Larkin jumped around a bit, his claws clicking on the tiles of the kitchen. He bounded around Samul's feet, tail wagging as he barked loudly at him.
Larkin jumped around a bit, his claws clicking on the tiles of the kitchen. He bounded around Samul's feet, tail wagging as he barked loudly at him.
Samul laughed some as he watched Larkin, looking up. Checking to make sure it was cool enough, he grabbed a biscuit, tossing it at Larkin to distract the wolf as he gathered up the rest.
Larkin swallowed the treat, seemingly without even chewing it, and hopped around at Samul's feet to whine for more. He had a lot of energy and really just wanted to run around, but it wasn't a good idea to let a wolf run around in the streets.
No, but Samul had a solution for that. He scratched Larkin's head, moving out to the living room. He started pushing the furniture to the walls, leaving a large open space in the living room. Samul… wasn't going to be taking Larkin outside any time soon.
Larkin bounded after Samul while he pushed the furniture, howling at him. When the space was open, he ran around in circles, chasing his tail and rolling over himself.
Samul laughed as Larkin started to play in the open around, going to the side to grab the rope toy before coming back. He pulled another treat out, tossing it for Larkin.
Larkin caught the treat midair and grabbed the rope toy, tugging on it once he had it in his jaws. He pulled as hard as he could, trying to wrench it from Samul.
Samul stumbled some as Larkin grabbed the toy, laughing. He dug his heels in, laughing as he pulled back.
Larkin pulled harder until he fell over, rolling on the floor and hopping right back to his feet a moment later. He barked at Samul, his tail wagging hard.
Samul laughed some, moving to toss the rope to Larkin. He knew the wolf was even more clumsy in this form, but it was so cute.
Larkin caught the rope and rolled over onto his back with it, shaking it aggressively while he growled in a playful way. Thankfully, he didn't do any damage to the furniture since it was pushed out of his way. After a while, he brought the rope toy back to Samul.
"Good boy," Samul praised. He scratched behind Larkin's ears and down his back, kissing his head. He took the rope toy, offering Larkin a treat in turn.
Larkin happily ate the treat and flopped down at Samul's feet, clearly liking the attention and wanting more of it. He howled loudly at Samul, his tail still wagging.
Samul laughed, sitting down with Larkin on the floor. He scratched Larkin's back and stomach, smiling still.
Larkin whined contentedly and threw himself into Samul's lap, seeming pretty pleased with himself. He yawned and licked Samul's cheeks, still bright and energetic.
Samul held Larkin close, still petting the wolf.
"Mm, I love you too Larkin," he said, leaning into the licking at his cheek.
After a few hours, Larkin finally fell asleep in Samul's lap, curled up and snoring on his back.
Samul looked down as he realized Larkin had fallen asleep. He still smiled, moving to just lay down with Larkin on the floor.
(Skip?)
(Sounds good to me)
Larkin was still passed out in the morning when Samul awoke, but had shifted back into a human in his sleep. He didn't generally remember shifting back, which was definitely good considering how painful it was.
Samul looked down when he woke up, holding Larkin close. He moved to sit up and carry the sleeping man to the bedroom, tucking his head into his lover's shoulder. He shivered some in the cool of the morning, ready to wrap them up in some blankets.
Larkin huddled up against Samul in his sleep, looking completely exhausted. It didn't look he was going to wake up for a few more hours at least.
Samul figured, with the night they had before. He hummed some, laying down with Larkin in the bed. He pulled the blankets over them, rubbing his lover's back.
After several hours, Larkin finally started to stir and looked up at Samul blearily when his eyes were open. He was very sore from the previous night, and he still looked pretty drained.
"Hey, sweetie." Samul lightly kissed Larkin's head when he saw his partner waking up, rubbing his cheek with one thumb. "How are you doing..?"
"Mmmmm…" Larkin buried his face in Samul's chest, whining softly. "Soreeee… m'head hurts…" He mumbled.
"Want me to get you some painkillers?" Samul asked, kissing Larkin's head.
Larkin nodded weakly. "Mm… do I have to do anything today…?" He asked, closing his eyes to try and help his head.
"No, I made sure our schedules were cleared," Samul said. He pulled away, standing to get Larkin his water and the pills Samul kept in the room.
