(Lol)
"Love you too~" Lucas replied, returning the nuzzles and the soft smile. "Now, where are we heading?"
“Mm…” Melissa glanced around, still smiling softly. “I think there’s a candle store right around the corner. It wouldn’t surprise me if their candles are on clearance.”
"Mm, maybe. Any candles you like in particular?" Lucas asked, holding a little tighter to Melissa's hand.
“I mean, all the Christmas ones typically smell pretty amazing. Like the peppermint ones, or the ones that smell like Christmas trees…” Melissa trailed, a soft look on her face.
Lucas nodded a bit. "Yeah, that sounds nice… I can't remember if we ever put out any candles at my house."
“Mm, probably not a good idea with Claus around. He’d probably have broken them.” Melissa laughed softly, pulling him towards the shop. “Do you mind going in?”
"I don't mind, Mel, and you're probably right." Lucas laughed softly. "Or he'd have melted them down for whatever reason…"
“Probably. Or spilled the wax on the floor.” Melissa snickered some. “He wasn’t the gentlest, was he?”
"No, he wasn't." He laughed a bit more and kissed Melissa again. "I got the gentle genes. Claus was pretty chaotic."
“Wouldn’t it be weird if it was the other way around? I’d probably have been better friends with him, then…” Melissa hummed softly, kissing him in return.
"Yeah, probably. And that would have been very sad for me." Lucas smiled gently down at Melissa.
"Mm, it would have been. And we probably wouldn't be here right now, if that had been the case." Melissa hummed softly, pecking his lips.
"Probably not, no…" Lucas returned the kiss and pulled Melissa close. "I honestly can't imagine you with Claus. He was always too much for me. So much energy."
"Mm, yeah… he was always a bit much for my taste as well." Melissa hummed, nuzzling his nose. "I like you quite a lot, more."
Lucas returned the nuzzles, still smiling gently. "Glad to hear it, Mel. I'm honestly not sure how he had so many girlfriends."
"Mmm, nor do I, besides the fact that he was quite the charmer. Even in his brutality." Melissa hummed softly, resting her head on his shoulder.
"Yeah, and he shares my dashing good looks." Lucas laughed softly. "I'm prettier, though."
"That you are, princess." Melissa grinned, running her fingers through his hair. "You're plenty charming, as well."
Lucas stuck his tongue out a bit when Melissa pet him and kissed her cheek. "Glad you think so, darling."
Melissa smiled, burying her face in his shoulder. "Mm, I do~" She hummed in a light hearted tone. "I love you~"
"Love you too, Mel~" Lucas nuzzled into Melissa's hair and hugged her tightly.
Sighing softly, she melted into his arms with a light smile. "Mm… maybe we should have just stayed home. Or gone to the clearing."
"Well, we can do that after we're done here, if you want." Lucas hummed softly to himself.
"Mm… but I like cuddling." Melissa insisted, pulling his waist closer to herself. "I just wanna cuddle."
Lucas laughed lightly and flushed a bit when Melissa pulled him closer. "Yeah, yeah… we can do whatever you wanna do."
Melissa let her chin rest on his shoulder, keeping a tight hold on him. "Mm… but I always decide. Don't you want to choose, sometime?"
"Not really. I'm kind of a pushover, to be honest." Lucas snickered a bit. "I'm happy to go with the flow, darling."
Melissa rolled her eyes, kissing his nose. "Y'know, you can be difficult when you're trying not to be." She hummed, pulling back from the hug.
"I can be, but I'm usually not." Lucas shrugged a bit and returned the kiss. "I love you, darling~"
