Melissa sighed softly, holding on tightly. "Yeah, sure…" She whispered, leaning up against him.
Melissa sighed softly, holding on tightly. "Yeah, sure…" She whispered, leaning up against him.
Lucas kissed Melissa softly and held her close, resting his head against hers. "I love you…"
Melissa huddled up closer to him, leaning more into him. "I love you, too…" She whispered, leaning into him.
Lucas kept quiet until the oven beeped to tell them that the nuggets were done, at which point he jumped a bit and put on the oven mitts.
Melissa smiled softly, rubbing at her eyes when he walked away. "Mm, what do you want to drink?"
"Uhm… anything is fine. Juice or something, maybe?" Lucas shrugged and pulled the nuggets out of the oven.
Melissa nodded a little. "I think we have Apple Juice." She hummed, pulling out the gallon.
"Sounds good." Lucas carefully set the tray on the top of the stove so it could cool.
Melissa poured both of them a glass, handing over his. "I love you~"
"Love you too, Mel." Lucas kissed Melissa's cheek and drank some of his juice. "They should be cool enough to eat soon."
"Mm, alright. That's fine." Melissa nodded, tucking her hair out of her face. "Can we cuddle after?"
"Sure, Mel." Lucas split the nuggets between two plates and handed one off to Melissa. "Here you are, darling."
Melissa smiled softly, sitting down at the table. "Thank you, love." Melissa hummed, smiling up at him.
"Mhmm." Lucas sat down with Melissa and started eating, humming softly to himself as he did so.
"Mm, we could play games in the fort." Melissa smiled softly, resting her head on his shoulder as she ate.
"What kinda games? Like… board games?" Lucas asked softly.
"Yeah, like board games. Or card games." Melissa hummed in response, sitting back up.
Lucas nodded a bit and soon finished his nuggets. "Yeah, sure. Sounds good to me."
When Melissa had cleared her plate, she stood up and offered to take his. "Mm, why am I so sleepy..?"
Lucas shrugged a bit and allowed Melissa to take his plate. "No idea, darling. Are you not sleeping well?"
"I thought I had been sleeping fine, but now I'm questioning it." Melissa sighed softly, rinsing the plates off. Dropping them into the dishwasher, she turned to look at him.
"Mm…" Lucas pulled Melissa close and kissed her again. "Is there anything I can do to help?"
"I don't think so… unless you know what's wrong." Melissa mumbled, burying her face in his shoulder. "Mm… but I wouldn't mind it if we could snuggle up under the fort."
"I don't really know what's wrong, unfortunately… I'd tell you if I could, though." Lucas sighed softly.
Melissa nodded, wrapping her arms around his waist. “You’re fine, I doubted you would know.”
Lucas nodded a bit and led Melissa over to the blanket fort. "Alright… I love you."
Melissa climbed under the fort, laying on her back. “I love you, too…” She whispered, holding her arms out towards him.
Lucas huddled up in Melissa's arms with a contented hum, tangling himself up with her.
Melissa grinned, wrapping her legs around him. She buried her face in his shoulder, sighing contently. “Mm…”
Lucas smiled gently as well, nuzzling into Melissa's hair as he pulled her closer. "What game you wanna play?"
