"The place where my dad was from," she said with a slight somber tone, "he used to tell stories about it all the time before he died; he told me it was called Pantala."

"Isn't Pantala the lost continent? With HiveWings, LeafWings (now extinct), and SilkWings?"

"Yeah," she said, "I didn't know you guys knew that much about them. I heard about it from my dad, who lived there when he was younger. He was a Leafwing."

Rage looked around. "There's something I should tell you." She said, lifting her claws. "I'm part HiveWing." (I know I said she was a SkyWing, but now I'm making her a SkyWing/HiveWing hybrid.)

"Wait," Decay said, "If Scarlet's your mother, doesn't that mean Ruby is your sister? I thought she was full skywing."

"She is. Scarlet isn't my biological mother. A HiveWing is."

"Oh," Decay said with a somber hint to her voice, "What happened to her?"

"Scarlet attacked the HiveWings, taking my egg and injuring my mother. She killed my father, a SkyWing."

"Oh," Decay said, sorrow taking her voice over, "I'm so sorry for your loss."

"I didn't even know him, so it's fine." She scraped her talons across the stone, throwing small sparks around.

"Lucky," Decay said with a bit of a hiss, "I remember that, when I lost my dad, it felt like my mind was on fire. My mom putting me through the diamond trial not too long after didn't help either."

Rage tapped the pavement. "Well, it's a good thing Prince Winter released Foeslayer from the Diamond Trial cave."

"Yeah," Decay said with a sigh, "I wouldn't have been able to escape if he hadn't."

Rage noticed the skeleton blushing. "Ooh, thinking of Error again?" She teased.

The hybrid princess looked thoughtful for a moment, then nodded, landing on the dirt.
