She continued to hold him, not pressing him to say anything until he was ready.

He kept his eyes closed tightly, still desperately trying to come to terms with this.

She held him and softly started humming the same tune she had learned from him.

He started to relax a little as she hummed, trembling very faintly for a moment.

Feeling the tension start to leave him, she kept humming softly as she held him.

He was slowly relaxing as she hummed, staying close to her.

She smiled softly and kissed his cheek, still humming and holding him close.

He let out another slow breath.

She gently rubbed his back and looked up at him to gauge if his mood had improved and how much her actions had helped.

He opened his eyes, looking at her quietly.

She met his gaze and gently moved her hands up to hold his face. “Are you alright?” she asked softly.

He shook his head a little. "Not really."

She nodded softly in understanding and hugged him again. “It’s going to be ok.” she said, if only to reassure him.

He let out a faint breath, nodding slightly.

She just held him close, wishing there was something more she could do at the moment to help him.

He kissed her cheek softly.

She couldn't help but smile a little at the gesture before she gently returned the kiss.

He smiled a little bit as well.

Seeing him smile again, after that news, eased some of her worries about him.

He ran his hands through his hair again.

She sighed and kissed his cheek softly.

He gave her another small, tentative smile.

She smiled softly back and hugged him again.

He hugged her back.

She started rubbing gentle motions against his back.

He relaxed a little bit, leaning into her.

She smiled softly at that and started humming again as she continued to move her hands against his back.

He stayed still.

She kept humming softly and traced her fingers against his back.

He was quiet, letting her trace.
