"Um… I guess you could heat up the milk for the hot chocolate, then?" Lucas shrugged a bit.
"Um… I guess you could heat up the milk for the hot chocolate, then?" Lucas shrugged a bit.
Melissa nodded a little, pulling the milk from the fridge to do as asked. "Mm… where's Cody? Do you have any idea?"
"He's still playing out in the yard. I can whistle for him if you want him to come in, though." Lucas leaned up against the counter and yawned.
“Mm, I just don’t want him to get cold.” Melissa shrugged, turning to face him. “If you think he’s gonna be okay though, than alright.”
"I'll just go get him while you're heating up the milk." Lucas opened the front door and whistled, and Cody came running in.
Melissa had started to make the hot chocolate when Lucas disappeared into the other room. “You want marshmallows?” She called out, pouring the coco in mugs. “Or whipped cream?”
"Yeah, sure. To both." Lucas came back into the kitchen and kissed Melissa's cheek.
Melissa hummed, giving him a smile before pulling the whipped cream out of the fridge. “Of course, darling.” She chirped, topping off his mug. “Here you are!”
"Thanks, Mel." Lucas accepted his hot chocolate from Melissa and sipped it idly. "Wanna head over to the couch?"
"Mm, sure!" Melissa hummed, picking up her mug and following him over to the couch. "I love you~"
"Love you too, Mel." Lucas smiled gently and sat down on the couch with Melissa. "Wanna do anything else? Watch TV or something?"
Shrugging a bit, Melissa gave him a soft smile. "I don't really care. I'm happy to do whatever, honestly." She hummed, resting her head on his shoulder.
"I'll put something on for background noise, then…" Lucas turned on the TV and huddled closer to Melissa.
"M'kay… thank you, for being with me." Melissa hummed, nuzzling against him some.
"No problem, Mel… I love you…" Lucas murmured softly, returning the nuzzles with a contented hum.
"I love you, too…" Melissa hummed, kissing his cheek before sinking in her seat. "Mm… do we have to do anything else today..?"
Lucas shook his head a bit. "Not really, no. I might do some homework, though."
"Mm, probably a good idea…" Melissa hummed, yawning a little as she sipped from her coco. "I don't think I asked, but how are you doing today?"
"I'm alright. You?" Lucas sipped at his hot chocolate as well and closed his eyes, blowing on it idly to cool it down.
"I'm actually doing okay today… it's been a good day up to this point." Melissa hummed, looking up at him with a soft smile.
Lucas nodded a bit. "That's good… I always like it when it snows." He smiled gently as he drank his cocoa. "School will be starting back up soon."
"Mm… yeah. In like, two days or something." Melissa sighed softly, smiled dropping some. "Not looking forward to that."
"Mm… it might be nice to be back, though. I haven't seen any of our friends in ages. Hopefully I'll be able to do baseball again…"
“I guess so… but I just- I’m gonna be honest, I’m not looking forward to it at all. Like, I’m happy for you, but I really don’t want to go back.” Melissa mumbled, finishing off her coco.
"Yeah… I'm sure I won't be so excited about it after I've already been there a few days." Lucas laughed weakly.
Melissa gave a weak smile, nodding a little. "Yeah…" After that, she curled up by his side, playing with her fingers in silence.
Lucas soon finished his hot chocolate and huddled up against Melissa's side with a contented sigh.
Melissa looked up at him, smiling a bit when he curled up. "Love you, Lucas…" She hummed softly, taking his hand in hers.
"I love you too, Mel…" Lucas smiled gently up at Melissa and laced his fingers with hers.
Melissa's smile softened as she curled up in his arms again. "Mm… I'm still kinda tired…" She mumbled, using him as a pillow.
