"Yeah, same. Hopefully it'll get warmer soon enough, yeah?" Lucas yawned a bit and sighed.
"Yeah, same. Hopefully it'll get warmer soon enough, yeah?" Lucas yawned a bit and sighed.
"Mmm, yeah… I dunno how much more of this cold I can handle." She admitted, lacing her fingers with his. "I mean, as long as I have you to cuddle with I should be fine."
"We can head back home whenever you want to, Melissa." Lucas said softly. "I'm happy to leave whenever."
"No, it's okay. We did just get here, after all." Melissa hummed a bit, looking up at him. "I mean, we have to something before we go home. Otherwise, it seems silly that we came in the first place."
Lucas shrugged a bit. "I mean, I've had fun regardless of how long we decide to stay, Mel."
"Is it because I have to buy you a treat now?" She teased, gently poking his side.
"Eh, more or less. I just like spending time with you, love." He hummed happily.
"Mmm… sure thing. I still think it's because you won." Melissa continued to tease, head resting on his shoulder. "But if you really think I'm a likable person…"
"Of course I do, Melissa. I happen to like you a whole lot." Lucas gently kissed Melissa again.
Melissa laughed softly, reaching up to hold a hand to his face. "And I like you a whole lot…" She hummed, gently kissing him in return.
"Thaaaanks, Mel~" Lucas stuck his tongue out a bit and grinned brightly. "You're the best~"
Giggling a bit at his change in tone, she gently kissed the tip of his nose. "No, you~" Melissa chirped, before burying her face in his shoulder.
Lucas snickered a bit and held Melissa close to himself. "Yeah, yeah. I'm really fine with heading back soon, though."
Melissa smiled softly, looking up at him. "Mm… well maybe we can head back soon. Though when we get back, I kinda want to play in the snow. I don't mind sitting here, but it really only snow's like this once a year."
"Yeah, I guess so. Wanna make a snowman?" Lucas asked with a bright smile. "It could be fun~"
"Mm, sure! Are we doing it here?" She asked softly, lifting her head up. "Or do you wanna build it at the house?"
"Probably back at the house. There's more snow in your front yard." Lucas smiled gently.
“That’s true…” Melissa hummed softly, reaching up the play with his hair. “Guess we’ll do it there.”
"Sounds good to me." Lucas yawned a bit and leaned back against the willow with a soft hum.
Melissa continued to quietly play with his hair, shivering a bit in his arms. Eventually she curled back up in his arms, trying to take in more of his warmth.
Lucas closed his eyes with a soft hum and kept Melissa close to himself to keep both of them warm. "Just let me know if you wanna go home."
“Will do…” Melissa hummed, taking hold of his hand. She buried her face in his shoulder, growing more and more cuddly.
Lucas rested his head against Melissa's and hummed softly, his breath clouding in front of himself and his cheeks and nose pink from the cold.
Melissa smiled weakly, content to be here for a while. Eventually her eyes started to grow heavy, slowly starting to nod off in his arms.
"You think it's time to head back?" Lucas asked, looking down at Melissa with a gentle smile.
“Hmm?” Melissa mumbled a bit, looking up at him. Rubbing at her eyes, she sat up in his arms. “Mm… I guess so.”
"You can take a nap before we build our snowman, if you'd like." Lucas got to his feet with Melissa in his arms.
Melissa looked up at him, shaking her head. “Mm, no I’ll be alright… m’just sleepy right now.” She insisted, resting her head on his shoulder.
"Alright." Lucas carried Melissa through the trees, humming softly to himself as he did so. "We should be home soon."
Melissa smiled softly, content to stay in his arm. “Mm… alright, Lu.” She hummed, burying her face in his shoulder. “I love you~”
