"Mm, that does sound a bit nice. Still, none of them looked, ah, big enough for me to fit in, really. And I'd be crushing my wings if I tried to sit in them, which is not something I wish to do." Matthew chuckled some, still smiling.
"Yeah, true. I guess they wouldn't be very good for wings." Rowan laughed softly. "There's probably some way to figure it out."
"Some way," Matthew agreed. He laughed softly, flexing his wings a bit at just the thought of sitting against them.
"But I have no idea how to build a car, and since no one here does either, I doubt we'll have anything like them any time soon."
"And if we did, they'd probably look a lot different than yours." Matthew chuckled. He had to admit, he was glad he didn't have to deal with a car.
"Mhmm. It's probably nice to be able to fly, huh?" Rowan asked, humming softly. "You don't have to pay for gasoline."
"Gasoline?" Matthew tilted his head at the new word.
"Um… it's something that you put in the car as fuel, so you can drive it. It won't go if it doesn't have fuel."
"Ah," Matthew said, somewhat getting it. "Alright, then!"
Rowan nodded a bit. "Most of our vehicles require fuel. There's a few that are electric, but… mostly gas powered stuff."
"Mmm, that makes some sense. The vehicles require gasoline like we require food, right?"
"Uh… more or less, yeah." Rowan shrugged a bit. "Except they're not alive."
"Right, of course," Matthew said, chuckling softly.
Rowan nodded and kept walking, humming softly to himself. "Did you see anything else on earth that confused you?"
"There was… a lot," Matthew admitted. "Still, I don't want to bore you will all my questions."
"It's not like I've got anything else to do." Rowan shrugged. "We'll be travelling for a while longer."
"Well… who lit all the lights on the signs?" Matthew asked. "And the colors were strange, especially since your world doesn't have magic."
"Ah, that's just the electricity… we've got LED lights and stuff that are colored, and with electricity, they can light up."
"A-Ah, okay…" Matthew was more confused by the answer than his own original question, chuckling weakly.
"Mm… I'm not really sure how to explain it." Rowan laughed a bit. "Electricity is sort of like a facet of science that's… kinda like magic, but natural, I dunno."
"Aa, I get electricity!" Matthew assured quickly. "My friend can use it. I just never thought it could be used that way in particular."
Rowan smiled softly and nodded. "Yeah, we use it for a lot of stuff since we don't have any magic on earth."
"Mm… my friend mostly just uses it to set things on fire," Matthew said, chuckling softly.
"I guess that's fair. I'm not entirely sure how we harness electricity since it isn't really my job to know, but… we do."
"Mm, okay! I can't expect you to know everything about your world, seeing as I'm sure there are things about this one you could ask that I don't know the answer to." Matthew offered a small smile, kissing Rowan's cheek.
Rowan nodded again, humming softly. "Right… did you have any other questions?"
"I think that's everything," Matthew said, smiling.
"Do you have any?"
"Not at the moment, no… let me know if there's anything else you wanna know." Rowan smiled softly up at Matthew.
"Okay! I'll be sure to!" Matthew smiled back, moving to kiss Rowan's cheek. Tammy giggled some at that, legs swinging.
Rowan returned the kiss and hummed happily, looking down at the chicks. "You three doing alright?" He asked.
