Knox followed Ciaran he hoped he would do well on this assignment after all he really wanted to do well in this school he awkwardly fidgeted with his hands worrying about what the teacher would think

The teacher congratulated them on their work and Ciaran headed back to start cleaning up the mess she and Knox had made. She poured out the extra potion and began scrubbing the cauldron.

Knox started to clean the measuring tool he had used and the knife he had used “so your hand feeling better?” At this point he attempted to make conversation with Ciaran

"My hand is fine and always has been fine. Why are you so worried about it?" Ciaran kept scrubbing the cauldron, her owl watching curiously from her shoulder.

“Nevermind, so do you know any magic” he wondered how far ahead of him she would actually be, she was obviously more experienced than him he sort of idolized her for that

"Yes, I know magic. Not really much more than simple spells, and we're not normally allowed to use them during school unless we're doing particular things that require it in class, so…"

He listened intently to her this whole world was entirely new to him “ so you said you’ve been going here for a year now right?” He felt like he had an understanding of how the school worked but it was likely that his understanding would be flipped on its head

"Mhmm." Ciaran finished cleaning the cauldron and started throwing away all the trash. "The older kids have been going here longer, obviously. I'm really no expert."

“Your definitely more adept then me” he was glad he was able to foster a friendship with this girl overall she was kind and smart And very intimidating overall a good mix “from the spell perspective I know nothing I hope I can catch up” he spoke in a worried tone

"It's not that hard. As long as you're not a complete dumbass and you actually put forth an ounce of effort, you'll be fine." Ciaran washed her hands, grabbed her things, and started heading out the door.

Knox followed her out the door he thought she was starting to warm up to him “I really enjoyed doing that with you” he spoke scincearly and looked a bit away from her as he spoke

"Mm. I'm sure you'll be doing plenty more of those with plenty more people." Ciaran sighed softly and kept walking, adjusting her grip on her things as she headed towards her next class.

(I’m alive sorry, so do you think they should stay on site of the campus or somewhere else)
“I really hope we can do that again, for now anyway friends?” He held out his hand for a high five and awkwardly let it hang up there for a moment

Ciaran sighed softly and shook her head a bit as she walked along. "Keep dreaming. We've known each other for like, one class period. We can't be considered friends yet."
