His hand found it’s way back to Arien’s hair, gently messing with it as he continued to speak softly. “This is gonna sound crazy but…I think I love you. Stupid, right? I’m just a human after all…”

Arien's head tilted into Rafael's hand a bit, but he didn't seem to have any reaction to what Rafael said. He really was asleep then… Except, of course, the faint blush on his cheeks. Still, he knew Rafael wouldn't be able to tell by that, so he kept still, breathing even.
He sighed softly before laying down next to Arien, gently wrapping his arms around the other.
Arien snuggled a bit closer in his 'sleep,' calm and happy in Rafael's arms.
(Timeskip?)
(Ye)
Arien eventually opened his eyes, wrapping his arms around Rafael in turn.
"Rafael," he said softly, yawning. "What time is it?"
“Dude I can’t see, how am I supposed to know.” He laughed softly. “At least an hour or so I think.”
Arien let out a soft chuckle when Rafael laughed.
"Ah- right!" He sat up just a bit, looking at the clock. "Right… well, that means the sun should have set by now."
“Then…should we get going then?” He asked nervously
"Yeah… are you ready for that?" Arien sat up some more, taking Rafael's hand in his.
He nodded. “Ready as I’ll ever be I guess.” He smiled weakly, squeezing Arien’s hand for reassurance.
Arien squeezed back lightly. He stood, Rafael's hand still in his.
"Then let's get going." He helped Rafael up.
“You better not drop me or anything on our way there.” He said jokingly, his smile widening.
"I'll make sure not to." Arien smiled, scooping Rafael up in his arms. His head still felt light, but he could handle carrying Rafael until he found someone to eat.
Rafael smiled, leaning his head on Arien’s chest. “Well then..let’s get going, shall we?” He said.
"Yes, let's." Arien held Rafael close, one hand resting on Rafael's head. He started off, smiling softly.
Even though he couldn’t see anything, he still felt much safer than the first time Arien had taken him like this. For now, he just let himself relax back into the other’s chest.
Arien made the trip as smooth as he could, letting out a soft hum. Eventually, though, he had to come to a stop.
"I need to eat," Arien said softly. "I… I think it might be best if you aren't there when I do." He didn't want to terrify Rafael…
He nodded, biting his lip softly. “Just try and come back as quick as you can, okay? I’ll just stay wherever you want me to.”
"Okay then." Arien looked around a moment, then lightly sat Rafael down.
"I'll only be a couple minutes, promise," he said softly.
“Okay…” he said softly, still reluctant to let Arien go. He reassured himself that Arien would only be gone for a few minutes and then he let go of the other.
Arien held Rafael for a moment, then pulled away. He left, not going too far away. He'd spotted another man, slowly approaching from the shadows.
Rafael wrapped his arms around himself, shivering a bit. He naturally started listening to what was going on around him, to either hear when Arien was coming back, or if anyone else in general was approaching him.
Arien was silent, managing to grab the man. The man let out a scream, which Arien cut short. He drank quickly, setting the body down when he was done. This should last him a while. He hurried back, not hiding his steps now.
Rafael heard the scream in the distance and instinctively tensed up, but he did as he had been told and stayed put. But his knee began bouncing nervously as he waited for Arien.
Arien wiped his mouth off, looking around as he hurried back to Rafael.
"I'm back," he said, so Rafael wouldn't freak out. "How are you doing?"
“I’m okay. Nothing happened to me so yeah I guess I’m all good.” He thought back to the scream he’d heard a few minutes ago, hesitating before asking. “Did you…kill him..?”
Arien took Rafael in his arms, quiet a moment.
"No," he said. "He's just unconscious."
Rafael nodded, leaning back on the other. “And you’re not lying to me..right?” He asked quietly. He wanted to believe Arien but he just had to be sure.
"I'm not." Arien figured Rafael wouldn't be too keen on him killing people anymore, so he'd stop for the human's sake. "He'll be light-headed, and probably need to get a blood transfusion, but he'll be fine."
