So I’ve been playing around with this idea for ages. Basically, it takes traditional campy fantasy tropes and makes them gayer but also subverts a few tropes as well. The plot is as follows:
The princess Anna of the kingdom of Harol has been kidnapped by a dragon sent by the dark vampire wizard Wren, the Mad Doomwhisperer. Her girlfriend, the good knight Destiny, has taken it upon herself to save her girlfriend and prove to the kingdom her worthiness for Anna’s hand in marriage. She can’t do it alone, however, and so hires a team of mercenaries and knights alike to help her on her quest. Our team is composed of:
The sneaky rogue with a heart of gold trope personified.
A retired knight who’s basically the team parent
A jaded mercenary who secretly just wants to be accepted by the people around them.
A wizard in training who only knows how to cast fireball. As is traditional.
And an uncharismatic bard who means well and wants to write a poem of their adventures together.
Together they plan to save the princess and then defeat the dark vampire wizard Wren, the Mad Doomwhisperer, once and for all.

This has a PG-13 rating. Violence, swearing, and dark humor is fine.

Appearance: Sylvia has long curly brown hair and deep green eye's. She has a round face and Doe like eye's. She is 5'2'', rather petite. She wears a White poet's shirt and Olive green pants, she occasionally wears a dark brown waist coat or a Dress of the same color over top. She has a light blue cloak.
Personality: Sylvia is friendly if you can get her to talk to you, she's unusually quiet for a bard. She is extremely loyal, and forgiving, but painfully bad at talking to people.
Role: Uncharismatic Bard
Other: She play's the Lyre , the Pan flute, and the tin whistle, all of which she caries on her person.
Name: Louis Alastair
Age: 42
Gender: Male He/Him or They/Them; he's fine with both
Orientation: Bisexual (He's attracted to all genders, but prefers to use bi as a label.)
Appearance: Our friend here stands at around 6'2" (187.9 cm) and weighs 185 pounds (84.1 kg). He has a rectangular figure with some muscle build. His jet black hair almost matches the color of his monolid eyes. Louis likes to have his hair short but it still manages to get in front of his face; it's always messy even after he tries to pat it down. As a (retired) knight, he wears your typical sliver plated armor with chain mail and a blue+white rose coat of arms. Here's what his helmet looks like. (Character Reference)
Personality: Louis is not your average knight in shiny armor. Yes he respects chivalry, but prefers to bend the rules when it comes to his benefit. The man has a kind helpful heart that loyally beats to a drum. Sure he can be brutal, blunt, and very serious at times, but it only happens half of the time or so. He can be very vibrant or the equivalent of a gargoyle statue. Louis tends to look after others as well as talking like a paternal figure; no one's sure how he can to be that way, it just happened. He doesn't mind revealing secrets much or making a joke here and there. The man is pretty terrible at hiding his emotions no matter how much he doesn't want to talk about it. For some reason he feels very lonely from time to time. Even if Louis is bleeding out, feels lethargic, or is having another lightheaded spell, he manages to push on just fine.
Role: Retired knight who’s basically the team parent
Background (optional): Louis doesn't have a birthday because he was abandoned when he was a baby. Thankfully his adopted father made an educated accurate guess after picking up Louis and deciding to take him in. Nothing really much happened after that till he was seven. Since his older brother managed to cheat his way out of the responsibility, it was Louis who got sent to train to become a knight. He didn't really think much about it nor care; he felt like becoming a knight was his purpose in life. Although, his Achilles's heel is feeling light headed in certain scenarios which sometimes felt like a curse. Knighthood was a hell of an adventure, but he enjoyed most of it. Sadly his body started to become weak for battle and tournaments so Louis had to retire at forty-one. (More development in rp most likely)
Other: He enjoys hugs very much. And his horse is named Alexander, who also likes hugs too.

Name: Princess Anna of House Brimstone

Gender: Cis woman, she/her
Orientation: Gay for specifically Destiny and nobody else. So probably a demi lesbian.
Appearance: Anna is tall, about 6’0”, and very strong, with thick layers of bulk beneath fair skin and proportionate muscle mass. She has striking grey eyes that have a strange fire in them, and short, choppy brown hair. Anna is square-jawed, with a long bumpy nose from getting it broken over the years.
Personality: Anna is incredibly soft, but that doesn’t make her naive. She’s an incredibly dedicated scholar who has spent years memorizing her kingdom’s history and working incredibly hard to be a good queen. She can be pretty badass on her own when not battling with crippling self doubt, so good for her.
Role: Princess

Other: Anna is from a long line of half-Faerie. The royal family keeps marrying into various Faerie families and that results in… stuff. So far Anna has shown no capacity for magic, but time will tell.
Name: Destiny Curio
Age: 21
Gender: Nonbinary, she/they. AFAB.
Orientation: very much a lesbian, thank you very much.
Appearance: Lean but strong, with a sandy topaz skin tone and narrow, close-set eyes. She has jet black hair that comes to her jawline and prominent cheekbones. She has kind brown eyes and styles her hair in a ponytail to keep it from getting in her eyes.
Personality: Ready to fight anyone and everyone if they insult her girlfriend. Destiny is a very driven young woman who will do anything to reach her goal, and doesn’t care what people say to discourage her.

Name: Teigi Namaka

Gender: Male, he/him
Orientation: Extremely gay
Appearance: 5'9, lanky with some muscles and freckles everywhere. Light green eyes and messy ash-brown hair that grows down to his shoulders, usually back in a ponytail.
Personality: Teigi's very patient and kind, and willing to die for his friends. He's a smooth talker, and a creative person. He loves poetry and writing, and plans to write a book of his travels.
Role: Sneaky rogue with a heart of gold trope personified
Background: Teigi was born in a poor village, where he grew up having to steal for money. At 17, he moved to a bigger city, where he kept stealing, but only from richer people.
Other: He has an orange cat named Ren.
