Thea popped another chip in her mouth and wrapped one arm around Abie.
Still wondering about her strange behavior.
"You can't remember who Kai is?" She slowly nodded her head, "Same here, except, I can't remember what happened for the first 13 years of my life. I don't know how old I am or what day I was born. I only remember what my mother sounded like, only that she had red hair and green eyes. Nothing more." Her pale face seemed to empty of emotion, and she stared blankly at the ground. She suddenly shook her head and smiled at Abie. "We girls need to stick together. No one else will ever understand us. Everyone here has been sheltered their whole life and has never experienced the real world. I have. It's cruel, cold, and everyone is out for themselves." She pulled Abie closer, her soft fur warm and just the right ounce of comfort Thea needed. She looked around, remember that Abie wasn't the only person present. She felt her ears growing red with embarrassment and was glad her auburn hair hid them. She watched as MInt and Calix hunted about the kitchen, they seemed to be looking for something.
"What are you two looking for? You two helped me find food, and it's only fair I help you with…whatever you're doing?"

Arwood tilted his head back and allowed his lids to close over his eyes, listening to Mashka and Apz talk. Thinking back on the day.
It seemed like a year ago since he had met with Thilah, but that had been the same day, wasn't it?
Was time measured the same here? Was it slower? Faster? Non-existent?
Finding no answers for his questions, he opened his eyes and watched as the mist curled around Mashka. She had never told him what she was, all he knew was that she could control the earth like Thea, but Mashka's skill was much more enhanced.
Could she possibly be a Warden? No, this was a different world, she was going to be something he had never heard of before.
"Mashka?" He said her name slowly, his tongue still thick from his earlier episode. He was thankful his reaction hadn't mounted to something more and had stayed where he could control his mind. The last thing he needed was to hurt someone and be killed in this place, unable to help his friends back home. "You seem to able to control one of the elements," he continued, "earth. But I have yet to learn what you are, have you any idea what race you are from, and why you were put in a house with no escape? I am sorry if my questions are uncomfortable, and you do not need to answer them if you do not wish to."
