He shook his head softly. "No, you- you can't just appear." His voice took on a gentler tone. Whoever this boy was, something had happened to him. Something bad. How he was so cheery about all this, Luca had no idea. Even if he didn't remember, that had to be equally terrifying, but this stranger didn't seem afraid. "W-why aren't you scared?" He searched for any trace of fear or nervousness on the stranger, but there wasn't any. Only a bit of confusion. All of Luca's instincts were telling him not to go to the hospital. He knew it was the logical thing to do, but frankly nothing about this situation was logical. The police seemed like an even worse idea. He doubted his nerves would even allow him to explain what had happened to any authorities. Maybe going home was the best course of action? His parents wouldn't notice if he came home with an extra, after all…

"Why? Is there something I should be scared of?" He glanced out the window once, half expecting to see some beast or monster materialize out there somewhere. But… nope. Nothing suspicious or odd. He peered through the glass for several seconds, then turned back to Luca expectantly. "I'm not sure what there is to be afraid of. All I saw out there was a funny little hobo with colorful socks. Ooh, look— buttons!" The boy said this last part as he pressed one of the buttons on the radio and turned the bass volume up— probably by accident since it was a safe bet to say he had no idea what he was doing.

"N-no, not really, but I-" Luca flinched as the previously soft song blasted through the car, quickly reaching forward to undo what the other had done. He sighed heavily, leaning back in his seat. "…Nevermind. Uhm, change of plans. We probably shouldn't go to the hospital." He eyed the stranger for a moment, seeing how he reacted to this statement. Luca was still nervous about all of this, but he felt like just going home would be a better idea. He could research how amnesia and stuff worked, and if he realized he had made a stupid decision, they could always go to the hospital then.

(hi sorry I disappeared for a second there)

"Oh, okay." The stranger flipped down the visor and almost flinched when he saw the mirror. "Whoa—" He poked at it for a second before he glanced at Luca, blinking a few times. "Why not? Didn't you say they'd… tell me something about what I'm supposed to be remembering or… something?" He tilted his head to the side in slight confusion, though he didn't seem to have any true objections. "Where are we going, then?"

(no worries!)

"Well, uhm." He exhaled slowly, trying to calm himself. Maybe he'd just read too much science fiction lately. Could he be making this up? This boy seemed… strange. Something about all this was off, though Luca couldn't put his finger on it. How did he even begin to explain that to a stranger that he just met? "I-I feel like this is a different situation." That was better than nothing, at the least. "I thought we could go b-back to my house. I can get you some food, fresh clothes and stuff, and I'll do some research on amnesia." He clicked his own seatbelt into place before awkwardly gesturing at the other boy's to try and cue him to buckle his as well.

"Oh, food would be great." He hadn't eaten much since he'd woken up, and he could definitely use something good right about now. He… couldn't actually remember what tasted good, but he knew that something must've. And that he was hungry for it, whatever it was. "I haven't been to anybody's house before. That'll be fun, right?" He blinked a few times at Luca's gesture to the seatbelt before he picked up on it. "Oh, you mean this? What is this for?" He grabbed the belt and started pulling it out. "Whoa— it just keeps going and going—" He pulled it as far as it would go and looked a little disappointed when it finally stopped.

Luca watched the boy play with the seatbelt for a moment, an expression of slight amusement on his face. He felt a bit guilty for finding it endearing since it was from memory loss, but if he was right in his theory that something bigger was going on…

"Uh- here." He awkwardly reached over and gently buckled the seatbelt for his passenger, desperately avoiding eye contact. "Uh. It's for safety. In case something goes wrong." Both seatbelts now buckled, Luca slowly began driving. "F-for the record, in most cases, you p-probably shouldn't jump into a random person's car." Now was hardly time for a 'stranger danger' talk, but… it kinda was.

(very soft, gentle bump with absolutely no pressure ^^)

@Aizawa-Sensei group

(ahhh thank you for bumping this because I'm brain dead and had forgotten -.-)

He tilted his head to the side, arching a brow in confusion. "I shouldn't?" He glanced around the inside of the vehicle, then back at Luca. Hadn't Luca told him to get into the vehicle? "Why? Is something gonna go wrong?" He continued to tug at the seatbelt, let it retract, and tug at it again on a repetitive basis. Something about it was oddly satisfying.

(Np! :D)
"Well, uhm. Some people might try to trick you into going somewhere with them, and then hurt you once they get you to trust them." He really, really wasn't the right person to teach this guy about street smarts, but honestly Luca would rather awkwardly teach the strange boy than leave him on the street to fend for himself, where someone would eventually come along and take advantage of him.

"Oh. That sounds kind of rude," the boy responded far too casually. It was still fairly apparent that he had no concept of danger. "Where would they trick me into going?" Before Luca could reply, the guy glanced through the window and spotted a dog trotting along the sidewalk. "Look!" He excitedly jabbed his pointer finger against the window, leaving a little smudge there. "An animal!" He paused, as if it took him a second to even identify what that animal was. "A dog!" He waved enthusiastically at the little mutt. The dog did not wave back.

Luca bit back a laugh at the boy's child-like excitement, glancing out the window at the dog trotting happily along the sidewalk. "Yeah, there are a lot of those around here." He was taking so many mental notes about the stranger's odd behavior, he practically had a whole book already.
He didn't want to get into too much detail and spoil the boy's surprisingly good mood, so he kept his explanation as basic as possible. "I dunno. Depends on the person I guess. You should just be careful, and… y'know. Make sure someone has the right intentions before letting them take you somewhere."

(I am irrationally excited for these two to get to Luca's house-)
