"Love you too, Mel." Lucas gently kissed Melissa and carried her back home. "We're here, love."
"Love you too, Mel." Lucas gently kissed Melissa and carried her back home. "We're here, love."
Melissa looked up at him, giving him a sleepy smile. “Mm… thanks for carrying me.” She hummed, sitting up so he could put her down if he wanted to.
"No problem, Mel." Lucas carefully set Melissa down. "You want to make the snowman now?"
"Mm, sure…" Melissa yawned, rubbing her eyes a bit. "And then we can go inside, right?"
"Yeah. We could go in now if you don't really feel like making a snowman." Lucas shrugged a bit.
"No, no I want to." Melissa insisted, taking his hand and leading him towards the middle of the yard. "I just know I'm going to be ready to go in after we make it."
"Mmkay. You want some hot cocoa when we go in?" Lucas asked, following Melissa into the yard.
"Maybeeeee~" Melissa hummed, looking up at him with a bubbly smile. "I mean, I wouldn't turn my nose up at it."
Lucas smiled gently and settled himself down on the ground, starting to roll a big snowball for the snowman.
Melissa looked over to him, smiling in return as she started working on a smaller one. "Mm, can cuddle when we get inside?"
"Yeah, sure. Happy to do that, Mel." Lucas kept rolling the ball until it was big enough.
Melissa gave Lucas a grin as she pushed the snowball she had made over to him. "Is this big enough?" She asked, standing up.
"Mmm… yeah, I think so." Lucas carefully lifted Melissa's snowball onto his own larger one.
Melissa gave him a soft smile, glancing around the yard. "He needs a face… and arms." She mumbled, taking a couple of steps before picking up a stone. "There's not much out here for that though."
"Right. I'll go look in the backyard." Lucas got up and headed to the backyard. He returned a few minutes later with some sticks and rocks.
Melissa was laying in the snow as she waited for Lucas to come back, spread out as she made a snow angel. Looking up at him when he came back, she smiled and waved. "Hi! Any luck?"
"Yeah, I've got some stuff." Lucas sat down beside Melissa and started decorating the snowman."
Melissa smiled, sitting up enough to lay her head on his lap. "Can I help?" She asked softly, looking up at him.
"If you want to, yeah." Lucas held a stick out to Melissa, smiling softly.
Melissa took it from him, sitting up so she could help him. "Mm… did we ever name our other snowmen?"
"Not that I remember, but we could name this one if you wanted." Lucas shrugged a bit.
“Mmm… maybe.” Melissa shrugged as well, sitting back on the ground. Resting her head on his shoulder, she laced her fingers with his. “I don’t really have any ideas though…”
"Well, we don't have to, or we can name him later if you'd like." He kissed Melissa's cheek and hummed softly to himself.
“Mm… maybe later then. I’m sure something will come to me.” Melissa shrugged a bit, kissing his cheek. “Ready to head inside?”
"Mhmm. We can make some hot cocoa and cuddle on the couch. How does that sound?" Lucas asked with a soft smile.
“Sounds fantastic!” Melissa grinned, getting up off the ground and brushing off her pants.
Lucas led Melissa inside and wandered into the kitchen, humming softly to himself. "Peppermint or normal?"
“Normal is just fine,” Melissa hummed, walking into the kitchen with him. Keeping a hold on his hand, she looked up at him with a smile. “Can I help?”
"Sure, if you want to." Lucas grabbed two packets of normal hot chocolate out of the pantry. "What do you wanna do?"
“I dunno… whatever you need me to do I guess.” Melissa shrugged, going to grab mugs for the both of them. “I’m happy to do whatever.”
