Lila looked Faye in the eyes, "Promise ne you won't freak out okay? Or or hate me."

"But they're hungry. I get hungry sometimes and I can't think straight. Besides," Calla's face lit up in a smile, "we're nice people, right?"

Faye nodded slowly. “I promise I won’t, and I definetly won’t hate you,” she said in a soft tone.

Ronan ran a hand over his face. How could he explain to Calla that that was just how Corsai were. Their hunger was never fully satisfied. But he would deal with it jus to please Calla. “Okay, we can find them.”

Lila quietly whispered, "I'm half Sunai."

"Yay!" Calla gave him a tight hug and grabbed his hand, "Let's go!"

Faye seemed taken aback by that. She hand’t been expecting it to be anything like that. Her mouth had opened in surprise, but she shut it quickly. “Is that even possible?” She asked.

Ronan put a hand on Calla’s shoulder to steady her. “Woah there. I don’t know if it’s such a good idea to go out now. It’s dark, and that’s not safe.”

Lila nodded, "I mean I don't have any of the abilities. Just an iron allergy that is the most irritating thing in the world."

"It's always dark for me." Calla said, gazing at Ronan in that unnerving way, like she was gazing into a different world. "We need to go apologize. They'll be gone."

“Who’s going to be gone?” Avi asked, walking in.

Faye nodded slowly. She wasn’t sure how to contemplate what she was just told. “I didn’t think that Sunai could even have children..”

Ronan shook his head to himself. That wasn’t the point. When it was actually dark, it was very dangerous. He looked over at Avi when she came in. “Calla wants to go find the Corsai.”

Ori continued to walk, or rather glide next to the Malchai, feeling a sense of, what was the word again, peace. That's what this feeling is, peace. He quite enjoys it.

"I will." Calla bolted to the stairs, tripping on the top step and tumbling down to the bottom. "I'm okay!" she yelled, before running again, but tripping every 10 seconds.

She exhaled and slowly started to follow. “I can go with her if you want to get some rest,” she called over her shoulder.

"Apparently the males can," Lila said.

"Corsai people! Come back!" Calla yelled, not knowing where she was going. "Please!?"

“Calls!” She called, rushing forward and grabbing her hand. “You’re going the wrong way.”

"I WANT TO FIND THE CORSAI SO I CAN APOLOGIZE!!" Calla screamed, wrenching her hand away and running, but she tripped over a tree stump and fell onto her back.

“I know, sweetie,” she said, helping her up. “I meant that they went the other way.”

Faye ran a hand through her hair. “Oh gosh.. How did you find out?” She asked.

“Keep her safe!” Ronan called to Avi before slouching heavily. He rested his head in his hands, letting his eyes shut. He felt mentally drained.

"O-okay." Calla nodded, taking Avi's hand.

"I knew my dad," Lila told Faye, "before. He uh died again."

She led Calla towards where Calixto and - Ori, was it? - had gone.

"Do you see them?" Calla asked, jumping up and down.

Calixto felt it was kind of odd for the two not to be talking, but wasn't going to make an effort to do so. It was Ori's idea to follow him, not his. Even though he invited him. It was better than leaving him with the others who were either afraid, or hated the Corsai. He thought back to Ronan and scowled.
"I'm just pissed off with the way that stupid Sunai talked to you. I get I tried to attack you an' all, but that's only 'cause I thought you were like normal Corsai."

"HELLO!!" Calla called, running towards the direction Avi had pointed her towards. She collided into a figure and she fell back onto the forest floor, scraping her knees.

Startled by the impact, he whipped around quickly. He tried to make his stance less threatening when he saw it was the youngest of the Corsai. Even though she couldn't see…
"Uh, hi?"

Calla stood up and threw herself at the figure, wrapping her arms around the figure's legs and sobbing.
