Keigo sighed and placed his forehead on hers. “ I understand, no reason to talk about it if you don't wanna. “ he ran his fingers through her hair again, just trying to comfort her.

“I don’t know why it came again. I haven’t… had a dream like… this in months,”she said.

Her mind drifted back to the last image, of her ex attacking her. Another wave of tears threatened to pour over, and she clung to Keigo, hoping it would go away before it started.

“ Amelia, you don't have to say anything.. “ he said softly, his Emerald eyes locking with hers.

“You’re the first person I’ve met that seems to understand, and… I don’t know what to do. These dreams… memories, scare me sometimes. Some don’t really bother me, but others… the reminder that it actually happened, and… the sensation like it just happened again. I absolutely hate it,”Amelia said, needing to say something, if only to distract herself from her tears.

She shakily met his eyes, silently pleading him to understand, to not let go of her, to comfort her.

Keigo knew exactly what she meant. Holding her close.

Amelia held him tight, terrified by the idea that Keigo would betray her just like all the ones before him. She didn’t like that possibility, and didn’t want to think about, so she focused on the sound of his heartbeat and breathing again. She savored the sensation of his arms around her.

As the minutes went by, she slowly calmed down.

“ I love you. You know know that right?” he mumbled to her. “ you can trust me.”

Amelia chuckled, enjoying the sound of his voice.

“We’ve only been near each other a few days and you already love me. That is so sweet. Though, I can’t say I don’t agree. You are just too lovable to be without,”she replied softly.

She took a deep breath, expelling as much of the remaining tension in her body as she could. She then shifted a bit, still holding him in a tight hug.

Keigo kissed her head “ you are just the same. “ he said, holding her a little tighter

Amelia giggled at his words, moaning contently as he held her tighter.

“I’m glad you think so.”

Keigo sighed happily. “ and said I was the cuddly one” he said with a chuckle

Amelia giggled.

“I’ve been hanging out with you. Your cuddly nature is rubbing off on me,”she joked, snickering.

“ is it? I wouldn't do something like that” he said with fake innocence

Amelia laughed.

“I know better. You’re too lovable and cuddly to not do that.”

“ don know who lied to you!” he said laughing

Amelia laughed even more.

“Well, if it’s a lie, then it’s a good one indeed. Because I’m wholeheartedly convinced,”she replied.

Keigo stuck his pierced tongue out

Amelia stuck her half flesh/half mechanical tongue out at him in reply, then burst into laughter again.

“ okay Amelia, what do ya wanna do next?”

“I don’t know. I am a little hungry, but I also don’t want to move. And I like the way you say ‘Amelia’. You make it sound so… I don’t know, unique,”she said softly.

Keigo tilted his head “ do I now?” he asked rhetorically. At this point toaci woke back up “ Amelia! Emma! Same person!” he called and clicked his beak a few times.

“Yes, you do,”Amelia replied, despite his rhetorical tone.

She pecked Keigo on the cheek, then turned, laughing at Toaci’s words.

“The same person indeed, beautiful Toaci!”she said.

“ toaci beautiful?! Noo” the bird chirped
Keigo flushed a dark red at Amelia's kiss.

“Yes, you are. You’re a beautiful, pretty, adorable bird, Toaci,”Amelia replied.

She then noticed Keigo’s blush and laughed, blushing slightly.

Keigo hid his face, not looking at her.
Taoci bobbed his head up and down “ pretty bird, pretty bird!”

Amelia giggled.

“I think it’s already too late to hide. I saw that blush,”she teased.

She then turned to Toaci.

“Indeed. You are a very pretty bird.”

“ a man can try” keigo mumbled.

Amelia turned back to Keigo, giggling some more.

“And I thought I was the shy one,”she teased him again.

Keigo face got a little more reder “ you really are beautiful yah know.” He said with a small smile.

Amelia blushed at his comment, giggling.

“And you really are handsome,”she replied, grinning. She blushed even more as she said that.
