"Mmm'kay… Well, I'm going to text the others about meeting up," Dawn said, pulling her phone out of her pocket and messaged the group chat.

DAWN: New song. Meet in 10?

Kai's song was interrupted by a quick notification on his phone. He looked down as he checked his screen. It was Dawn.

KAI: Sure. The usual place then?

ROSE: im in

(What/where is our official meeting place?)

The song fades for a second to allow the notification sound through. The phone screen lights up; it's Dawn.
Tod: I'll be there.

Tod tugs his earbuds out, stuffs them with his phone into his pocket, and dons his jacket. He grabs his guitar in its case, gives his place a quick look, and then heads out.

Kai quickly looked around and saw a communal washroom. "Oh thank goodness." He walked in and quickly pulled cleaner clothes out of his backpack and rinsed himself off from the sweat before walking out, heading to the usual destination.

Rose looked at Dawn, "Shall we go?"

(Sorry, I was doing something.)

Dawn: Awesome! Yeah, the usual place.

"I'm ready to go. Did you need a ride?" Dawn asked as she put her things into her backpack.

"That would be nice," Rose nodded. Her fingers tapped a different pattern.

"All right, then we can take my car," Dawn said, standing up. "I'm parked over here." She started walking towards the parking lot.

Rose followed Dawn she switched hands and continued tapping.

Kai walked through a back alleyway, making his way steadily towards the warehouse. He kept one ear open though but kept the music playing in the one earbud. "I hope I'm not too late…"

(I'm skipping a bit.)

Dawn parked her maroon Jeep Wrangler outside the old warehouse.

"And, we're here," she said, climbing out of the car and making her way inside.

Rose hopped out, of the Jeep. She rushed in and sat at the drum set. She began messing around with different rhythms.

Kai walked through the open door and waved his hand at Rose and Dawn. "Sup dudettes. What's the new music ya got?"

Tod sees Kai from a distance and sighs in relief. I'm not late. When he gets inside, he sees that the whole gang has arrived.

"Hey, guys! I've just got one new song, but I wanted to share it with you," Dawn explained as she walked to the mic. Tapping the mic, she smiled as she joked, "Is this thing on?"

"Ask Dawn," Rose got a bit quieter on the drums.

Tod waves to the group without saying hello and leans his guitar case up against the wall. He sets himself up on a stool and waits excitedly for Dawn to begin.

"All right, I've gotta go turn the soundboard on quick before I start," Dawn said, leaving the mic to walk over to the board covered in knobs and buttons and lights. She blew out a breath as she looked at it, trying to remember what to do. "Aha! That's right," she exclaimed, flipping a switch and twisting a knob. The soundboard lit up and the mic turned on.

Dawn made her way back over to the mic. "You guys ready?" she asked, her voice booming out of the speakers.

Tod nods. "Yeah," He says quietly.

"Ready when you are!" Kai called.

"YEAH!" Rose screamed.

Tod nods. "Yeah," He says quietly.

Dawn smiled, then cleared her throat. She tapped out a rhythm on her leg before starting singing a fast, upbeat song. A few minutes later, she finished and looked over the rest of the group.

"So… What'd you think?" she asked, grinning.

"Let's do it," Rose loved the faster songs. It meant she could do more stuff on her drums.

(@RedEeveestar, let's say Tod's I'm not late was a sarcastic thought. :P)

Tod nods agreeably. "Yeah, how long did it take you write up the frame for this one?"

"Great! It took me a couple of days. I started it yesterday and it just flowed out," Dawn said. She stepped down from the mic and back over to the soundboard, turning it off.
