Nathan looked at Maddie worriedly. "Glad I'm the first."

"Hey, guys…" Luke drifted over. "This is great and all, but I think we should come up with a way to deal with our little problem more permanently. We need to know more about the thugs tha dude sent after us so we can pound them into acorn butter. Agreed?"

Nathan nodded. "Very true, Luke. Unfortunately, I've told you everything I know." he told him. "We have to find a way to get into his place."

I sat for a minute contemplating an idea. “why dont you se me as bait?” I asked. I looked down avoiding eyes.

Nathan shook his head. "Not safe. I'm putting anyone in danger." He looked at Luke. "He doesn't you, Luke."

“Nathan come on” i said. “He wants me and Crash and he already sees me as fragile. He would take it”

"But he doesn't know Luke. It'd be so much safer for everyone. Then we could have more time and go in discreetly."

"Oh. He doesn't want me? Pff, I'm almost offended." Luke slogged out of the water and flopped on the shore. "But I'll be darned if I'm gonna leave you guys to deal with this alone. I'm okay with doing some spying, since I'm not a target."

"It'd be so much safer for everyone. Then we could have more time and go in discreetly. And, another advantage, Luke could say he wants to sell you out, having just met you. I know people like Blake, he would be too blinded by what he wants to be suspicious."

“We dont have time. Why would Luke just walk in and request a meeting with Blake?” I said. Inside i knew i only wanted to give myself up to erase my childhood memories.

"Because I came back to you and told you what happened. Luke was tempted, so he came to Blake."

“Nathan, I’m going.” I said a little harsher
(I’ve go to go but ill be back in an hour or so)

"Relax," Luke told Maddie. "I'll just hunt down one of his cronies and terrify him into cooperating with me. I have no doubt that this Blake guy would pay attention to a lad like me."

Crash popped his head out of the water. "I'mma stay with Maddie. I'll go where she goes."

“But what if you get hurt Luke?” I said “Blake’s minions won’t hurt me since he needs me” I was going to start pleading very soon “I don’t want any of you hurt” i turned back to the rock wall behind me.

Luke smirked. "Trust me, friend. I'm dangerous. The only ones gonna get hurt is them, if they try to mess with me." He turned and made for the exit, shrugging his jacket back on. "I'll be back in a blink. Don't do anything crazy while I'm gone."
