybe not but I'm definitely gratefully I get to wake up your lovely self every morning." He murmured, peppering Connir in kisses. "I wouldn't mind some breakfast in bed. Unless you want take food down to the beach and enjoy the view. I wouldn't mind either way."
Suni nodded his thanks and headed off towards the bathroom, but not before glancing over his shoulder and chuckling lightly. In all honestly, he felt bad for Damion. He hadn't meant to spring it on him so suddenly but he had been provoked. He knew it wasn't wise to jump at every insult and taunt, especially in his line of work but he thought it just good fun, especially with the grin that Damion had been giving him. What other choice did a kitsune had than to defend his title. He snickered softly and shook his head as he closed the bathroom door behind him. He quite liked Damion, more than he had been ready to admit to himself. Quickly shucking off his now flour covered clothes, he turned on the shower, waited for the water to reach the temperature he liked and shifted into his fox form. He tried his best to shake off the majority of the flour but it clung to his fur. He huffed a sigh and hopped into the shower anyways, trying his best to wash out the flour instead.
Connor giggled as Jas kissed his face. "We could grab some food and go to the beach, but that requires getting out of bed so early in the morning. When I could stay here and enjoy your kisses…" He cupped Jas's cheek and kissed his lips in between sentences. "We can have breakfast in bed…" He hummed against Jas's lips. He let one of his hands travel to Jas's hair, lightly stroking his fingers through Jas's hair. "Then, after all of that, we can get up, and we can get up, put on clothes, and I can show you around this beautiful place." Connor laughed and gave Jas kisses along his jawline. "So I don't care which one we do because either way, I still have you. So, do you think the beach is a better idea or lying here in bed and being lazy?"
Damion figured he should stop impulsively making the biscuits and wait for Suni to come out. He was supposed to teach Suni how to make them. Damion liked Suni more than he liked anyone. He's had his relationships from time to time. Most of them ended badly because he would always get taken advantage of. He would show them love and care, and in return, he would get asked for favors which turned into demands which made him realize that person wasn't right for him. Suni, however, doesn't seem like that. At least, he hoped. He hasn't dated Suni or even spoken to him for more than 12 hours, but it felt better when he was with him. Damion felt like he could talk to him easier than most people. There wasn't a struggle to get out his opinion when he wanted to share it. He liked that; a lot. He waited for a reasonable amount of time before he went to check on Suni. In reality, he only waited five minutes. He knocked on the bathroom door and leaned against it sideways. "Hey, are you alright in there? Do you need any help, or are you okay?" He pressed his ear to the door to hear Suni once he answered.
Has couldn't help but melt into Connor's affection. Despite what was looming ahead, Jas regretted saying those things last night. No matter what could happen, Jas knew he'd want to be no where else other than with Connor, as much as he was allowed. "Very well, breakfast in bed it is." He murmured, purring loudly as he tilted his head. "You know I'd take staying in bed with you over anything." He chuckled lightly and caught Connor's lips, kissing him slowly and sweetly, not caring much for breakfast since he had Connor. "Order anything you like, sweetheart. As long as you don't leave my arms."
Suni had managed to tangle himself up in the towels as he attempted to dry himself off by the time Damion had knocked on the door. He whined softly to let Damion know he could come in as he continued to dry himself, fur sticking up in clumps of fluff, his four tails fluffy and frizzy with static. Being a fire kitsune, Suni had an aversion to remaining wet for long periods of time. He was with showers and short baths but he much rather to stay dry and warm, much like his element. He huffed an annoyed sigh and shook of the towel, deciding to shake himself off doggy style instead of opting for the more polite way. It was Damion's fault anyways if his bathroom was covered with water and fun, he had gotten Suni into the mess to begin with
"Okay, then. Waffles and bacon it is…" He reached over to the phone and typed in the room service number. His top half hovered over Jas with one arm as the lower half of his body was stationary. He spoke in Spanish against as he nodded once the man over the phone repeated his order. He hung up the phone and laid back down on top of Jas. "I couldn't choose whether to get pancakes or waffles, so I got both. We can share them. I know they're the same thing, but the way they're made always makes them taste like two separate dishes." Connor scratched the scar on his back and shifted his shirt until it was comfortable. It was one of the reasons why he didn't like sleeping with a shirt on, but he was with Jas. He didn't want to seem indecent, so he pulled his shirt down, hiding the scar stemming from his lower neck that traveled down his since to his lower back. "Where do you want to start today? The pool or a drive around Florida or rather the area we're in. I can go for both."
Damion opened the door and looked down to see a big puffy mess. "Oh my." He crouched down and took the towel from under Suni's paws. "What a mess. Why not just take a shower as a human. Now, look at you." Damion rested his hand on the side of Suni's neck as he moved the towel from Suni's head to his tail in a gliding motion. "I suppose you usually take showers as a fox, so it's more comfortable for you that way. Maybe I'm just guessing here. That flower seems to be sticking to you, huh. My bad." He moved onto his legs, drying his paws as well. "Ay Dios Mio. It's not coming off. Here get in the tub, and I'll wash you with shampoo. How does that sound? A bath on our first date doesn't sound too bad, right?" Damion kissed the top of Suni's head before moving the shower curtain and turning the water on. Damion waited for the water to get hot before plugging the drain so the water could fill up the bathtub. "All I beg of you is that you don't splash me while I do it. Are you okay with taking a bath right now? If not, I will drain the tub, and we can get this off you a different way."
Jas tried his best to quet his purring to a lower volume as Connor spoke on the phone but couldn't help but find Connor more attractive when he spoke another language. He had always though knowing another language was beautiful, whether that be Spanish, Italian, or even Japanese like suni, seeing someone else speak it had always impressed Jas. He opened his eyes when he felt Connor settle back down against him and shook his head. "They're definately not the same." He argued, brow creasing worry as he caught a peak of Connor's back. His brows furrowed slightly as he sat up up and gently lifted the collar of Connor's to look at his upper back, seeing the white scarring starting at Connor's back. His eyes widened in slight horror, mouth going dry but tongue heavy with questions. Who did this to you? What happened? When did this happen? Why didn't you tell me? Instead he took a measured breath and focused on Connor's face, searching for any sign of discomfort. "Does it bother you?" He asked softly, taking care not to move the shirt around so much that it snagged on the skin, leaving the other question hanging in the air. If Connor was in any pain at all, jas didn't want to do anything until he knew Connor was alright
Suni was very glad fox' couldn't blush else he'd most likely be with his mother in the heavens right now due to death by embarrassment. Not that he was embarrassed now but he was thankful to his guardian spirits that he was able to hide it better in this form. He tried his best to sit still as Damion dried him off, having not yet gotten used to being touched at all by other people that weren't his immediate family. He could receive pets from Sasha and Jas, maybe even Conan all day but he'd never been shown affection from someone he actually liked. He whined softly, as he watched the bath fill with water but reluctantly got in, seeing the water level not deep enough to be of harm. He hopped back into the tub, snickering softly when he got some water on Damion. He figured after all the trouble he had gone through, it was only right that he got Damion back somehow. Despite his constant need to exact some revenge, Suni managed to stay relatively still throughout the process, even leaning into Damion's hand in appreciation.
Connor twirled Jas's hair around his finger. "Hm?" He looked towards his back. "No, no,…well, sort of yeah. I don't usually sleep with a shirt on, but I'm with you, and I didn't want to seem indecent or make you uncomfortable. So, since I've been wearing a shirt every night we slept together, it's been a bit itchy and a little uncomfortable." He smiled and kissed Jas's jaw. "What's that look for, Kitty? It's a scar that happened lives ago; it just always seems to follow me. It was how I died a while back. That's why it's so big. He rubbed it under his shirt but couldn't seem to get the right spot. "Can you help me out a bit? Just rub it for a while; I can't reach it. It doesn't hurt or anything, I promise. Honestly, it just gets itchy at this point; it's like a part of my skin, you know?" He tangled his fingers in Jas's hair as he spoke. He gave light kisses to Jas's neck tiredly. "You're so warm," he mumbled.
"You like this, don't you?" He teased. "Don't get me wrong, I would like it too." the soap covered his hands and Suni's back as well. "Honestly, this is kind of relaxing, in my opinion." he hummed softly as he finished up Suni's tails. He moved onto his legs which didn't take him long to complete. "Alright, now close your eyes. I wouldn't want to get soap or water in your eyes." He took the showerhead and turned it on, and watched the soap slide into the water. "Alright, I'm going to drain the bath so I can get this off of you properly." Damion waited for the water to go down so he could spray him down once more. "Alright, we're done." He laid a clean towel across the floor and grabbed another to dry Suni with. "Alright, step out onto the towel, and I'll dry you. Do you prefer the towel or a blow dryer?" He held out a blow dryer in one hand and a towel in the other.
Jas purred weakly as he tried his best to focus on his concern for Connor more that the attention he was receiving. “Darling, it wouldn’t have been indecent of you or uncomfortable for me if you had told me why. Besides, why would I mind?” He nodded slight and lightly lifted Connor’s shirt, finding the spot and gently rubbing circles on Connor’s skin, hoping to relieve some of the discomfort. He flinched at the mention of Connor dying, pressing his face into his shoulder. It wasn’t so much the thought of Connor dying as much as it was the image the scar conjured up In Jas’ mind that made him sad. He couldn’t recall a time here he saw Connor die so horrifically. He wasn’t entirely sure he ever wanted to but the thought that he wasn’t there beside him didn’t sit well with Jas. He hugged Connor close, reminding himself that there could still be a possibility of that exact thing happening tonight. He’d be in the hotel while Connor was potentially risking his life for some mission. He sighed softly, brought out of his thoughts by Connor’s kisses. He purred a bit loudly and tilted his head. “You’re more than welcome to stay as long as you want.” He replied, pressing his lips to Connor’s jawline.
Suni barked softly, tail swishing lazily in the bath water. The water made him feel sleepy due to his element’s natural aversion to the opposite element, but Suni honestly didn’t mind. He liked the calm feeling he got when around Damion. He gladly gave into the lapping motion of wanter and to Damion’s gentle caresses, only blinking his eyes open when the water was drained and he was doused in a gentle sprinkling of water. He went to the far corner of the bath to avoid getting both Damion and the rest of the Bathroom wet when he shook himself from the water. He propped his pas up on the bath edge and gently tugged at the towel, hating the sound of the blowdryer. He hopped out of the tub and sat onto of the towel on the ground, flicking the remaining water from his paws, ears, and tails
"That feels nice." He shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know. I don't know what you like and don't like. Better to be safe than sorry. However, since you said you don't mind…" He trailed off and sat up completely. He pulled off his shirt entirely and laid back down on Jas. "Much better." Connor traced Jas's facial features and flicked his nose. "Hey, don't think about it too much, okay. It was a long time ago. I'm fine now, and I'm healthy. You're holding me in your arms, and we're on vacation. Not to mention your hand feels so nice on my back. It doesn't hurt. You're not going to hurt me." Connor hummed, leaving more visible kisses on his neck. "The mission tonight…will go exactly as planned. Today will be great…when I get back from my hard and long mission…if you're asleep by then, I can just." He kissed Jas's ear. "Crawl into to bed with you, and you can hold me again just like we are now." He kissed him slowly on the lips. He wanted it to last forever, but then a knock came on the door and ruined the moment. He breathed a laugh, slightly annoyed. "I…will go get that."
"Towel it is then." He put the hairdryer away and started to dry off Suni with the towel. "This is much better. Now, you're all clean and no flour to be seen. Damion gently rubbed the towel against Suni's ear before moving on to his neck. "Does everything feel okay? I'm being too rough, right?" He looked at Suni in the eyes but looked away right after. "Since you cannot answer me because you are in your fox form, I feel like I should say it now before I forget. I don't think I could ever say this to your face without feeling cheesy. Hey, worth a shot. I think you are the cutest guys I've ever met. You just seem so perfect. I-I know no one is perfect, but you know what I mean. I just really, really hope this works out, you know?" Damion smiled sweetly as he finished up his paws and moved to his tails. "Do you mind your tails being touched? I want to make sure I don't make you uncomfortable."
Jas' breath wavered, Connor's kisses not offering any help to his racing heartbeat. His hand ghosted over Connor's skin, tracing the dips and curve of his spine. "I love you, there should be no question about that." He managed to say, whining softly when Connor kissed his ear. "Darling angel," he mumbled, fingers twining into his hair. "You dare tease me, sweetheart? Knowing full well you're just as sensitive." He cooed, eyeing Connor with a smirk. "I doubt i'll be able to sleep tonight while you're gone but I'll hold you to that, dear. I'll wait for you to come home to me." He gently cupped Connor's cheek and gladly kissed back, tasting the salt sweet of Florida on Connor's lips. He sighed softly when Connor broke away, glaring at the door. "Breakfast I hope." He sat up completely and ran a hand through his dishevelled hair.
Suni gladly lifted his head, reveling in Damion's attention now that he wasn't as tired from the water. Suni trilled softly, leaning his head heavily into Damion's hand. His ears flicked up when Damion spoke about likeing him so much, whining softly in response and licking Damion's hand, nibbling affectionately before stepping forwards and nuzzling against his chest. He barked happily before biting the towel and tugging it free from Damion's hands. While he really did like Damion and trusted him enough to show his kitsune self, his tails were something he didn't really allow many to handle since they were the source of his power. If suni were in the wrong situation and someone caught a kitsune, he'd be owned essential by his captor and his abilities owned by them. While he hoped Damion wouldn't be that kind of person, the fear of that ever happening still gripped at his nerves. He nudged Damion's shoulder apologetically before nodding his head towards the door.
(How big is Suni's fox form like is it smaller than a normal-sized fox or is it the size of a fox just with multiple tails?)
"Teasing? Me? Never…" He shook his head and winked. Connor groaned and stood up off of the bed. As soon as he stood from the bed, he missed Jas's touch. It still lingered on him like a tattoo. He almost went back just to hug him for longer. He lazily walked up to the door. and swung it open, glaring at the person who brought the food. "Thank you…" he sighed and took the tray. He turned around and kicked the door clothes before he continued walking. "Smells heavenly." Connor set the tray on the bed and combed his fingers through his hair. "Back in bed, I go." He sat with one leg crossed over the other next to Jas. He relaxed his poster as he took off the cover of the food. "Looks good too. So what was this opinion about pancakes and waffles not being the same?"
Damion chuckled when he was licked and nibbled. "I guess that means you like me in some way too." He stood up and opened the door for Suni. "I'll be out in a minute; I just have to clean up the water and everything. He used the towel to dry the floor before putting it in the hamper. He hummed happily as he cleaned the bathroom and made sure everything was dry. He closed the bathroom door behind him when he finished. "Ready to get back to making bread? I promise I won't splash flour on you. "All we need to do now is make the buns, and then after we can maybe make two cups of hot chocolate? If hot chocolates, not your things, I was other liquids." he breathed a laugh before leading Suni back to the counter. "Of course, you could always just lay there and watch me do it if you want to stay in your fox form." He covered his hands in flour and made medium-sized balls out of the dough.
(basically a normal fox with four tails.)
Jas chuckled as he watched Connor answer the door then return. "You could kill with that gaze you just gave the poor hotel staff just now, dear." He tugged Connor closer, not wanting to waste a single he got to be with him today. They're completely different," he argued, taking a small plate provided and filling it with waffles and fruit. "They're made different, they use different machines, they taste different. Honestly the only thing that's different is the general shape and thatvtueure both breakfast items." Jas bit into a crispy waffle, humming in delight before following up with a strawberry dipped in cream.
Suni preoccupied himself by drying off his tails the best he could, giving himself one last good shake before standing and nudging the towels in a neat pile by Damion's side. He padded out to wait in the hall, taking in the apartment with new senses. He tilted head as he followed Damion back to the kitchen.he liked the idea of hot chocolate, something warm and sweet to end the night off. He eyed Damion with suspicious amusement before finding his sweatshirt and shoving his head inside. He shifted and pulled on the rest of the sweater. "Teach me, please." He said, resting his chin on Damion's shoulder, missing his closeness. He poked at the bread rolls. "Do these proof or will they be baked now?"
(kk)
He shrugged playfully. "Well, he interrupted me kissing you, which means he deserved that glare. He knows he deserved it too…" Connor started with the pancakes. It seemed to calm him down as soon as he put it in his mouth. The hint of butter in the batter used to make the pancakes was evident. He felt honored to have tasted them. "I wish I could cook like this…I'm not that mad at the doorman anymore. He brought me this wonderful heaven called pancakes. I should apologize later." He nodded, slowly listening to his argument. "I see your point, but it's the same batter, no?" He covered his mouth as he talked. Connor would rather the food he was chewing stay inside his mouth and shoot out onto Jas.
Damion squeaked in surprise from hearing Suni's voice. He cleared his throat and tried not to focus on the fact that Suni was cuddling him from behind. Not to say he didn't like it. He very much enjoyed it."Right yeah, so now that the dough is done, you take about a handful, I would say, and shape it into a ball. Please don't make it too tight otherwise;, it won't bake correctly. Make sure it's loose but still has a shape to it." He blushed slightly as he finished one and placed it onto the tin foil. "When you put it on the tin foil, make sure you have cooking spray so it doesn't stick and you can't get it off." He sighed and leaned his head against Suni's. "Do you want to try now?"
Jas gave a slight shrug as he dipped his Waffle's corner into the sugary syrup. "I'm not sure, dear. I assume it's very similar with some differences." He popped a blueberry into his mouth. "Either way, I think they're different breakfast items but both equally as good. How are the pancakes?" He asked, offering Connor a waffle for one of his pancakes. "Where are we going first after we decide to get out this extremely comfy bed?"
Suni watched carefully as Damion rolled the dough into perfect little buns and set them aside. He made a note of where the cooking spray was, not wanting to go through the trouble of unsticking the buns after all the hard work he'd go throughjustto make them. He nudged his head against Damion's before going next to him and cutting off a small portion of bread similar to the size of the buns already made. He bunched his lips in concentration as he copied Damion's technique and slowly rolled the dough into a neat ball. "How's this?"
