(It's all good lmao)
"Mm, alright then," Cyrus agreed, flipping up the laptop screen and logging in.
He pulled up a list of movies for them to choose from and tilted it so Marcus could see.
"Anything catch your eye?"

"Mm, alright then," Cyrus agreed, flipping up the laptop screen and logging in.
He pulled up a list of movies for them to choose from and tilted it so Marcus could see.
"Anything catch your eye?"
( 😂 Thankss)
Marcus tilted his head to look over the screen, his eyes wide and curious. There were so many choose from, so many he hadn’t seen or hadn’t ever finished. It made his heart swell in excitement.
“I’m really okay with any of them!!”
"Let's see… how about Phantom of the Opera or something?" Cyrus suggested, "It's got some fun orchestral music in it, actually, so I think you might like it."
He scooted a bit closer to Marcus, balancing the laptop on the thigh that wasn't injured.
"God, you're adorable."
"Phantom of the Opera? That's the one with the masked guy, right?" He asked, offering his hand to Cyrus as he looked at the other curiously. He didn't comment on the music comment but his eyes sparkled with a joy he couldn't suffocate fast enough. Orchestral sounds played at his heartstrings in a way he just couldn't describe without answering it with music of his own.
"Mm, I am not." He stuck his tongue out, giggling softly. "If anyone is adorable its you."
"Mhm," Cyrus confirmed, "I dunno, you just look really happy and bright. It's cute. You can't deny it."
He leaned over into Marcus a little more.
"God, I wish I wasn't hurt. I just want to cuddle you to death."
He clicked on the movie and let it go to full screen, then tried to get comfortable between the pillows and his boyfriend.
“I’m happy because I’m with you.” He rumbled, pink dusting his cheeks. “And maybe also because I love orchestral music.” He laughed softly, resting his head against Cyrus’s as the other grew close.
“We can still hold hands and lean against each other. Once you’re better we can cuddle all we want.” Marcus offered a small smile and settled down as the movie started.
"I know, I'm just impatient," Cyrus whined softly.
He quieted up when the movie started and settled for Marcus brushing up comfortably against him.
Even just a few minutes in, he found himself fighting off sleep again.
Ugh… what's wrong with me?
“I know love, it’ll go by quick.” He promised quietly, nuzzling into the other’s hair for a moment.
The second the movie started he was enchanted by it. The music, the story, the characters, Marcus loved it all. He hummed along to the songs he had played before but never realized where they had come from, smiling brightly.
He wasn’t completely blind to Cyrus, however, and gently squeezed his hand. “Here, come sit in my lap and sleep.” He murmured quietly, nudging Cyrus gently.
“Can you do that comfortably?”
"Sorry, I don't think so," Cyrus murmured, "I can lean on you a bit, though. God, I'm so sleepy… Don't know what's up with me."
He placed a hand on Marcus' thigh and put himself in a half-sitting-up position so he could cuddle with Marcus, sleep, and maybe watch the movie if he continued to feel like it.
“That’s alright, go where it’s the most comfortable.” He replied, watching Cyrus carefully as he moved.
“You’re okay, you’re healing. It makes you sleepy.” Marcus smiled gently and set his hand on top of Cyrus’s. “Sleep, it’ll do you good.”
"I know," Cyrus sighed softly, "I just want to be with you~"
He leaned into Marcus' gentle touch.
"It's harder to love on you if I'm sleeping all the time," he complained.
Marcus giggled softly, running his fingers through Cyrus’s hair.
“You’re such a dork. I love you so much.” He purred happily, lacing their fingers together and giving his hand a tight squeeze.
“You can give me love after you wake up, how’s that? I’ll give you how ever many kisses you want.”
Cyrus cracked a smile.
"I don't think my body's going to give me a choice. But thanks. I love you so, so much. Take a guess at how much I love you, then multiply that by ten, and then you've got a good estimate."
Cyrus sleepily nuzzled into Marcus' shoulder.
Marcus hummed his approval, playing with Cyrus’s hair in hopes that would relax the other enough to sleep.
“I love you so so much too, my love. You’re everything I could have ever dreamed of. My savior and my love” He smiled back, choosing to watch Cyrus’s face. He found it more entertaining and captivating than any movie.
Cyrus hummed happily as he made himself comfortable and nodded off again, taking in Marcus' warmth. He was quiet and still, except for the occasional slight stirring of his body.
God, he was exhausted. Absolutely drained. But at least he had Marcus taking care of him. He would be sure to do something nice for him later as thanks.
Marcus hummed softly the music of the movie as he carefully closed and moved the laptop to a safer place. He watched Cyrus as he slept, smiling happily as he ran his fingers through the other’s hair. Eventually his own eyes started to droop and his body grew tired and heavy.
Marcus made sure not to move too much even as he slept, an old habit he had gained through years of dealing with Marx’s sudden switching attitude.
After a little bit, Cyrus woke up, gasping slightly. Nightmares were edging in on him again.
Yet, it was the pain that kept him from nodding right back off; he was probably going to need more medicine to keep that at bay.
He stilled himself just enough so he wouldn't wake Marcus.
Unfortunately for Cyrus, Marcus's body was trained to spring awake at any unnatural movements - a product of abuse - so he woke with the first movement.
Fortunately for Cyrus, Marcus's mind felt safe enough to remain sleepy. He didn't even open his eyes as he shifted and yawned sleepily.
"'mm whats… wrong…?" he questioned, half asleep and already on the verge of falling back to his dreams. In fact, he was more asleep than awake, caught in that strange place between the waking world and the world of the sleep.
"I'm fine, go back to sleep," Cyrus murmured.
He went to check the time, and when he determined it had been long enough, he grabbed for the pill bottle on the bedside and took a couple more.
Cyrus sat back up and scrolled through his phone mindlessly.
Marcus mumbled something incoherent, yawning and stretching out his sore limbs. He rolled back over and fell back into sleep.
He didn’t wake up until nearly morning, when a phantom grip around his neck had him jolting awake. He didn’t panic at first, letting his body tense up and freeze as he waited for the abuse to start. It never did so he let himself relax very slowly.
Cyrus had gone back to sleep for a while, and was still half-asleep when his boyfriend woke up. When he felt definite movement next to him, he reached over and brushed a hand against Marcus.
"Mm… good morning," he murmured, "Sleep okay?"
Marcus hummed at the touch, drawing towards it with a soft sigh.
“Morning… I slept okay.” He reached out to take Cyrus’s hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. “You?”
"More or less, yeah. I slept alright."
Cyrus tilted his head a bit and stretched. He'd woken up a few times, in pain, and it had been a very restless sleep as it was, plagued with nightmares. All things considered, it wasn't that bad. After all, he'd slept.
Marcus mumbled a soft: ‘that’s good’ as he shifted slightly to lift his free hand to his neck. He felt for that phantom hand that woke him, but was relieved to find it had disappeared already.
He brushed it off and turned to face Cyrus, smiling softly at him.
“Are you hungry, love? I can go out and get something for you. Thirsty?”
"Not particularly hungry, but I could use something to drink. Though it'd probably be best for me to eat anyway, huh?" Cyrus replied, "I'm sure we have cereal or something you can just stick in the microwave."
He shifted so he was sitting up. His side and leg both hurt, but it didn't have that same shock and intensity as the day before.
“It would be good for you to eat.” He replied, nodding his head at the recommendations.
“Anything in particular you want?” He asked with a soft smile, leaning over to nuzzle Cyrus’s cheek.
"Not really. Just whatever we have in the pantry should be fine," he said, "You're welcome to anything there, too."
Cyrus leaned into the gentle touch on his cheek.
“Alright. Thank you, my love.” He hummed in response, taking in the soft moment they shared.
“I kinda don’t want to leave this. I can’t wait until we can just spend hours and days in bed cuddling without any worries.”
"Yeah, same," Cyrus mused, "And the only reason we'll ever have to leave each other's side is for like… work. But normal work. It'd be so nice, honestly. Have you ever thought about what kind of job you might like to have?"
It was so difficult to let Marcus leave, even if it was just to go to another room.
Marcus took a moment to think, biting his lip to keep from smiling too brightly. He didn’t want to admit how stupidly happy the thought of a normal job made him.
“I don’t know… I’ve never thought about it. I don’t have much to bring to the table, but I’m sure I could do something.”
