[8 hours after getting the call from Jody the Winchesters arrive in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It took a hour to gather their gear and another 5-to-6 just to make the drive up from the Men of Letters bunker in Lebanon, Kansas.]
DEAN: [Sits back down at their booth after going to the restroom to find that the rather cute waitress had delivered the double bacon burger that he had ordered.] "Damn, that looks delicious!" [Looks at it again to see that the place doesn't skimp on the bacon. Grins happily.] "Most places just put a couple a pieces!"
LEVI: [Examines the burger and chuckles.] "That thing's a heart attack waiting to happen." [Eating a chef salad with a lemon vinaigrette drizzled over top.]
DEAN: "Funny coming from the guy that ate an entire deer last month."
SAM: [Eating the same thing that Levi ordered. Going over some of the reports that Jody had waiting for them.]
(It's fine…. Use the same bracket that's used for actions.)
[After parking her car and trailer not too far away, just enough that a trailer wouldn't be suspicious, Harriet decided to get a real sit down meal before starting her investigation. She walks into a cute little homey diner and looks around for an empty seat.]
HARRIET: ”I don’t believe it…” [her jaw dropped for a moment before she carefully walks over to the Winchester’s table.]
LEVI: [Looked over when she came in.] "Apparently we're not the only ones that heard about the disappearances." [Slides over to make room for her.] "Hi Harriet. It's been a while."
[Sam and Dean exchange glances.]
SAM and DEAN: [In unison.] "Did you call her?"
LEVI: "Uh, no…."
HARRIET: ”Hey, Levi.” [smiles and gratefully accepts the seat] ”No one called me, guys. I was already on the road when I heard about a missing persons case around here on the… ”radio”. Got curious and decided to check it out.”
SAM: [Takes a bite from his salad.]
DEAN: "Ah. 'Radio'. I got ya." [Winks.]
LEVI: "Hopefully things don't get as… crazy as they did the last time we worked together."
HARRIET: [chuckles a little and winks back though she shivers at Levi’s comment] ”Oh, God, I hope not. But at least this time I’m a bit more prepared and have my trailer.”
SAM: "So far all we know is that these people just vanish with no word or anything."
DEAN: "Who's the most recent? That would be the best place to start." [Takes a huge bite of his burger, savoring the flavor.]
SAM: [Looks at the file that Jody managed to copy for them.] "Someone named Nadia Stone."
LEVI: "Friends and family?"
SAM: "She lived with her roommate and coworker, Jessica Porter. As for her family, Nadia's mother is deceased, her father lives in a different state, and her brother is incarcerated."
HARRIET: [nods at the name since it was the same one she heard on the scanner.] ”Anything in that report about if any of the victims have anything in common before they disappeared or do we have to do a little more digging to get to that?” [looks up when a waitress comes over and politely orders a swiss mushroom burger with fries and a brownie to go.] With how fast Dean seems to eat, I can only hope I get my food before we head out…
LEVI: [Had been eating between talking and finishes his salad. Takes a drink of his strawberry-lemonade.] Hmmm…. Sounds like we should take a look at where Ms. Stone worked, and have a chat with Ms. Porter."
(Making a note for myself…. W Madison St and N Menlo Ave)
HARRIET: [sighs a little but nods again] ”Agreed. Should we team up and tackle the two at the same time or go as a group?”
(I do want to continue. Unfortunately I have a headache atm.)
(It's ok. Self-health comes first.)
SAM: "Just that each of them disappeared without saying anything to anyone."
LEVI: "I'm good with another team up."
DEAN: [Shrugs.] "I guess another set of eyes and ears never hurts."
HARRIET: [chuckles a little] ”Good, because I was planning on sticking around anyway. But what I meant was, if all four of us should go talk to Ms. Porter together or if we should divide and conquer since it sounds like we have two locations to hit?”
DEAN: "I say we stay together since we don't know what we're dealing with here. Much less whether it's supernatural related or not."
HARRIET: [shrugs a little] ”Fair enough.”
(…. I'm feeling braindead for some reason.)
(It's ok. It's probably because the series finale is on tonight… Well, I guess right now, huh?)
(I'm 1000% not okay right now. However it's okay that I'm not okay…. I'm likely going to need some time to recoup after tonight.)
(Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. Take your time but I hope you feel better soon.)
(Going to need another day or two then I'll come back to this.)
(Ok. I can wait… but I am looking forward to continuing this. 😊)
(I have returned! I got busy with family time and dealing with signing up for SSI, the latter causing stress-induced headaches. Gonna skim through real quick then respond.)
DEAN: "I think that we should start with talking to the roommate."
HARRIET: [nods at Dean as her food finally arrives] ”Alright.” [waits for the server to leave] ”What angle are we going to use? And how do we explain the… unusual number for our group? You have to admit, most cases are easier to believe with a group of two at the most.” Not that I've had much experience with that since I usually fly solo… Unless Peter or Matthias tag along, and that’s messy enough.
