He did as directed, smiling lightly at her.
He did as directed, smiling lightly at her.
She smiled sweetly back and continued to give direction when it was needed but overall enjoying the game. And enjoying the time with Killian.
Killian was glad to be able to hang out with her for a while, just enjoying this time.
Jade smiled softly, very glad for how this afternoon had turned around. She had been a little worried when Killian received that phone call from Alex which is one reason she had wanted to come with him to heard the news. But she was relieved that he had at least two very nice family members and was very touched that they had invited her to spend time with them and Killian.
Killian gave her a faint smile, most of his concentration still on the game. In a perfect world, this would be normal. In a perfect world, he might even have both parents alive, well, and not behind bars. In a perfect world, he could be Jade's partner in apprehending those who broke the law, instead of the one breaking it.
In that same perfect world, Jade would be more than happy with that arrangement. Working with Killian would be very interesting and could even be fun. But it was only a fantasy for now and, considering Killian’s past, it wasn't likely to change any time soon.
Killian wasn't likely to change, no. This was all he knew, really.
Even though some more logical part of her already knew this, or at least suspected it, Jade would be saddened if it was confirmed in some way. But for now, she was content not to think about it and just enjoy the rest of their day together.
Killian kissed he cheek again, smiling a little as they played their game.
Jade giggled softly, her face gaining a light pink tint, as she managed to keep her focus on the game.
He turned back to the game again, not wanting to mess it up.
She smiled and quickly kissed his cheek in return.
He smiled happily, still playing with her.
She chuckled slightly, glad to see that smile on his face, and steered their character again.
He continued playing with her, smiling as the progressed further and further.
“I don't remember but do they have time limits on these games?” she asked, smiling at him.
He shrugged faintly. "I have no idea." He smiled back at her.
“Ok.” she giggled lightly.
He laughed a little, turning back to the game.
“Oh, watch out!” she smiled, helping to steer their character out of danger.
He laughed again, doing his best to assist.
She laughed with him as their character was moved to safety.
He was smiling as their character made it to safety, eyes narrowing a little on concentration.
“That was close.” she smiled, still laughing lightly.
He laughed a little s well. "Yeah."
She smiled as they fell back into the rhythm of the game. “After that, I think we might be getting close to the end of this.”
He smiled a little. "We better be."
She giggled a little and kissed his cheek.
He grinned lightly, then returned his focus to the game.
She smiled back, turning back to the game as well.
