"See the guy behind the bar?" Fen pointed out a young man with deep purple hair that shimmered in the light. "That's Apollo. Her twin brother. So transform him into a female and you'll get who we're looking for."
Ori laughed, squinting over at the guy for a few moments. "I didn't realize she was our age. That guy can't be two years older than I am."
"Oh, she is. She used to live in my old village but moved out about a year before I got exiled. She doesn't know what happened and I don't plan on telling her. I'm not quite sure when Apollo joined her though, I know he wasn't here when she first opened."
"Well good for her, getting situated out here so quickly." He tugged Archer down the last few steps, into the dining hall. "You two aren't half so established, not that I'm complaining."
"I'll choose not to take offense to that." Fen shot Ori an unamused glare before turning back to scan the dining room once again.
Ori laughed and wandered over to peck him on the cheek. "You're so kind, Fen. Out of curiosity, why haven't you and Archer set up shop somewhere?"
"Ask Archer. He's the one who won't let us." "Well, I guess that's true. I have a hard time staying in one place for too long. It gets boring and I have a bit of wanderlust."
"Well that's fair, darling, but what're you going to do when we get old?" He smiled over at Archer, leaning over to kiss him on the cheek. "We won't be able to adventure forever."
"Then we will simply wander the lands, going where the wind takes us." Archer motioned dramatically as he spoke. "Hope you brought good walking shoes with you Ori, I've already resoled mine twice." Fen snorted with a roll of his eyes.
Ori just laughed, linking one arm through Archer's and one arm through Fen's. "I'm prepared to walk, lovely." He turned to Archer, smiling playfully. "I just hope you know that you're the one who has to carry Fen and I when we get all old and feeble."
"Oh please! Fen's the healer. If anything, he'll be the one carrying us." Archer laughed as Fen shook his head with a smile. "Can't say you're wrong on that one."
Ori shook his head. "No way, Fen's the one who deserves the biggest break. We're definitely gonna be the ones carrying him everywhere, and he can heal us from the comfort of our arms."
"Don't threaten me with a good time." Fen chuckled. "Now come on, we're looking for someone, aren't we?"
(Hey I'm going to take a couple weeks off. I've been running pretty low on inspiration, and I want to give this rp the attention and energy it deserves, so I'm taking a little bit of time away so I can recoup.)
(No problem! Take as much time as you need, recharge those writing batteries!)
(thanks for being so understanding!)
.
"It's not a threat if we're actually gonna follow through." Being able to lean over and kiss Fen on the cheek still felt unreal. "But yeah, we've got stuff to do."
"Hmm…there! In the back corner!" Archer pointed to the woman they were looking for and Fen smiled. "She's just as pretty as usual. I'd be surprised if she hasn't found someone yet."
Ori craned his neck to look over at the woman they were talking about, smiling as he caught sight of her. "Oh, she is pretty! Let's go ask if she's got any jobs."
"No, I'll go ask. You two stay here and don't break anything." Fen stepped away from his two idiots and went to go ask Dilena.
Archer pouted. "He's no fun when he's tired."
Ori just laughed, tugging Archer over to one of the tables so they could sit and completely disregarding Fen's instructions. "Yeah but he's cute when he's grumpy. Not a major loss at all."
"I mean I guess so but he's still mean about it." Archer grumbled with a pout as he watched his boyfriend talk with the woman. "She really is pretty, I think her brother only came out because he wanted someone to be there to protect her but she refuses to hire any help."
"He's mean to you, you mean." Ori glanced back at the woman for a moment and then, apparently having decided that Archer was more interesting, turned back to his boyfriend with a sweet little smile. "He's just minorly pissy with me. I think he's still worried I'll leave or something."
"Probably. But once he's sure, he'll start really treating you the way he treats me. It's a comfort thing, honestly." Archer shrugged, watching Fen closely.
"I'm looking forward to it, honestly." He scooted closer. "It kind of freaks me out when he gets all in his head about… us."
Archer turned back to Ori with a slightly confused expression. "What do you mean exactly?"
"He handles me with kid gloves Archer, and it's not exactly hard to tell why." He sighed quietly, glancing over at Fen. "He's worried. It's like he doubts himself every time he starts to think this'll work out."
"Well, he told you what happened, right? His home village was already appaled with him being gay, being poly on top of it was the icing on the cake. He doubts himself because he doesn't want anyone to try and rip away what he's worked so hard to get again."
"I know, I know." Ori glanced back at Archer, giving him a weak smile. "It's not like I blame him, I just… I wish he could feel comfortable with me, you know? It sucks feeling like I'm on the outs when all three of us are supposed to be… together, I guess."
"Well you're not on the outside with me!" Archer giggled. "Give Fen a few days, he'll relax. But for now, you can get all the love you could ever ask for with me!"
