“You have a wife? You looked single when I first assessed you. Single, and a little pathetic,” she said distractedly, looking into the back of the cab. “It’s a good thing you have a wife. She’s either too good for you or way below your level, probably. I’m just guessing based on the vibes I get from you.” she explained. Lydia shared every single thought she had regardless of whether or not you’d asked, and some people (most, actually) found that annoying.

(:O d a m n)

Kim had been moving to get out of the door, but froze in pure shock. That fast of a change in demeanor, huh? "I–yeah, she's the best thing that's ever happened to me," she said, then followed the girl's gaze. "Oh, haha…the Mess. I guess that wouldn't exactly give off the impression of someone who has her life together, huh?"

(Lydia do be quite blunt at times.)

“Yeah, sorry about that. I just tend to have. Well, a lot of opinions. Sorry again.” she blushed, ruffling her hair out of nervousness. Why did she always shout out what she thought? Why was she so useless, why were her words so all over the place?

(Aaah shit, sorry!)

Kim just laughed. "Don't apologize for having opinions, we've all got 'em. Sometimes it's just a matter of knowing what things you should say and when, and trust me, sweetie, not everyone gets the hang of that." She flashed the girl a smile and then got out of the truck.

"Sorry again, though. Mom always said I'd hurt people like that, and then they'd wanna deck me." she mumbled, following out of the truck and onto the pavement.

Oh, this poor kid needed a hug so badly. "It all depends on what you're saying and who you're saying it to. The golden rule's always good to stick to, you know." Kim held the door for the girl when they got to the building.
