Keigo woke about an hour after Amelia. At first he fought to wake up, gripping softly onto the pillow, but eventually he opened his eyes.

“Hello, love. You feeling any better?”Amelia asked softly.

“ mmm, not really but it's as good as it's going to get.” he said softly

“I suppose so. Well, while we’re here, waiting impatiently for your wounds to heal, if there’s anything you want to ask me, go ahead. We’re in my, rather barren, lair, so why not?”Amelia said, chuckling a bit.

“ there's one thing but the thing I need for it is sitting in my room sooo,” he said not giving her any hints.

Amelia stared at him a moment, a bit confused.

“What thing do you need? I could have Bull fetch it, if he’s not too busy,”Amelia asked.

“ I don't want anyone else seeing it. “ he said softly and tried to sit up again. He took in a deep breath and shuddered out a pain-filled breath. He held his wound. Not to tight but enough to try and ease the pain.

“Here, I keep a stash of extra pillows in one of these cabinets,”Amelia said, concerned.

She stood and searched for the pillow stash, eventually finding it and pulling out several pillows. She then gently helped Keigo sit up, putting the pillows behind him to prop him up.

“Better?”she asked, sitting down next to him.

“And what does this thing look like? Where is it at?”she added.

“ I'm not telling you, and yes it's a lot better “ he said with a laugh. Keigi smiles warmly at Amelia

Amelia smiled back, snickering at his secretiveness.

“So, how are you going to ask this question of yours? Or are we both just going to have to wait until you’re better so you can get this thing from your room?”she wondered.

“ we’ll have to wait until I can drift back across,” he said with a sly smile.

Amelia giggled.

“Damn you. Playing the suspense card now. And now I’m going to be even more impatient for you to heal,”she said jokingly, grinning.

Keigo suck his pierced tongue out at her, “ I will not give you a single hint until then either so don't try and get it out of me. “ he said happily

Amelia stuck her tongue out back at him, then laughed.

“I might have to try at least once, but I’ll spare you for now,”she said playfully, snickering.

Keigo laughed “ okay love, but trust me when I say you won't want spoilers. “ he said and smiled.

Toaci woke the next morning to still being in Johnathan's room, he trilled a happy little call and went over to Johnathan.

“‘Won’t want spoilers’. Okay, this is getting even more intriguing by the minute. Damn, and I still have to wait,”Amelia said, snickering.

She sat there a moment, thinking deep and trying to figure out what this thing could be. Her mind blanked. She laughed.

“Damn. Now I can’t decide if I want to question you or not,”she said, giggling.

Jonathan woke to Toaci’s call. He smiled and gently petted him.

“Hey there. Ya love hanging out with me, do ya?”he asked drowsily.

“ beta up!” he squawked and bobbed his head up and down.

Keigo laughed a little “ trust me you'll love it” he said softly and took her hand in his.

Jonathan laughed.

“I hear ya. I’m getting up,”he said.

Jonathan sat up and yawned, brushing his fingers through his hair.

Amelia smiled warmly, curling her fingers around his hand.

“I bet I will. It is going to nag at me though. Heal up quickly, so I won’t have to wait so long,”she said with a giggle.

Keigo smiled softly “ ill try my damnedest to heal quickly”

Toaci was looking around for his bowl. Pecking at the bed every so often. Once Johnathan was up and moving toaci took off to keigos door and paced it.

Amelia giggled, smiling wide.

Jonathan quickly realized what Toaci was wanting and followed him. He then looked around for his food and water bowls, checking that they had enough of both in them.

“Sorry if I’m doing this wrong. My first time, uh, feeding a bird,”Jonathan said to Toaci.

He sat down on the edge of the bed and looked around. He appreciated the simplicity of Keigo’s room. It was definitely less hectic than his own. He then turned back to watch Toaci.

Keigo yawned, closing his eyes for a bit.

Toaci ate happily, offering a few pieces to Johnathan

Amelia yawned after him, giggling because of it.

Jonathan snickered as he watched Toaci.

“Thank ya for the offer, but I think I’ll wait a bit before eating anything. Let myself wake up a bit more,”he said, laughing a bit.

Toaci went back to looking around the room until he landed on a black box “ melias birdy!” he said happily and bobbed his head up and down. Inside, waiting to be opened was a ring, shaped like a phoenix-like bird made of silver, the tail feathers and middle along with the lower part of the body formed the ring, the head cradled a medium-sized diamond, while the wings spanned upwards to go up the finger.

(I knew it was a ring! Lmao! I love the description, by the way)

“Amelia’s bird?”Jonathan asked.

He stood and looked in the box, his eyes widening in shock.

“Holy shit,”he gasped.

He set the box down in the exact same spot it had been, making it look as though it hadn’t been touched.

“Holy shit,”Jonathan gasped again, a grin starting to grow on his face.

Toaci chirp happily. “ beta happy?” he said and flew up to his shoulder

Keigo thought about the ring in the box, he was unsure if Amelia would say yes, but he had a guy feeling she would. He loved her just as much as she loved him.

Jonathan looked at Toaci and smiled.

“Yeah,”he said.

He was still sad about Maxim, but that would always be there. But, that ring, and the possibilities it brought, definitely cheered him up.

Amelia watched Keigo, content. The question of what Keigo’s hidden ‘thing’ was still nagged at her, but she was willing to wait. She didn’t care how long she would wait, as long as she was near Keigo the entire time.

Keigo opened his eyes, the emerald green searching the room “ I'm bored as fuck.” he said out of nowhere

Amelia laughed.

“I know the feeling. Well, we could talk, or… I think I might have some cards stashed somewhere. I forget where I put it,”Amelia said, trying to think of where she had last seen her deck of cards.

“ I wonder when I can move again “ he pouted. Keigo looked around the room, looking for something to do.
