“‘30’ Days.
Is it a long period of time?
Is it… a significant period of time?
It depends on what happens during those thirty days, right?
Well… let’s make
your ‘30’ days more interesting.
Project ‘30’ aims to make your boring disgrace of life more colorful with friendly challenges for you to do.
However, because it is still in prototype, we are looking for one specific and lucky participant only.
Interested?
Please answer this voicemail with your real name and the message ‘I’m ready’, and let’s change the ‘30’ days ahead together, shall we?
Boring daily life… will be no more,”

This was the voicemail from an unknown email address sent to you. You couldn’t figure out who had sent the email, all you had, was this file of this distorted voicemail. It was ominous, maybe as ominous as some of the creepy pasta stories you’ve read during your time alone. It was tempting… to reply to the Project, that was. There was no telling what was going to happen. How it was going to end. Maybe, just maybe, that was the purpose of it all.

@CasiCasino group

(Hello~ Of course, though— you can deal with things like…

…right?)

@CasiCasino group

(Alright, sweet. You’re in for a fun ride then friend. Now I just need your character and an ‘I’m ready’ and we’ll be good to go.)
(Of course! Stalking is recommended in ‘roleplays’ in these ones :D)

@CasiCasino group

(Also, for you stalking, feedback from time to time is encouraged and appreciated because I genuinely fear for the state of this roleplay down the line XD)

@knightinadream group

Name : Jasper Moon
Age : 24
Gender : Male (He/Him)
Physical Appearance : Our friend stands exactly at six foot one and weighing around one hundred fifty-four pounds. For having a rectangular mesomorphic build, he is relatively lean and skinny. His eyes are a dark chocolate brown which contrasts with his warm ivory colored skin. Jasper likes to part his auburn hair to the right and keep it as neat as possible. He does have his ears pierced, but he only wears earrings when he is not at work. Below his right eye is a small scar he had gotten when he was six years old; he doesn't remember how he got it though.
Personality : Jasper is a quiet laid-back kind of person. He mostly just keeps to himself unless he is around people he's close to then he'll open up just a bit. Pretty self-sufficient, never really going to anyone for anything. Typically he prefers to be away from any crowds or anything dealing with a boat load of people. It is hard for him to be able to express himself in a way that can be understandable towards others; he's always worrying that no one is going to understand or listen to him. Nevertheless, Jasper is a normal good person. Maybe a little bit curious, and potentially daring, than the average person, but he has heart.
Others : Jasper has a paid internship as an assistant till he can find an actual job. Also he has a black cat named Darcy.

(So sorry for the wait. Here he is, let me know if I need to change or add anything. Other than that, I'm ready!)

@CasiCasino group

(Aight!)

You woke up one day on a rather average and boring morning. The sun outside was annoying as usual and there wasn’t anything else to give you joy other than Darcy sleeping at the end of the bed, curled up like a cinnamon roll. You found yourself being sent an email with a voicemail file attached. The voice in the file seemed to have been a distorted male voice, most likely from a man name ‘Aki’, claiming something about a ‘30 day experimental project’ where Jasper was ‘lucky’ enough to have had the opportunity to join. They only wanted an ‘I’m ready’ from Jasper it would seem.

@knightinadream group

Jasper sat at his computer desk staring at the laptop screen. Over and over he played the voicemail clicking it again once it ended. Part of him wondered if this was even real. Wouldn't be too surprising if someone just sent this as a prank. On the other hand, why the hell would someone send something so perplexing yet oddly intriguing? Is it too early to be freaking out over this? He hasn't even considered saying yes to this email. And how they even got his email address is a complete mystery to him.

The next ten minutes he spent were nothing but him pacing around the bedroom pondering. He kept biting his thumb while staring at the wooden floor. Part of him does want to say yes to see what could happen. The other wants to ignore it, delete it, and forget about it. This email really might be apart of something and it might be terrible. Being part of it will only make things darker for him and maybe everyone else. But, whoever this Aki is decided to send it to Jasper, him, no one else. There has to be a reason why.

With his hands on his hips, he stared out the window. Yeah, maybe he will say yes to it. Maybe whatever happens in those thirty days will blow over and actually be helpful. Will it? Jasper groaned as he sat down on the floor. Darcy woke up only to come by then fall asleep in his owner's lap. Picking the cat up, Jasper held him gently while staring into those yellow feline eyes. "Even if I do something unknown and outrageous, will I still be the same me?", he asked. The cat just blinked once very slowly before wiggling out of his grasp.

Fine. Jasper got up then went back to the laptop. Sitting down, he glanced back over at the cat. Darcy sat across from him, just staring and blinking at him. He turned back and clicked to make a new email. "Jasper Moon.", he typed into his response, "I'm ready."

@CasiCasino group

Immediately, as Jasper sent his response, a reply came from the same email; Aki’s.

“Thank you for your cooperation, Jasper Moon. We will be beginning this project at exactly 9 AM. Please feel free to read through the rules whilst waiting. Once again, thank you, and have a good first day.” the email said. There was still a solid half an hour before it was time to start.

@knightinadream group

It came in a heartbeat. Well, there's no way to get out of it now. He skimmed through the rules once. Each one of them was practically the same aside from the last; don't mention the project to anyone. Should be easy for him, except he still has Darcy. That rule about not telling pets made no sense to him. It's just a cat, although sometimes he wonders if the fur ball is actually listening to him like it was a human in a past life or something. Guess he'll have to follow each rule as carefully as possible.

Nine o'clock, just exactly thirty minutes left. Thankfully he got the day off to figure this out. Jasper picked up his phone setting an alarm for nine then set it down. He decided to just go about with his regular morning routine. Feed the cat, brush his teeth, take a shower, get dressed, eat, and do some work. While his mind was trying to be fixated on other things, it still kept going back to the project. Regret started to settle in as he put on a t-shirt, it faded in and out constantly till the alarm went off.

He stopped. "Oh lord please help me.", he muttered under his breath. His heartbeat accelerated as his eyes shot over at the laptop waiting for another email. Jasper picked up a pen and began to fiddle with it.

@CasiCasino group

And an email did come.

”Let’s start with an easy one. Put on a mask and head outside, find a street vendor and buy something from them. Remember to say ‘thank you’. Oh, and, bring your phone,” the email said. The email’s ‘command’ was easy enough.

Right now, at this time, street vendors were just starting to come out and set up their shops. There were many choices for Jasper to make; whether it be clothes, food, drinks, or whatever. He could decide when he’s down there.

@knightinadream group

Jasper couldn't help but tilt his head in confusion reading this first task. "An easy one….", he sighed, "Suspiciously too easy." Really, he had no idea what this first one was going to be. It's relatively clear these won't be as easy and lighthearted like this one. No matter what, he has to do this. He has to do all of them even the ones that are going to be difficult. Now it is hard to imagine all the other potential commands he has to follow with. Is it just one per day? How is Aki going to know he's completed them?

Without saying anything to Darcy, he got up and closed the laptop. His feet dragged as he went over to put on his coat. The black mask he uses is sitting on the small end table where he left it the night before. The cat maneuvered himself around, rubbing against his owner's leg. Jasper chuckled lightly as he reached down to gently pat Darcy. "I'll see you in a bit, you hairy baby.", he cooed.

Everything was so different as he went outside. Life kept moving along while he preferred to be stuck inside. Despite having his apartment close to downtown, it was completely quiet inside. Warm too. The bleakness in the air made his cheeks turn a bright red as he lifted up the mask over. For a quick second he thought back to the command. He shook his head then began to walk down the sidewalk.

Street vendors are everywhere. The closer you got to the big marketplace, the more you'd find. Some sold food while others sold things like clothes or crafts. He really wished he hadn't eaten breakfast already, if only he knew that something such as buying from a vendor would be the first thing.

Ambling around the block, he kept turning his head looking for a street vendor. He wasn't really sure what he is exactly wanting to buy. Jasper stopped in his tracks when he noticed something in his peripherals. A middle-aged woman stood there with a small stand selling home-made gloves for eight a pair. Not a bad price in his opinion. "May I buy two pairs?", he asked.

The woman jumped being a little bit startled. She nodded with a joyful expression on her face. Jasper smiled a bit as he took his wallet pulling out the exact amount. He exchanged the money then was given a small paper bag with a pair of black gloves and also a pair of blue ones. Perfect. "Thank you.", Jasper beamed as he closed the bag looking up. The vendor gave him a small wave as he walked off.

@CasiCasino group

As soon as Jasper had done as the first email had asked, his phone gave a ding as a notification of an email would appear.

”Well done. Now. Towards the market there should be some beggars down the road. Find one who’s blind and put some dollars in. I won’t tell you the amount. Put as you please. Make sure to give him a smile, one he couldn’t see,” the email had said.

This was a weirder request for sure, but it was easy enough. It was as if the man across the screen, Aki, was watching every move Jasper was doing.

@knightinadream group

The ding sound from his phone made a chill go down his spine. He knew exactly what it was too. Stopping right in the middle of the sidewalk, he started looking around wondering if this Aki was nearby. They have to be, there is no other way around it. Jasper yawned as he pulled out his phone checking the new email. Again, a more brighter task. Honestly he isn't complaining about it. Luckily, he still has money in his wallet, a good amount to give to a beggar; if only he had more to make a big difference for whoever this beggar is.

Facing in the direction to the market again, he went back down. On his way he gave a wave to the woman who sold him the gloves. Jasper put on the black pair a moment ago, they kept his hands perfectly warm. He still held the bag holding the other blue pair. Something about this project felt off to him. These first two commands are too good, better than what his mind was already imagining. Yet again, he still is not complaining about this, very early to be doing so.

Carefully he weaved through the people traffic doing his best to not crash into anybody. Jasper kept glancing around trying to find this blind person, hoping they weren't too far away. A couple of times he went up and down the same path looking relentlessly. He stopped nearby a bench deciding to take a seat. Once again he took a peak at the email. Something inside him said he should look to the right. Putting the phone away, his dark eyes gradually trailed over.

At another bench in front of a shop, there sat a beggar. They had a walking stick laying against their leg. Must be them! Springing up out of the seat, Jasper pulled down his mask under his chin. He swiftly made his way over then sat down beside the beggar. Tilting his head to the side, he cleared his throat then started to smile. The opening between his lips shut at the realization of the other pair of gloves. Even if it wasn't part of the command, it'd still be nice to give them. One is enough for him.

"Excuse me?", he called as he lightly tapped the person the shoulder, "I'm Jasper, would it be weird if I asked for your hands?" A soft beam took in place of the small grin. As he waited, it grew brighter as he stared at them.

The beggar turned to face him. At first they gave him a confused look before giving a simple yes. Jasper took out the other gloves then gently put them on the beggar's hand. Next he took out his wallet trying to find the bill with the most amount. Originally he had about forty, but after buying the gloves he has twenty four. He slipped fourteen into the bag then handed it to the beggar. "There's fourteen dollars in there. Do as you please with it.", he smiled, "Bye."

@CasiCasino group

As time rolled around to around ten in the morning, another email came.

”Well done. You like taking orders huh?
Anyways, go pass and head to the department store down the road. There should only be one. Head up to the third floor and find the fire extinguisher, there should be a black suitcase there. Find it and sit down on the bench area across from a Korean BBQ shop. Do
NOT open the suitcase until you are said to do so, not that you can open it anyways,” that was all the email had said. It was starting to feel like this ‘Aki’ person was putting Jasper through a treasure hunt or whatever the right word was to describe such an ominous activity…

People were starting to flood into that specific department store as well so it was going to be quite difficult to get the suitcase without someone seeing.

@knightinadream group

Trying to find this case without looking like some sort of criminal sounds awfully a lot like a game to him. A suitcase he cannot open till being told otherwise even though he actually cannot open it. Only an hour into the project and he still lost as before. So far he's gotten more questions floating around his head rather than any answers to calm him. That first line too… You like taking orders huh? What is he going to become a henchman for this guy? "It's not that I like doing them, they're all I have been doing my whole life, Aki", he sighed. Since Aki can see him somehow, he can probably can hear him too; it wouldn't be too surprising.

Jasper followed the instructions going down the street. So many people were out now that it was ten and all the major stores or buildings are opening. Not many of them are like this department store he has to go to. The place is small on the outside, but it is the one of the only buildings with three plus floors. Even at a distance, he can see practically all the people flocking in. With that many people there can only mean two things, security cameras and guards everywhere. And he will be walking around holding a case looking like an associate for a mob boss. Great.

Closed spaces are not his most favorite thing in the whole world. Just being around several others made his shoulders tense up as he hesitantly walked in. No one was looking at him as he approached the elevator. On the contrary, the hairs on the back of his neck stood. Right after entering, he pressed the button for the third floor then crept into a corner. The doors closed in front of him as he took out his phone. Jasper kept rereading the email till he heard the elevator stop.

Third floor is almost the exact same layout as the main level except this was a different section. Across from his was the fire extinguisher with the black suitcase. How everyone has ignored it is beyond his knowledge. Someone had to come in then put it there after all. Would be easy to just walk up and get if it weren't for a guard plainly leaning against the wall. For the next fives minutes, Jasper ambled around the third floor randomly looking at clothes while seeing if the guard from before has moved from his spot. Five minutes suddenly turned into fifteen in a flash. Patience is a virtue, but no way is he going to wait around any longer.

Casually he made his way over to the fire extinguisher. The guard was in the same darn spot not really paying any attention to anything. Jasper slowed down his step as he passed by carefully taking the suitcase handle into his hand. Odd enough, he felt his heart beating fast when he bolted back into the elevator. A thud noise came after Jasper accidentally tripped while getting in. "Damn it" Thankfully the doors closed once again right as the sound caught the guard's attention.

Still, there is one more thing to do; find a BBQ place with a bench across from it. All he knew was that there was a Korean BBQ place called "Misaeng" around the corner. Never been there, but he's heard about it. Swiftly he made his way over then crossed the street. He leaned back into the bench with the suitcase sitting on his lap.
