Do they have a nickname? How did they get that nickname? Iz or Izzy, which are just variations of his name that his mother calls him.

Who or what are they most proud of? He's really proud of his mom for raising and putting up with him, 'cause he's a handful now but was way worse as a child.

What's their biggest regret? Never being able to meet his father.

What's their theme song/s? 'Smithereens' by Twenty One Pilots

If they could change anything about their life right now, what would it be? His lack of self-esteem or his difficulty focusing on things.

What makes them laugh the hardest? His friends' reactions to his bad jokes.

What do they think happens after death? He believes in reincarnation.

Do they have any allergies/diseases/medical ailments? He has a mild allergy to lemons and limes which causes him to break out into rashes if he consumes too much of either. He also can't touch pure iron without being burnt like it's a hot pan out of the oven.

When was the time they were most frightened? When he arrived home once to see doctors surrounding his mother. She'd broken a bone while dusting a high shelf.

Are they an optimist or pessimist? He's generally optimistic.

Could they ever kill? No way. He won't even eat meat because of his ability to communicate with animals—he sure as hell won't kill a person. (But, theoretically, if he were to, it would haunt him forever.)

If they ever went missing, who would they want to look for them the hardest? He'd want all of his friends and family looking for him. The more people looking, the faster he'd ideally be found.

How would they spend their Saturday Night? Outside, exploring the forest or nearby terrain with friends.

What's their idea of a perfect date? It'd start with hijacking a wagon and filling it with blankets, and end with his date and him snuggling in the back on a hill overlooking rolling fields. They'd have food with them, of course, and he'd ask the animals to keep everyone away for a while. The night would be chilly, but not freezing, and they'd just spend the night in each others' presence, laughing and joking and learning more about one another.

What are their coping mechanisms? He destresses through ukulele or drawing, or sometimes just walking and interacting with animals.

If they couldn't fall asleep at night, what would they do? Probably sneak out to bother friends or find something to snack on while he drew.

If they could choose, how would they die? Either in his sleep or through drowning.

What makes butterflies go off in their stomach? The fun, romance-y kind of way: Flirty jokes, physical contact, prolonged eye contact. In the not-so-fun-way: Being forced into a leadership position or being counted on by people other than his friends or family.

What are they like when they're ill? Oh, insufferable. At least, when it comes to your run-of-the-mill cold. He constantly complains and wants others to do everything for him. It's when he's really sick that you've got to watch out for, because that's when he tries to hide how bad it is and ends up worsening his condition.

What do they do in their free time? Practices ukulele, tends to his small personal garden, draws, makes list of places he wants to go or things he wants to do.

Are they right- or left-handed? Right-handed.

Do they have a criminal record of any kind? Nope.

What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to them? Called his friend by the wrong name for three months before someone finally corrected him.

If they knew they were going to die in 24 hours, name three things they would do in the time they had left. 1) Visit family and friends. 2) Go to Trabury, 'The City of Magic', to see it at least one time. 3) Indulge in nothing but sweet potato casserole as a last meal.

If you could, what advice would you, the author, give to them? LOVE YOURSELF, HONEY!

If they were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be? He actually believes in this! He thinks he'd either be reincarnated as a full fae or maybe a sweet potato plant.

Do they have a birthmark? Nope.

What sentence sums them up perfectly? "It's an avocado, thanksssss…"

Are they happy with the person they've become? Not really. He thinks he turned out alright, but that there's a lot about himself that he can fix.

First discussion post! I think I'll use my story's main character, Ptolemy the Sphinx.

  Depends on who's behind him. He was raised to be generally polite, though, so he would probably hold it open if it was a stranger.

  Probably something practical that would effect a majority of people, like the common flu.

  Ptol or Ptolly; a few endearing nicknames that his closest friends have decided to use. He doesn't object to them, since they're just shortenings of his first name.
• [Who or what are they most proud of?]
  If referring more to objects instead of people, he's rather proud of his collection of ancient literature. But it, like a lot of things, can be improved upon, according to him.

  While getting so caught up in his preparations for the future, sometimes he misses out on present-moment opportunities that he didn't know he had until they were gone.

  He would wish for there to be no barriers to his pursuit of knowledge, since the knowledge he desires is that of forbidden magic.

  When willfully ignorant people get some well-deserved karma for their actions, either through his own efforts or through pure fate.

  What the average Sphinx believes; starting life over again through reincarnation until they've fulfilled their purpose.

  If mental disorders count, he has Anxiety and Bipolar Disorder.

  When he was brought up to the highest floor of one of the city's skyscrapers - despite having wings, he has a terrible fear of heights.

  He's more of a realist than anything. If he has a good reason to be positive of something, he will be, and vice-versa.

  If brought to some sort of breaking point, maybe. If he killed anybody, it would most likely be somebody he hated with a passion, which aren't very many people. He probably wouldn't even entertain the thought, since his friends would talk him out of it.

  Anyone out of his four best friends. If he had to pick one, it would be Blaise, since she has enough determination to actually go out and find a missing person.

  Either studying or reading alone in his dorm room (like any other night), or going out to watch a so-bad-it's-good movie with his friends.
• [What's their idea of a perfect date?]
  Perhaps reading together in a particularly cozy spot of a library. But honestly, setting doesn't matter, as long as they can both talk about their interests with each other without any fear of annoying the other party.
• [What are their coping mechanisms?]
  Fidgeting with his paws and chewing on the ends of pencils. If he's met with anxiety-induced thoughts, he would do his best to think through them logically, maybe even factchecking his own intrusive thoughts to prove if they're rational.
• [If they couldn't fall asleep at night, what would they do?]
  The thing is, he doesn't sleep very often; he pulls several all-nighters at a time, simply because he can't find a stopping point in his own research, and doesn't want to sleep until whatever tasks he has are complete. In this situation, caffeine is his best friend.
• [If they could choose, how would they die?]
  Of old age, or at least after he finds some sort of lifelong success, so that he can feel accomplished in his final moments.
• [What makes butterflies go off in their stomach?]
  Just about anything, really. He's learned to mask his chronic anxiety. But something that would set him off more than usual would be being in close proximity to his romantic interest (if he even has one).
• [What are they like when they're ill?]
  No matter how sick he is, if he has things to do, he'll try to power through it. He would regularly continue with assignments and projects to the point of fatigue. Eventually, his friends would force him to quit whatever he's doing and get some needed rest, even if he himself objects to it.
• [What do they do in their free time?]
  Read, write, or play piano.
• [Are they right- or left-handed?]
  Right-handed, no susprises there.
• [Do they have a criminal record of any kind?]
  Probably some trespassing or theft, but he trusts that any crime he commits is for the sake of learning. Oh, and maybe raising the dead once or twice, if there's an official law against that.
• [What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to them?]
  The one time he turned in an assignment late. Sure, nobody else saw or called him out on it, but he'll never let himself live it down. That 99.9% in his gradebook will haunt him forever.

  Firstly, tell each of his friends how much he cares about them. Next, put together a will so that he knows his literature collection will be taken care of. Lastly, make sure that, no matter what happens to his body, it'll end up in a sarcophagus.

  Focused. Intelligent. Socially-Awkward.

  Living Cheat Sheet. (He lets just about anybody look over his notes and test answers.)

  Another sphinx. Maybe one with better eyesight so he didn't have to wear glasses all the time.

  None that are visible. The spots on his wings barely count, since those patterns are hereditary.

  Sure, but he doesn't feel as though he's fulfilled his purpose yet. He'll be truly happy once he does, but for now, he's content with the work-in-progress that he is.

  Romantically? None of them. All four of his best friends are girls, and he's gay.

  Not at all, as long as he's accomplished something in life once he does kick the bucket. Premature death on the other hand? Terrifying.

  Definitely Chaotic Neutral. He follows through with his objectives, with little regard for the rules. When it comes to pursuing knowledge, nothing stands in his way.
