Dove nodded and resumed her book, getting off of the bench and swooping her backpack onto her shoulders in one fluid motion. Leaving the other girl standing there, she headed towards the East Rosmanine Wing, where only people who want to be bored spend their time. Dove flipped her book closed and took her knife out of her backpack as soon as she went into the room display of the handshake scenario. She split the spine and pulled out a scroll. "Dove, it's in the spine, burn it. But don't let anyone see." Dove's dads had given her a message and she wasn't going to ignore it. She pulled a match out of her backpack and struck a flame, "Burn." she whispered, her blue eyes reflecting the flame, and that was the moment where everything went horrendously wrong.
Umm, quick, call animal control!
I dangled down in front of the girl from and held out the dagger. “Why are you burning a book?” I was curious I jumped down and swished my long almost white hair out of my face so I could see her better. She really was beautiful but then the book did something really weird. “What’s going on?”
EDIT: Natalie raised her eyebrows at the girls' exchange. She watched the two disappear, then followed the one who had been reading.
I eyed the girl suspiciously
(XD She finally stopped. She likes making up weird games which usually include some form of torturing me. In hilarious ways.)
"How did you get here so rapidly?" Dove stared at the girl who was inside of the room display with her. "I left you in the West Klair Wing." meanwhile, the scroll, annoyingly, didn't burn, but was glowing blue. The girl with the dagger stared on.
I threw the dagger at the book and it stuck to the wall. I pulled out another “Why is it doing that?” I asked as i walked up to it now on the wall.
"I have no knowledge of why. But I suppose that it doesn't want to be burned." Dove glared at the book, as if it was the one who had tried to burn her.
I pointed the dagger at the girl. “why do you even have this book” i motioned with the dagger.
Dove stared at the girl incredulously, "It's my book. My dad and my other dad gave it to me." Dove stiffened. She didn't like to tell people she had gay dads, because then they would be mean to her.
“You have two dads?” I questioned “That’s cool.” I looked away. “they’re like me” i muttered. Her parents weren’t so keen on her being gay. “But why do they have that book.” I moved over to it and pulled out my other dagger and let the book fall to the ground and kicked it.
"The only thing I know, is that they asked me to incinerate the scroll hidden in the spine, but I sort of read up on it." Dove said, her ears picking up on the last comment, but she decided not to mention it.
“That was what you were doing before.” I lowered the daggers and put them back in there sockets. “I’m Maddie. And you two are?” I asked.
"I do not wish to divulge my name." Dove sniffed, she turned away and focused on her thoughts, I just want some lemongrass tea and a blueberry muffin from Brew Some Latte Love, preferably from Kam.
“why not. Scared I’m gonna hurt you?” I said reaching for my dagger.
"I simply do not wish to. There are all sorts of stories where revealing your name gives the other person power over you." Dove squinted her eyes at the wall.
“You think I care. I could take you out easily” I jumped and climbed all around the wing then landed right back in front of her. “Easy as sweetheart” I whispered in her ear. “if you need me, I’ll be in the mythology section.” I winked at her and walked past.
Natalie watched from a safe distance. She noticed that the girl, Dove had some kind of superpower. So I'm not the only one. Nat thought to herself.
I looked back at the girl and see looked at me. I winked one more time and left.
Dove sighed and decided she would go to Brew Some Latte Love to figure out what she would do next, she wasn't going home until the scroll was destroyed.
Natalie called to Dove. "Hey! I think I can help you."
Dove turned sharply, "I don't think you can."
(I have low battery, so if I don't respond, my compuder is probably dead)
Natalie raised her eyebrows. "I'm……pretty sure I can. If you REALLY want to burn that scroll, I'm pretty sure that you're going to need my help."
(Okie)
I walked out of the museum and played with my daggers. I went down the street and into an abandoned warehouse next to a cafe, where I kept all my weapons. I picked up two identical swords ad started swinging them and throwing them at walls. I was trained since birth to kill. I had to keep in shape. I placed them down and went next door to the cafe. As a regular they always new my order.
