"Mmm~… wanna go get it now, then? I know there's one close to here." Kansei sat up in anticipation in case Makoto said yes. "We can just drive over and we should be back here within like… ten or fifteen minutes tops."

"Hell yeah, let's do it," Makoto said. He snickered and then added, "I frankly don't care how long it takes. As long as we get to do it together, I'm definitely all for it." He smiled warmly, then adjusted the rose in his hair again. "It'll be my treat. I saved up some money; I had a feeling we'd do something like this sometime, so I made sure I didn't spend any of my money recklessly. Yeah, the stuff there is cheap, but y'know… You gotta be prepared."
"Alrighty." Kansei smiled softly and got to their feet, stretching a bit with a yawn. "What're you gonna get?" They asked, reaching out one hand to help Makoto to his feet. "I like the fudge stuffed cookie, but I dunno… maybe I'll be adventurous this time. Probably not."
"I'll probably get a Red Velvet Blizzard. Sounds good enough to me." Makoto said, getting up as well.

Kansei nodded a bit and headed outside with Makoto. "Do you wanna drive, or do you want me to?" They asked, grabbing their keys just in case. "I'm fine to do either, honestly. Whichever you prefer is perfectly fine."
"Yeah I- I'm still working on my reckless driving," Makoto replied, laughing embarrassedly. "I think you should drive. I'm still touching up on my speed and all."
"Alright, alright. I'm the responsible one here, I guess." They kissed Makoto's cheek and headed out to their car, getting into the driver's seat. "But you're not allowed to complain about me driving slow. I'm usually going five over the speed limit and that's plenty."
"Yeah yeah, I get it," Makoto said, walking out to the car and getting in the passenger's seat. He buckled his seatbelt. "I usually end up going nearly 10 over and I don't even realize it until I've got the speeding ticket in my hands." Makoto let out another laugh.
Kansei buckled themself in and started driving, humming along to the song on the radio. They made sure to use their blinker for every turn, and never had the music particularly loud. "What do you want?" They asked once they had made it to Dairy Queen.
"I'll go with a Red Velvet blizzard. I'm sticking to what my gut wants and it's sayin' it wants Red Velvet," he replied, patting himself on the stomach jokingly. "I just have a weird craving for something Red Velvet right now for some reason."
"Alright." Kansei ordered the food and pulled around, handing Makoto his blizzard when it was given to them. They thanked the worker and drove off, heading back home. "Does that look and taste right to you?" They asked.
Makoto took a close look at the blizzard he ordered. "Yeah, so far it looks right," he said, followed by him actually taste-testing it. "Mmh. Mhm, it tastes right too. Definitely correct."
Kansei nodded a bit and parked the car. "Great. Let's head in and keep watching our true crime or whatever." They grabbed their box from Dairy Queen and headed upstairs, flopping onto the couch once they got there.
Makoto nodded and followed behind them. "Yeah." When they both got to the couch, Makoto sat down beisde them. "Man, this is the most fun I've had in a while."
Kansei smiled softly, resting their head on Makoto's shoulder as they ate their cookie. "Yeah, it's nice… do you wanna keep watching this one, or do you wanna watch a different one?" They asked, picking up the remote.
"Hmm… maybe a different one. Yeah, let's do that," he replied, wrapping his arm back around Kansei like he had been doing earlier.
"Mmkay." Kansei switched the show and soon finished their cookie, leaving the trash on the coffee table for the time being. "I love you…" They murmured softly.
"I love you too," Makoto said, meanwhile managing to use his one free hand to finish off his blizzard. He placed the trash on the coffee table and pulled Kansei a bit closer.
Kansei huddled up in Makoto's lap, yawning a bit and resting their head on his shoulder. "What time is it?" They asked. "It feels later than it probably is…"
"Mh- I'll check," he said, pulling his phone out and checking the time. "It's only like… 12:30 pm or something. I seriously need to change my wallpaper, I can barely read the time with this background."
"Mmm… 12:30 noon or 12:30 like… after midnight? Because Midnight is am…" Kansei yawned again and hummed softly to themself, looking back up at the TV. "I'm tired, but I probably shouldn't be…"
"Noon, yeah," Makoto responded, whilst working to change his phone wallpaper like he said he would. "Okay and… There we go. Yeah, it's 12:36 P.M. I usually get at least a bit tired around this time, so it's no big deal if you're feelin' like that."
"Mm…" Kansei huddled a bit closer. "What're we gonna do for the rest of the day?" They asked. "We've still got ages to do things. Lunch, dinner… sleep, eventually. What do you wanna do?"
"Mmh… Maybe we can go to, like… a park or something. Or I can try and see if there's any fun events goin' on today," he said, turning his phone back on and searching through Google to see if he could find something.
"Yeah, sure. Maybe we can go to an aquarium or something, I dunno." Kansei shrugged a bit and watched as Makoto searched through his phone. "I think there's one kinda close, but that also requires spending money, and that's eugh…"
"Yeah, true. And there's not really much going on today, so I guess we'll just stick to TV for now," Makoto said, scrolling through the search menu on Google.
"Sounds good to me." Kansei kept close to Makoto, turning their attention back to the TV. "Maybe we should watch a movie. Are there any you've been wanting to see lately?"
"Meh, I dunno. I haven't seen many interesting movie trailers lately. Last one I saw was one for this really bad cheesy romcom. It said it was a parody, but it felt way too accurate to the pride-and-true romcoms to be just a slapstick parody," he said, turning his phone off and putting it in his front jean pocket.
"Yeah, I guess so. Maybe we could just keep watching the TV show, then." Kansei shrugged a bit. "We might get kinda sick of it after a while, though, so we should probably start thinking of other things we could watch."
"Yeah, I suppose we should." Makoto began thinking of what else the two could watch. "Mmh… Maybe we can watch a comedy show after. Like… The Office or something."
