The medic smiled and saw himself out, Keigo, on the other hand, sat back down and rubbed his temples. “ sorry, for earlier “

“No need to be sorry. It happened, it’s over with, simple as that. I just want to make sure you’re okay,”she replied.

“ I'm fine, I promise” he said heavily. Leigh eventually moved to lay his head in Amelias lap. He’s green eyes watching her carefully.

“Alright. But I’m still going to ask anytime this happens,”Amelia replied, lightly teasing him.

She giggled and blushed slightly when he lied his head on her lap, meeting his eyes with a shy but amused smile.

“Comfy?”

“ yeah” he said with a sheepish smile. “ so, here in a few minutes the crew will awake. What do ya want to do?” He asked softly. “ we could snuggle or float outside if you like, though I’m not a fan of it.

Amelia chuckled. A bit of nervousness came to her at the thought of the crew waking up, but she tried her best to ignore it.

“Honestly, that first option sounds wonderful. Because I still think you’re as cuddly as can be,”she said, grinning.

“ then cuddling it is. Toaci are you joining? “ he asked the small her and it chipped happily. Keigo sat up and scooted back on his bed, pulling Amelia into his lap and the blanket over them.

Amelia laughed, then snuggled against Keigo, wrapping an arm around him. She moaned contentedly as he pulled the blanket over them.

“If I fall asleep, you’re probably going to have to wake me up,”she said, giggling.

“ I may sleep with you.” he said honestly. Toaci snuggled up with Amelia. Content with himself.

Amelia giggled again.

“Then the crew might have to deal with us being late,”she replied with an amused smile.

She chuckled at Toaci, gently petting him.

“Hi, Toaci.”

“ they won't let me work if I seize in the morning. Something about a bad omen” he mumbled. Keigo kissed her head and eventually ran his fingers through her hair.

“Hmm… I don’t know about the omen, obviously, but… that most likely means we can hang out all day. And I know I’m rather comfortable right here,”she said, chuckling.

She smiled at the kiss, then chuckled as he brushed his hand through her hair.

“If you want, you can take the braid out. I usually braid it for simplicity’s sake, just because I have a lot of hair,”she mumbled, chuckling again.

Keigo shrugged, undoing the hair tie and the braid. He smiled a little, “ I wouldn't mind if we cuddled all day either. I'd keep you warm..”

A shiver passed up Amelia’s spine and she giggled, savoring the sensation of him untying her hair. She couldn’t remember the last time someone else had done that, and her ex had never volunteered. She then fluffed out her long, thick hair a bit, unfazed as it scattered all over shoulders and back.

“We’d keep each other, and Toaci of course, warm,”she commented, petting the bird as she mentioned him.

“ he's seemed to take a liking to you,” he said while wrapping his arms around her. Keigo nuzzled her softly and sighed happily.

Amelia smiled,”He has, hasn’t he? He’s really sweet… like someone else I know.”

She laid her hand on one of his, caressing it a moment. She giggled again as he nuzzled her, then moaned in agreement with his sigh.

Keigo felt her hand move along his and smiled softly. He put his hand in hers, intertwining their fingers.

Amelia giggled as their hands entwined, then closed her eyes, focusing on the sound of his heartbeat and breathing. Such simple sounds brought comfort to her, and she savored every moment of it.

Toaci had gone to sleep, saying on Amelia's shoulder.

Amelia breifly opened her eyes and glanced at Toaci, chuckling.

“He is adorable,”she said quietly, not wanting to wake up Toaci.

“ he is, it's why I got him. “ he said. Keigo used his free hand to hold around Amelia, yawning slightly.

Amelia smiled, then yawned as well.

“Damn it, you made me yawn,”she playfully scolded, chuckling.

“Your punishment is more cuddles, even though I fully expect to yawn again,”she added, snickering.

As if on cue, she did yawn again. She giggled, then settled back where she had been. She rubbed his arm with her free hand, debating a nap.

Keigo laughed softly. “ whatever you say.” he said with a cheerful grin.

Amelia giggled, grinning wide. She snuggled against him a bit more, then closed her eyes again. She then started to doze off, still giggling up until she fell asleep.

Keigo yawns and fell asleep, holding her closer and propping toaci.

(I’m adding something new, just to see what happens. I don’t mean to darken this up, but I got inspired)

A flash of fire and a thunderous boom. Then, the sight of her beloved adoptive father dead on the floor. She stared at him absently for seemed like hours, before a hand grabbed her and a familiar dagger held by an even more familiar man tore open her neck and side. She screamed in pain.

Amelia woke with a jolt and a gasp, the pain from the dream lingering in her neck. She coiled, pressing a hand against the scar, and started to cry. She had forgotten about Keigo and Toaci, and was currently oblivious to where she was.

Keigo had put toaci back but heard Emma start crying. He held her close, “ hey.. Hey. I got you,” he said pulling her to his chest and rubbing her back.

Amelia flinched as Keigo grabbed her, but she quickly realized who he was, and who he was not, and wrapped around him, burying her face into his chest as she continued to cry.

“ Amelia.. What's going on? Sid something happen?”

When Keigo said her real name, it caught her attention. He had called her Amelia, such a sweet sound coming from his lips. A small smile breifly appeared on her face, though she doubted he’d see it.

“… Nightmare. I’ve… had nightmares… since I was little,”she said, trying to calm down, and mostly failing.
