Simon set Mia back down on the nightstand gently before carefully taking Astral’s hand, letting the other pull him to his feet.
Astral let out a happy hum, even still holding Simon's hands as he led the other man to the kitchen.
"Anything you'd like? I can make most anything!" Astral was in a very, very good mood.
He shook his head. “I’ll just eat whatever you want to make.” It was weird, seeing Astral acting like this, it wasn’t like the other had been cruel to him in the past, he’d just never seen Astral this happy. And for seemingly no reason. He sat down at the counter, feeling a bit relieved when Astral finally let go of him.
Astral made his way over to the counter, looking through the cabinets for ingredients.
"Mm, okay then!" Astral turned to Simon a moment, still smiling.
Simon smiled as well when Astral did. He couldn’t really help it, he liked seeing the other happy. “H-hey Astral?” He began, figuring he might as well ask this while the god seemed to be in a good mood.
Astral had started cooking, cracking a few eggs into a pan. He looked over, tilting his head a bit.
"Yes?" He asked, still smiling.
“I-is it okay if we go back down to Earth, just for today? M-maybe get a few of my things?” He had been wearing the same clothes for the past week. “I won’t try and run away or anything.” He asked, looking down at the counter while he spoke, finally looking up a bit at Astral once he finished speaking, fully expecting the other to say no.
Astral thought a moment over what Simon suggested. Would it be safe for the baby? He could see no reason not to, really. He knew Simon couldn't get away if he tried.
"Sure, why not!" Astral smiled at Simon sweetly.
He looked up at Astral more, a wide smile appearing on his face. “R-really? Thank you!!” He said, his mood having significantly improved now, to where he was almost as happy as Astral was.
Astral grinned, dishing out the eggs and bacon he'd made. He set Simon's plate down, hugging him a moment before going to sit down.
"You're welcome!" Simon had been good- besides, he felt like spoiling the man a bit.
Simon began to eat, of course rather slowly and only taking small amounts, but he was happier now. He hummed softly as he ate.
Astral had a healthy appetite, eating quietly. He looked up to see Simon picking at his food. He worried a moment- what about the baby?
"Not hungry?" He asked after a moment.
He flushed with embarrassment, nodding a bit. “I’m sorry…” he said quietly.
"No, no, it's alright. I just want to make sure you get enough to eat. It's important to take care of yourself." Astral let his empty plate to the side, reaching over to lightly rest his hand on Simon's.
He smiled softly at the other. “That’s very kind of you…” he said quietly, trying to eat a bit more for Astral’s sake.
Astral let out a soft sigh. He was glad Simon was trying, but if he forced himself he wouldn't be about to take much more.
"We can eat again later, when you actually have an appetite," he said softly. "It's okay."
“O-okay.” He said, stopping, looking up at the other.
Astral stood, taking Simon's plate. He smiled gently. To be quite frank, if Simon kept this up Astral would strap him to a chair and force feed him until the child was born. But, for now, he let it slide. He hummed softly, going to the sink to deal with their plates.
((Noooo it’s not his fault ;-;))
“Do you need help?” He asked when Astral started doing the dishes. He didn’t want to cause more problems for the other today than he already had.
Astral looked down when Simon came over.
"You can if you want to!" He set a plate down in the drainer, offering Simon a towel.
He smiled a bit at that. “Thank you.” He said, taking the towel from Astral and starting to dry the dishes.
"You're welcome!" Astral hummed as they worked together, still in a good mood. He wasn't sure there was anything that could happen this day that would change that, and that was okay. He was almost giddy at the thought of raising his own child- maybe Simon would even get to help, too.
Simon enjoyed the feeling of actually doing something for once. He moved rather quickly, and they were both done in no time.
Astral noticed the change in Simon, smiling some. Perhaps it wouldn't be too bad to let the man help around. Still, he needed to keep the work to a minimum.
"So, ready to go?"
He nodded excitedly, smiling widely at the other. “Mhm!” He was glad Astral was letting them go.
"Let's go, then!" Arien offered his hand to Simon, just like he had that very first time. He was grinning back at Simon.
"Don't forget to close your eyes."
He took Astral’s hand and did as he was told, closing his eyes, excited to get going.
Astral pulled Simon close, wrapping both arms around him to make sure the human was secure. In a flash of light, they were in the human world. Astral had taken on his more human form, grinning down at Simon.
"We're here!"
He smiled, opening his eyes. It was nice to be back. “So what do we want to do?” He asked, looking up at the other.
Astral looked around, shrugging just a touch.
"You did say you'd like to get some things. Perhaps we could go shopping?"
