"Not all the time," He said, seeming more chatty than sarcastic now.

“No? People have been nice to me, at least,” Rose said, a confused expression making its way onto his face as he looked at Leon.

"They will be when you're new," He said while looking through the window beside them.

“Do they treat you bad?” Rose asked with big eyes, fidgeting in his seat.

"No.No.No. It's not like that," He sighed,"Let's just say, I attract the bad type."

“Bad type? What kind of bad?” Rose further questioned. He tended to ask too many questions.

"The ones that will do anything for money," He said, still looking out the window, refusing to make eye contact with Rose.

Rose now frowned as he squirmed a tad more in his chair. He wondered what terrible things could have happened to Leon. He wanted to ask, but Leon didn’t seem to want to get into the details. “I’m sorry,” He murmured instead.

He quickly looked at Rose, and quickly said,"No.No.No. It's fine. It's not that bad." Way to ruin the mood, Leon. Go ahead make this person leave too

Ross ran a hand through his hair and nodded quickly in response. “I was just worried..” he said slowly.

"I understand,"He pushed his hair to the side of his face.

“But you’re okay?” Rose asked, wanting Leon to confirm just in case.

"Yep, perfectly fine," He said while smiling to reassure Rose that he was okay.

Rose smiled now and nodded quickly, sitting up in the chair now. He couldn’t seem to sit still under Leon’s gaze. Why did he have to be so attractive?

"Don't mind me trying to make sure this doesn't become awkward," He said quickly, with a slight laugh.

“Mm? Oh, yeah. Maybe we could go somewhere else?” Rose suggested before adding. “If you want to!”

"Sure!"He smiled while chuckling.

“Where do you want to go?” Rose asked in an excited tone. “We could go to the park, we could go to some other restaurant,” he started, naming off various places.

"Your choice, it was your idea," He said while putting his hands into his pockets.

Rose thought about it, finger tracing his lip piercings. “How about the park? I think that’s my favorite place in this town so far.”

"Sure!"He finished up his drink, and threw it away, and follows Rose.

Rose had hopped up from his seat and left the cafe, walking with a slight bounce in his step. There was a smile on his lips as he looked around at others.

He had a small smile on his lips as he followed Rose.

“Do you live close to the cafe?” Rose asked, trying to make conversation as they walked.

"Yea, a block or two away,"He replied.

“Really? That must be nice,” Rose said with a delighted smile as he looked at Leon.

"Yea, it is."He smiled back warmly.

“I work most mornings, if you live close, that means you can stop and see me!” Rose exclaimed in a squeaky tone, partly forgetting that the two had only just met.

He chuckled,"Yea if I wake up early enough."

“You like to sleep in?” Rose now asked, fidgeting with the sleeve of his yellow sweater.
