Jas stood with the bowl in hand and walked over to the sink, stealing a quick kiss from Connor. "Thank you for dinner, dear. It was really good. I'll clean up while you finish up and shower." He smiled softly and went to go clean the dishes as well as put the extra ramen in Tupperware for tomorrow. He hummed softly as he worked around the kitchen, an older song he had always liked in his past life. "So what's for desert?" He asked, glancing over his shoulder to Connor
"Desert?" he questioned before swallowing the noodles still in his mouth. "You still want dessert?" He hummed in while he finished up his ramen with a nice sigh. Connor placed his bowel in the sink, leaning on Jas's shoulder. "Well, what do you want your dessert to me. I could order ice cream, maybe a pie, or an ice cream cake." He looked over his shoulder looking at Jas cleaning the dishes. "They tend to stain easily so make sure you really wash them," Connor instructed.
He laughed "yeah. I like desert." He gently pressed a kiss to Connor's head and nodded "anything you'd like love." He murmured, making sure to scrub at the dishes well to get out the stains. "I'm always down for some ice cream cake. Maybe a small one so it's not so much of a waste or takes up space in the fridge." He suggested, gently nudging Connor up so that he could dry his hands
"Okay then, Ice cream cake it is. How about you order it and I will go take a shower okay?" Connor kissed his cheek before moving towards the bathroom. He has opened the door seeing the fancy glass door he always saw when he took his showers. He turned on the hot water taking off his slightly damp clothes. He made sure to shut the door before fully stripping down and letting himself be taken away by the warm water.
Has gently nuzzled back "alright." Has finished cleaning the last of the dishes then was set if finding someone who actually delivered ice cream cakes. He eventually found a restaurant that did deliveries on most of their menue items, including a miniature chocolate icecream cake, usually for larger celebrations but Jas thought it'd be perfect. Once he ordered the cakes, Has sprawlt out on the couch to rest, soon, accidentally falling asleep.
Connor came out of the shower fully dressed and stretching out like a cat. "Hey kitty have you found a-" he looked over to the couch where Jas had looked like he fell asleep. Connor went quiet and tiptoes over to the sound sitting on the edge. He reaches over to Jas's hair combing it back softly with a giggle fallowing. He kissed his Kitty's forehead before giving a heavy sigh. "I can't believe like 2 weeks ago I was right you and cursing you out on the street every time I saw you. Now, I just kissed your forehead and you're sleeping on my couch. Time sure does fly by. Especially when you're having fun." Connor rubbed Jas's cheek gently with his thumb. "pst…no falling asleep, you said you wanted dessert." he whispered, give a soft kiss to his lips. It was longer than a peck but no longer than 10 seconds.
Jas slowly awoke, leaning into the gentle hand at his cheek. He hummed softly, blinking fully awake as Connor pressed a kiss to his lips. He mowed softly as Connor pulled away and slowly sat up. "Hm, I didn't mean to fall asleep, sorry dear." He muttered, gently wrapping his arms around Connor's waist and pulling him into his lap. "You smell nice." He murmured, nestling his head against Connor's neck. "Did the ice cream cakes come yet?" He asked, suddenly remembering he had ordered dessert. "Think I can squeeze in a shower before they arrive?"
He squeaked when he was moved onto Jas's lap unexpectedly. "I hate that you can do that and don't worry about it Kitty." he hummed when his neck was nuzzled. "Thank you, I think I smell nice too. I didn't know you ordered already though." He leaned into Jas's touch loving the warmth he felt even though he smelled like the great outdoors. "I think you have time to squeeze in a shower. I'll watch the door to make sure the cakes are picked up. You,however…" he ran his fingers through Jas's hair, stroking his head just the way Jas likes it. "…seem like you don't want to move, but you should because you do not smell that good."
He chuckled lightly "hush, you love my unsuspecting hugs." He teased, purring softly as Connor pet his hair, eyes fluttering shut and ears flattening. "No, I really don't." He replied, nuzzling Connor's cheek. "But someone is whining about my scent so I guess I have to." He wricklwd his nose and pressed a sweet kiss to Connor's cheek. "Alright, I'll be back soon." He promised, gently nusmdhing Connor onto the couch and standing up to go shower. "I'm using your soap by the way!" He called before finding his clothes from home and closing the bathroom door behind him.
"Have fun, but not too much fun! Make sure not to drop it!" he joked. He decided to tidy up a bit even though it was as tidy as can be. Soon enough the cakes came while Jas was still in the shower. He thanked the man leaving a tip before locking the door back. He was going to wait by the counter but instead, he decided to take the cakes to the balcony. He looked out into the night sky after setting the cakes don on the small table with two chairs. He looked out into the city, looking at all the bring lights. He started to hum a piano song that he loved to play called "Clair De lune" while he waited.
Jas chuckled lightly at Connor's comment before he jumped in the shower, reveling in the warm water. He took a half an hour shower, thinking that was long enough to both enjoy the shower and for the ice cream cakes to get there. He stepped out of the shower and dressed in a black fluffy pj crop top and matching pants. He shook out his hair and ears, getting them mostly dry before tidying up and going backoutside. Has looked around a bit for Connor, having not found him in the living room or kitchen. He eventually caught sight of him out on the balcony. "It's pretty." He murmured softly, taking in the night sky veiw before settling down across from Connor
"I know…" He hummed. "Well, the cakes are here, if you didn't notice…" He didn't move his head and kept looking out into the night. Connor poked his shoulder annoyingly before walking over to the table with the cakes sitting on top. "How was your shower? You smell nicer than before." he teased. Connor gave Jas a light kiss on the cheek, walking over to the table. He pulled out a chair for Jas, gesturing for him to sit. "Let's enjoy tonight. I know that today is a sad day but, we have ice cream cake and a beautiful city slash suburb area…I don't exactly know what to call this, but it's pretty. Also, where did you mange to find a place who sells mini ice cream cakes at this hour?"
Jas laughed softly and leaned into the kiss "thank you dear." Before settling down, he went to the kitchen to find knives and spoons to eat the ice cream cake with, passing them to Connor as well. "A restaurant had them on the to-go dessert menu and offered delivery. A bit over priced if you ask me but it's fine and they both came in one piece so I can't complin all that much." He cut himself a slice of cake, not really wanting to eat the entire cake all in one sitting, even if it was a miniature one. "I went with neopoletan since I didn't know what's you like." He explained, glancing back out onto the cityscape for a moment before digging into the ice cream cake
"It's perfect." He took a small spoonful from the came and held the spoon in his mouth. He sucked on both the spoon and the ice cream. "Seems like a very efficient restaurant if you ask me. I would've given up and ran to ShopRite or CVS and get some ice cream." Connor sighed taking in another spoonful of ice cream. "So, what are you going to do for the next weeks. I'm very busy for the next couple weeks. I'm also really hoping you won't do illegal things so I won't have to arrest you again, but alas it's only a wish," he said in a joking tone.
"it certainly does, love." Has replied, humming softly when he had his first bite of ice cream. "This is actually really good, I'm surprised they kept it from melting all the way here." He mused, laughing lightly at Connor's comments. "Hush, you'll miss me at work, I was the only thing keeping you entertained half the time. But I'll try, No promises though sweetheart, old, let alone lives of habits, die hard." He raised an eyebrow at Connor, teasingly smiling at his beloved. "I don't know, it almost sounds as if you missed it. Did you enjoy having me at your mercy?" He asked, resting his head against his hand.
Connor blushed, but lightly tapped Jas's arm. "Don't look at me like that." he shook his head with a smile staining his face. "You're right about you making my day entertaining. I do miss you…at work…a lot" Connor cleared his throat. "But you are wrong when you said that you're at my mercy. You were never at my mercy…" He scoffed, stuffing his mouth with ice cream so he wouldn't say anything else. He refused to make eye contact.
Jas's eyes softened and lightly laced their hands together. "Well think of it this way. After a long day of boring work, you get to come home to me and relax." He laughed lightly and pressed a sweet kiss to the back of Connor's hand. "I am, my heart. I really am. I'd do almost anything for you my love. Including complimenting you so that you blush uncontrollably." Watching Connor for a moment as he became flustered with an amused grin before he went back to eating, subconsciously rubbing his thumb along the back of connor's hand
"You can't say things like that. Honestly, you're so embarrassing." He paused and thought about how he would come home to Jas every day. His chest hurt in a good way as a warm feeling filled his body. "You don't have to compliment me to fluster me, it only happens around you." Connor was halfway done with his cake when he dug into it once more. "However, I do like the idea of coming home to you every day…well almost every day, that is if I don't pass out from exhaustion."
"only around you, sweetheart." He echoed with a wink as he went back to eating his slice of cake. He arched an eyebrow and tilted his head. "Should I be worried about you suddenly passing out on your way home?" He asked, slight worry in his voice. He pressed his lips to the back of Connor's hand again, brows creased in worry as he gazed up at his beloved. "You'll always wake up in a warm bed with me right beside you. no matter what." He promised softly
"No, no, even if I did get really tired I would probably just fall asleep at my desk. If I do think I'm going to pass out on my way home, I'll make sure you'll know. If you're so worried." he teased. "Sometimes they work me too hard and I end up sleeping there instead of at home. Top hero work." Connor scofed. He finally finished his mini cake and smile contently. "Do you want to finish your cake, or should we head inside and warm up a bit." He offered. Connor gave Jas's hand a tight squeeze.
"hm, well either way I'll go and find you and bring you back here, or my place. Wherever you like. There's no way I'll be able to sleep peacefully withought you." He smiled lightly, bidding his head and standing with his now empty plate. "Yeah, it's getting a bit cold now, the ice cream is probably not helping either." He replied, soqueexing back back gently before letting go of Connor's hand and taking his plate. "Mind putting the cake in the fridge while I clean these up?" He asked, pressing a sweet kiss to Connor's cheek.
"Of course not," Connor took the cake from the table bringing it inside. He placed it in the freezer, making sure it fits correctly before pushing it closed. "I will be in the bed because I am very much tired. Once you are finished with those, you know where to find me." With that Connor had left to the bedroom. He tidied up a bit, putting his clothes in the hamper and making sure to clean up any rapers of empty chip bags. He looked around at the neat spread before climbing into bed. He made himself comfortable by turning on his side.
Jas nodded, watching Connor leave before finishing up the rest of the dishes, drying them, and putting them back in the cabinets. He tidyied up the living room a bit until everything was set back in it's place and neat. With a huffed sigh, he went around the home once more, closing and locking all the windows and doors before he shuffled back to Connor's room. He leaned against the doorframe for a moment, gazing at Connor curled up in the bed, peacefully resting. Jas smiled softly and crawled into the bed beside Connor, gently tucking him close to his form. He tangled his hand into his hair, the other lightly resting on the small of Connor's back. "Sweet dreams precious bird. I'll see you in the morning." He murmured, kissing his brow and drifting off to sleep
Today was one of Connor's short days the kind where he could sleep in before rushing off to work like he did every day. He simply opened his eyes, small beams of light shoot through the curtains and into his eyes. He felt a pair of arms around him from his backside. He turned over to Jas sleeping peacefully. Connor smiled to himself. He stretched his self do his lips could reach Jas's forehead. He would try to move away from Jas but evidently, he failed. He also didn't want to wake the other my struggling so he sighed and relaxed. "I have to make breakfast Jas…" he whispered to himself.
Jas meowed in protest and hugged Connor closer, nuzzling his face into his chest. His ears flicked in a appreciation at the kiss, warning Connor a light rumbling purr. "I don't need breakfast, I just need you." He murmured, snuggling into the comfortable bed even more now. "Just ten more minutes, then 10 more minutes after that." He mumbled drowsily. He reluctantly opened his eyes and let Connor fmgo for a moment to stretched, "morning sweetheart." He greeted softly, wrapping Connor in his arms again before he could escape. "Please don't make me beg for your cuddles, love. All I askfor is some quality time with the one I love, is that so much to ask for?" He pouted and gave Connor his best puppy eyes….cat-eyes? Have-pity-on-this-kitty- eyes.
"Good morning to you too." Connor wrapped his arms around Jas's neck. He games a heavy sigh, his eyes squinting at Jas's. "Fine…" he gave in. "Ten more minutes and then I get to eat my food." Connor gave him a light kiss on the lips. "A good morning kiss for my needy little kitty." He let himself relax in his arms. "You're always like this in the morning…I never get why, but then again I'm not complaining." He hummed. Their legs were tangled together under the sheets, so even if still wanted to get out it wouldn't have been easy. "I have a very short day today which is nice. Once I get home I think I might just pass out on my ben for the rest of the night." he exaggerated.
Has smiled softly, gently cupping Connor's cheek and kissing his love back. "I get like this because you're just so dang comfortable. Besides, could you really blame me for wanting to keep you all for myself? After all this lives of pining and watching from afar, finally I get to have you in my arms." He pressed a kiss to his brow. "When do you go into work today, hon? I was thinking of maybe meeting up with Suni and the others in a bit so you could meet them. But if you don't want to today, it's fine. We can always see them a day you're free." He suggested, blinking as he glanced up at the window. "Oh? And what about dinner?" He asked, running his hands through connor's hair
Connor could help but laugh. "Is that so? I'm happy I also get to be held by you since you are very comfortable." Connor hummed in thought. "Well I actually go into work at 3:15 today, so if you want to we can meet up with your friends before then. And dinner is completely irrelevant, we can just order pizza or something because I don't feel like cooking tonight. I've had a very long and stressful week. The only thing I desire is to relax with you. But I also like eating, so five more minutes and then I'll get up." Connor's eyes were fluttering shut when his hair was being combed through. "That feel nice," he cooed.
"alright, I'll call soon just to check in with them and see if they're up for it." He replied, letting out a little laugh. "Dinner is irrelevant yet you desperately want to eat something now." Has shook his head and kiss Connor's nose. "You are a mystery I will never figure out my heart." Jas teased, grinning softly as he massaged Connor's scalp. "Have I found your weak spot, dear?" He purred, tucking Connor close for more warmth. "Like that, don't you, pretty bird?"
"You always find my weak spots. For the record, morning food is always better than afternoon food. You don't have to understand it." he teased. "You're going to make me want to skip breakfast and work the more you hold me." He stretched. "Sadly enough I'm on call so if I have to leave in the middle of meeting your friends that's why. I think it's time to get up, as much as I love hugging you I would also like to get dressed for the day. My hair is also knotted and a mess and this is not easy to brush."
