Melissa held back the little smile, resting her head on his shoulder. "Mm… you look perkier." She mumbled softly, running her thumb over his lower lip.

"A little bit, yeah… thanks, Mel." Lucas leaned into Melissa's hand and closed his eyes, relaxing a bit.

Melissa let the smile pull up, gently holding his chin. With a light sigh, she glanced up at the television as the movie kept playing.

Lucas turned his attention back to the screen as well, seeming to be content to be quiet for now.

Melissa hummed the music quietly under her breath as they lay there, her mind starting to wander. Eventually her mind went blank as she stared at the screen.

Soon before the movie ended, Lucas seemed to have dozed off again at Melissa's side.

When Melissa glanced over at Lucas after a while, she sighed softly and kissed his forehead. Instead of waking him up, she just let him sleep, dozing off in his arms not long after.

Lucas managed to sleep through the night, although he still awoke earlier than he'd have liked to. "Mmm…"

Melissa was still curled up next to him, curled up in his arms. She didn’t stir when he started waking up, still dead asleep.

Lucas sighed softly as he looked down at Melissa, closing his eyes and keeping quiet to wait for her to wake up.

Slowly Melissa started to wake up, curling up even closer. Eventually she groaned quietly, looking up at him, expecting him to be asleep. “Lu..?”

"Mornin', Mel…" Lucas mumbled, kissing Melissa's cheek softly. "How'd you sleep?"

"Mm…. fine, I guess. What about you?" Melissa asked softly, rubbing at her eyes a little.

"Fine…" Lucas shrugged a bit and kissed Melissa again. "I dunno what time it is, but it's earlier than I'd like to be awake…"

Melissa sighed weakly, resting her head on his chest. "Then go back to sleeeeeeeep… I'm tired." She mumbled, pulling him close.

"But I caaaaan't… I already tried, Mel." Lucas whined. "I caaaan't…"

"Mm… but I'm sleepy…" Melissa insisted, huddling up even closer. "Why can't youuu?"

"I dunno, love… I just can't do it…" Lucas sighed softly.

"Mmm…" Melissa sighed weakly, sitting herself up right. "I'm gonna need a nap, later…"

"Yeah… what do you want for breakfast?" Lucas asked.

"Mmmm, I don't know…" Melissa mumbled, pulling him closer. "I don't wanna eat…"

"But you gottaaaa… food is good for you, Mel." Lucas sighed.

"But I don't wanna…" Melissa mumbled, burying her face in his chest. "M'not hungry…"

"But Melllll…" Lucas pulled Melissa closer. "You gotta eattt…"

"But Luuuuu…" Melissa continued to whine as she curled up closer. "I don't want toooooo…"

Lucas whined in return, keeping Melissa close. "But you gottaaaaa…"

Melissa rested her chin on his shoulder, whining quietly. "I… I don't want to, though…"

"I know you don't, Mel, but we gotta get you on a regular, healthy eating schedule…"

"But… why? I- I'm fine, I… I don't wanna eat…" Melissa insisted, scooting closer to him.

"Because eating is good for you, babe. And we can't have you skipping any more meals, now can we?"
