Arwood gave the woman a weak apologetical smile then started down a low hallway and entered a small kitchen. He indicated the room, “I do not know what this coffee looks like,” he started, walking toward a counter and ran his hand across its smooth surface, “You will have to explain it to me, also…” He turned to look at the small boy. “I know it is not my business to…intervine, but where I come from the words you said to the young lady was very ungentlemanly like,” he spoke gently, and lightly and yet not offensively. “Now, I know we are not from the same place and maybe not even from the same century but your choice of words made me very uncomfortable, which means it most likely made her very uncomfortable. It would be wise to go and apologize.” He finished, hoping the boy wasn’t offended by his small speech.
