"Yes, let's." Matthew turned to start walking again, patting Rowan's back lightly as they moved on.
"Hopefully, far."
"Yes, let's." Matthew turned to start walking again, patting Rowan's back lightly as they moved on.
"Hopefully, far."
"Hopefully, yes." She started walking alongside Matthew, keeping quiet for a while.
Matthew was quiet as well, looking up.
"Would you like to fly, sometime?" He said suddenly.
"Fly?" She asked curiously. "Well, I suppose. I'm not afraid of heights like Rowan."
Matthew nodded.
"That sounds fun, then. We can do it next time we stop to rest."
She nodded a bit as well. "Or, if you can carry both of us at the same time, it could be a quicker way to travel while he's asleep."
"I could, but I'm worried Rowan would wake up mid-flight," Matthew admitted. "Not to mention the dog and Fluff…"
"True. It would be easier if you didn't have to worry about carrying so much, and if Rowan wasn't afraid of heights…" She sighed softly.
"Many things in life would be easier if only one or two things were different. But we must work with what we have, and it's okay if we can't fly." Matthew offered a small smile.
She nodded a bit. "That's true. And you guys don't have cars here, correct?" She asked.
"Cars?" Matthew tilted his head some. "Well I haven't heard of them I can remember, so I would say no."
"You probably saw lots of them during your brief venture to earth. They come in lots of different colors and they're mechanical, and they're big enough to carry multiple people and their stuff as well. And they can go pretty fast."
"Oooh… Yeah no, none of those," Matthew said, laughing softly.
"Hm… it would definitely make this easier if you did." She laughed softly. "They're our main form of transportation on earth."
"Well, this world doesn't seem to be as far along technologically." Matthew laughed softly, holding Rowan to himself.
"True. You don't really need to be though, do you?" She asked softly. "Everyone can fly."
"Well, avians can," Matthew said. "Not everyone is an avian."
"True. How does everyone else get around, then?" She asked. "Just walking?"
"Swimming or running are also options," Matthew pointed out. "And horses."
She nodded a bit. "I suppose that makes sense, but it would still be pretty exhausting, wouldn't it?"
"Yes, it can be," Matthew admitted. "But we do our best to enjoy the journey and the end."
"Fair enough. Usually on earth we just try to get places as quickly and easily as we can."
"I see…" Matthew hummed, thinking some. "It sounds boring," he admitted.
"I suppose so, but it's a lot less tiring." She shrugged a bit.
"True… There are pros and cons to everything, after all." Matthew hummed some, smiling.
"Mhmm." She stretched a bit as she walked, humming softly to herself.
Matthew stretched his wings out behind him, letting out a breath. It'd been too long since he'd flown, but he wasn't going to now.
After a while, Rowan's mother looked up to the sky. "It's starting to get dark." She observed.
"It is," Matthew agreed. "There should be a good place to rest just up ahead."
"Sounds good to me. Is Rowan awake yet?" She asked softly.
